Strangers, who are often hairdressers themselves frequently stop me to compliment, admire and take a closer look. And, he's got personality too- he makes me feel like a million dollars everytime I visit. Definitely recommend- especially for short cuts.

MVP's core market is men, and they seek to please their core market however possible. They provide an array of televisions and video game consoles for your entertainment while you wait, an assortment of magazines to read, an internet connected computer, and a foosball table (seriously). Additionally, each station has a TV which you are provided a remote control for. As far as entertainment goes, definitely the best experience at a salon for me. But how about the cut? Although I've had a couple of bad experiences with new hairdressers, most of my visits to MVP have been successful. Most of my cuts were done by Lubna (who I strongly recommend), but some of the other staff had a hand once and a while. I particularly enjoy the head massage and hot cloth on my face, and of course the haircut!

We were very pleased with the service. Julie Ann really listened to us, offered lots of advice and explained what she was doing. My hair was blond and has been for many, many years. His ass't Linda took me to a chair and promptly started to wash my hair. I asked her if they could give me a shine toner/gloss and she said yes. Ziad then came out, looked at my hair and told Linda the toner to use. The toner she used, turned me into a brunette. I was horrified. Ziad told me that he was the expert and he would call me if he needed my assistance. (What???). Then, he decided to use a color remover - left it up to Linda to monitor. My hair then turned auburn! When I showed a picture of me from my phone from last week, he told me that it was not the color I came in with. He basically called me a liar. Ziad is pompous, scarcastic, egotistical, rude and completely lacks customer service skills. He did NOT take responsibility for his errors! STAY AWAY from this shop unless you are prepared to be abused by the owner!

This place is actually quite eye-catching on the inside and very welcoming. They have a clean environment to work in, which provides me with comfort. The staff are definitely among the nicest stylists I've met. They can tolerate children in their chairs, which is more than I can say for other places. They have a way of talking to anyone and making them feel very welcome and at home. Since it is classified as a 'family' salon, the prices are actually cheaper than other places. I don't feel like I'm blowing my whole paycheque on a hairdo, which is definitely a nice thing. Riverpark Beauty, here I come!

The color came out perfect, although not as dense as I would have liked. As for styling I saw the manager, he was a nice enough guy and did an excellent job cutting my bangs so they were extremely blunt. After a month I had over 1 inch of roots showing, and I am not very impressed. I would go back for the cut but no more color for me, it is way to expensive for color that doesnt last long, and goes brassy quickly.
