They are always prompt with communication and any reassurance, as I can sometimes be a a mom with such needs. Lol Sarah is truly educated on the education and development of young children with several degrees and continued education for her self and sweet staff to give the best care for little ones. My daughter adores them both personally and will climb right in their lap or give hugs. They give an extended family feel combined with all the pluses of the larger scale facilities out there with organization, activities, outings. They even do Christmas Carols and cookie deliveries during the holidays! They run the care between two homes that are side by side and always clean and comfortable for the kids. They give the kids a home like feel, yet the spaces are 100% gear towards the children.

It was really important to have this feature and I had seen photos of it on the ymca website so I asked the 2 women at the front desk to please cancel the membership I just signed up for. They said they didn't know how to refund the $50 membership fee so they would have to ask the next day. It didn't get done and then I received an email from Laura Gonzales the membership coordinator saying all I could get was a $50 credit. How am I supposed to use that? It's completely useless. I am very upset about this. It's not the money, it's the principal of it. How they advertise they are family friendly and all that, then pull a fast one and keep your money and you get nothing for it because you changed your mind mid-sign up. I hadn't even left the building!

The location is also very near where my office is. I can just drive up or ride the bus and go right in. The pool is super nice, right temperature and good place to water walk or swim very slowing since I am a beginner. This is one of three YMCAs I go to in Oregon, the other one is in Albany which is a bit of a long drive. The staff that work here is super nice like the one near my flat. However, the app is very well designed with a thorough set up process for the parent, detailing the needs of your children so that you don't have to repeat yourself every time you speak with or hire a sitter-the information is entered and viewable by the sitter you confirm. This makes hiring a sitter again as easy as setting a date, choosing which sitter friends to invite, and then choosing which one to confirm of those that accept the job. I was pleasantly surprised! The app was very efficient for setting up a sitter, and Brenda arrived promptly and was a huge hit with my boys. She took them to the park, kept the tv off even with multiple requests from my 5 year old, and even got my 18 month old down in his bed for a nap (practically impossible!) As she was leaving, my 5 year old was telling her all about what they would do next time she came, he had such a good time! Payment was completely handled in the app, Brenda used the app to clock in upon arrival, and to clock out when she left, so those extra 10 minutes she stayed due to me hitting traffic on my way back home were no problem at all. The extra time was prorated and charged to my credit card so that she got paid for every minute, and I didn't have to worry about a few extra minutes costing me another hour, or any hard feelings from the sitter if she unexpectedly had to stay late. I will be using the app again, I love the speed that you can find a sitter (had 3 sitters accept in the first 20 minutes!), the versatility of time provided, and the quality of service provided.
