Laura is fantastic…read more She has been giving lessons to my 5 year old son for about a year now, and her methods combined with her patience far exceed anything I had hoped for. She is able to keep him engaged and interested in the music and the lesson in a way that I never expected. Like most 5 year olds, he is easily distracted and seems to want to move on to the next interesting thing every 3 minutes, but he can sit through her lessons with unexpected focus. Its not 100%, but that is about the child and not the teacher. The skill and technique is how to bring that attention back to the lesson, and being patient is key. She is clearly a talented performer and musical expert, yet she is so very open to our suggestions, from the duration and focus of a lesson to even the kind of music that we feel our son would most respond to. Not only is she a wonderful pianist, but she is also an absolute joy to work with. As our wedding day grew closer, Insio had created an outline of potential wedding pieces that she could play throughout the ceremony including: Opening, Processional, Readings, and Recessional. We then met with Insio so she could play each sample piece and discuss timing with us. She was also open to any suggestions we had. Overall, the music she played was wonderful throughout our ceremony. Although we originally outlined the timing for our ceremony, the timing for our Best Man and Maid of Honor walk wasn't on key. However, Insio knew how to improvise the music to make it seem just flawless and it worked out perfectly. Insio is definitely a perfectionist when it comes to her music profession. I occasionally give discounts per the situation of the gig so please feel free to ask if budget is limited. I also teach private and group guitar and piano lessons by traveling to the student's home throughout the bay area. Music Lessons are $35 for 30 minutes for mobile lessons in the Antioch, Brentwood & Oakley area. For Pittsburg mobile lessons there's a $5 travel expense. For Concord there's a $10 travel expense. For Walnut Creek there's a $15 travel expense. ​ For group lessons my rate is the same as mentioned above but each student gets to split the price evenly among how many students are in the group lesson. For example, a 30 minute lesson in Walnut Creek is $50. For a group lesson of two students each student will only have to pay $25 each.
