I'm a big dude with a high pain threshold, so its never the pain part that bugs me its the feeling of a needle under the skin that gets me. The amazing part is you can literally barely feel the needles at all pain wise and you can't feel them under your skin like you do regular needles like when you get your blood drawn. I'm going to try to quantify the pain scale in hopes it helps some one. As far as needle pain/ discomfort the acupuncture is a 1 on the scale. I would say a finger prick for a blood test is a 5. I would say a needle in your arm for drawing blood is a 6. I would say needles for dental work are a 7. Epidural and 8. And Radio Ablasion needles are a firm 10. A papercut or using a needle to get a sliver out of your finger are 10x more painful than these needles. Literally I did not notice most of them going in! Now, as far as atmosphere, it is very quiet and peaceful. Anna make you feel very comfortable. She has that "old soul" vibe that instantly give you trust. She took the time to understand my story and background before cutting to the chase. I appreciate that because it is the mark of a good practioner. It means they will cater there treatment plan instead of using a 1 size all approach. I am writing this review the same day as my appointment, so I cant testify to the long term benefits yet obviously. However, I can say that I absolutely do feel better than when I walked in! I would describe the feeling as similar to that of when you are done with a massage. Kind of like you get your blood flow back and a pleasant tingling and feeling of oxytocin. There is absolutely no pain caused by the treatment itself. It has been hours so far and the feeling is still present. The reason I am writing this review now, rather than waiting after more treatment, is because I was so impressed with Anca and her gentleness. I plan on updating review again in the future after I have had more treatments!

I had tried acupuncture, pills, changing my diet, and lifestyle changes to no avail. After the first appointment, I felt an overall change in circulation throughout my body and by the third appointment, my pain had gone away completely! She has magic hands and is always lovely to talk to during an appointment. ( Double the therapy when I feel like I can tell her anything lol! ) She is a bit on the pricey side, but she is the BEST reflexologist I've ever been to (I've been to multiple in the Bay Area as well) as she is very intuitive and knows exactly where to apply more or less pressure to get the best results. With regular appointments, I no longer have any pain in my hands or feet. My neck & back pain has also vanished after seeing her. Go give her a chance and you will see how awesome she is.

I am still waiting for a referral and prescriptions to be sent to a mail away pharmacy. I have, in the last 3 days, sent 4 communications to the office: 2 by email, 1 by fax and 1 by phone and have still not received a return communication. I am not sure what has happened to the practice between the March review and now, but I have never had such terrible service from a medical provider in my life!
