Ms. Shelby and the Children's House team have been so attentive with our daughter, from the first tour to everyday drop off and pick up. She has come such a long way in a short amount of time with her social skills, language, and behavior in new situations/around new people. We appreciate receiving updates in person, through the app, and through weekly class newsletters. The entire Hillsboro team has been welcoming from the start and we are grateful for the care and kindness they demonstrate consistently with our daughter and the community of families here. We will be moving back to our home state in the near future and are sad to be leaving such a wonderful team and daycare. The school is the most beautiful preschool I've ever seen! The playground is made of all natural products and the kids use real utensils for gross motor. The teachers has been amazing. The staff seem to genuinely care for my baby, which is nice. I really like having the app to see what's going on throughout the day, though it's only as good as the events logged by the staff. Getting several pictures of my baby every day when they are at daycare makes being apart a little easier. In my five months as a customer so far, there has been one misunderstanding about dates the nursery was open/closed due to inconsistent materials on the holiday schedule, and there has been one morning when no one was on site to take care of the children when the center opened, and one of the parents had to call Christina to let her know about the issue, and so we had to just wait there in the lobby with our kiddos until someone arrived (bless you, Kathy!). This is not easy work, so I would say the cost is justified. I'm really grateful for the care my child has received from the staff here and look forward to continuing to partner with them in caring for my child when I am unable to do so myself.

They balance having structure for the kids during the day with lots of fun activities (both inside and outside). He also raves about how much he loves the food they cook and looks forward to going every day! They have started using an app which helps with constant communication during the day. They send pictures of what the kids are doing during the day. I know that he is completely safe and they have always called immediately when they have any concerns or information to share. Our experience has been exactly that - our son has been going here for 2.5 years, and he as well as us simply love this school. From home cooked meals to learning and play and guidance on toilet training, the staff is very involved, helpful and friendly. Kids learn essential skills which make them independent such as how to eat by themselves, wear shoes and jackets by themselves etc. The best part I found is the sense of community and togetherness that the school creates between the children, teachers and the parents.
