I had the chance to check it out at the physical restaurant and it's better than what I remembered. The salt and pepper chicken wings had a nice crisp to it and was seasoned very well, garnished with green onions, and cooked with red pepper flakes for a slightly spicy but savory juicy wing. The eggplant dish, which I forgot the actual menu name was fried crispy, had a sweet crunch to it in a savory sauce that honestly was life changing. I've never had eggplant cooked this way before but it's something I'd want to get every single time. The green beans with pork was stir fried well with a generous amount of pork for a well balanced dish of soft yet firm veggies and savory protein. The honey walnut shrimp was coated and fried to perfection and kept its crunch as the meal winded down after an hour. The sauce was a perfect blend of sweet richness, but didn't take away from the quality of the shrimp. The restaurant itself was pleasant and seated my party of 7. 6/5 stars if I could.

Not sure exactly how long they have been at this location but I seem to remember a not as appealing restaurant being there before. You walk in and there is enough room for about twenty or so people to dine inside. Always a plus. Staff was super friendly. I'm used to having to pay before served, as that seems to be the norm these days in many placed, not Mae's I was told pay when I leave. That helps to cement in the true restaurant feel. Generous portions and you get a glass of water without even being asked. I did ask and was provided with nice bamboo disposable chop sticks to eat with. I had the Drunken Noodles with Pork. Hot scale 5, and yes it did bring a tear to my eye. Other restaurants can not bring on the heat and flavor. Mae's Thai Kitchen brought on the heat and flavor. I was a bit surprised that there was no hot sauce or soy at the table. Did not ask for any sauce either as was not needed. The noodles and pork were done to perfection. The mark of a good chef is no sauce extra or flavor needed. What came to my table was Perfect. Reasonably priced and could actually feed two people if you wanted. Look at my plate there was a generous supply of pork provided. Yes I'd recommend to friends and family. Hot scale runs from 1 to 5 (I said 100) Food was great!!!

The Tom Kah soup was perfectly sweet/sour - one of the best Tom soups I've ever had! The Cashew Nut tofu was savory and delicious. The veggies were cooked beautifully (not overdone) and the tofu was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. Add water chestnuts and it would be perfect. Sabrosito! My husband had the Fried Chicken Wings. They looked like Grandma's fried chicken (no one did fried chicken better) and remained crispy and juicy throughout the whole meal. Sauce was served on the side, which helped with the crispness factor. He was very happy with his meal. The hostess/server/cook (she does it all!) was attentive and helpful. And boy, can she cook! Yum! We will definitely be back!

Unfortunately I think the 'Vid killed them off (or at least that's the excuse for everything else). YuJing is pretty damn good. Honestly, it's definitely on par with the others. I'm beginning to suspect that there is a Chinese Restaurant Starter Kit available from Sysco (or whatever) because most of these spots have extremely similar food (though it's not bad, except for the egg rolls because those are always awful, and overly gingered since nobody makes their own anymore :( ) I'm happy that the menu is very large, so there's always something new to try. The Sweet and Sour Pork is fantastic. Even after a 15 minute drive back home, the batter was still ultra crispy, and the sauce is wonderful. There's a ton of pork in the container, even though I've ordered this every time, I keep forgetting to ask for no bell peppers because this time, it was nearly a whole one, which isn't bad if you love bell peppers. The salt and pepper wings are not as good as Wah Sing, or Lucky's ... they're still good. And plentiful. The chicken chow mein is also very noodle heavy, which is absolutely a good thing. Highly recommended as long as you live somewhat close because it is Take-Out ONLY. So I guess I'm not so down on take out anymore. $32 for a box of chicken chow mein, and Sweet & Sour pork. Not too overpriced, about average because at least you get a good amount of food. And it gave leftovers, even with this fatty. I'd almost give a point off because there were no fortune cookies this time!!!! Also it only took 10 minutes for it to be ready! Took longer for me to drive there!
