I used Kimberly Tyler for divorce in 2012. She is unprofessional and she ripped me off from money I had to borrow for 2,500. She looked like a rookie in front of the judge and the judge even yelled at her. I fired her because I could not get her to finish my case she stopped coming to court. If I knew then what I knew now I dog would be better off representing me. I honestly don't know how this lady got a law degree, because it she defiantly did not earn it being smart. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATTORNEY FOR BANKRUPTCY!! The 2 stars I am giving is very generous. This isn't to say she doesn't know what to do or how to, but she is unprofessional, judges and trustees sigh in exasperation at the mention of her name. My trustee actually sympathized with me during our Meeting of Creditors (whatever it is called) a meeting that she didn't show up to. Look, she will work with u for payment and that's how she gets a lot of people bc she will take anything to get started on the case...and if U are in dire need for assistance and don't have 2gs to give to a better attorney then I do what you gotta do...but in the process the headaches u get from dealing with this woman aren't even worth it. I had TWO bad experiences with her. The first one I should have reported her for her lack of integrity but I let it slide. The second time I was in dire need and she said she could help....yeah...it took OVER 6 months to even get my Chapter 7 discharged!! My case had been dismissed so many times because of her lack of preparation or just lack of anything in general. I could have filed the bankruptcy myself and had better results. She bugged me about doing a review every time she did what she was suppose to do as an attorney. Like a dog begging for treats for not shitting in the house she wanted a treat for doing her job. PROCEED WITH THIS WOMAN WITH EXTREME CAUTION!!! And if u mention this review she is going to say some things in defense. She is going to say I wasn't nice to her and she's correct. There came a time when I got fed up and frustrated with her crap that I asked her a question in the form of "what the fuck is going on" and she in turn called me a "bitch" bc I used the word "fuck". She will also try to say that I threatened her. The "threat" was more so on the lines of "I'm going to let everyone know how much of a fuck up you are" and she also threatened to have me arrested for terroristic threatening LOL. I never terroristically threatened her or caused her any bodily harm but my review my cement her already fledgling reputation. I could write a 20 page review on this woman. I never sat down with this woman in an office...or cafe...or Dunkin' Donuts. I filled out my paperwork in the backseat of her Accord. Every time we met up it was in a parking lot and the ONLY time I saw this woman standing is when we went to court. At first I felt bad for her. I even offered to help her get organized and what not...free of charge bc I had worked with attorneys previously. She needed the help. But she said her mom doesn't like strangers in the house. I would never have to come to her home in the Information Age but she isn't the brightest star in the sky so I didn't push it. Like i said proceed with extreme caution. No one ever threatened this liar. She can't even prove it and the conversation was all done via text (her favorite form of communication). She got mad when I asked her "fuck am I paying $35 for" when she sent the email saying "pay it". She responded by calling me a bitch. Look stay away from her. The lies and vindictive behavior below should be enough. She believes that her comment to my review will vindicate her but it only cements everything I've been saying. Even if she goes pro bono don't use her. I highly recommend using Michele Lebayan for your Bankruptcy. She has an OFFICE in Newark, NJ and is highly professional and thorough. The WORST LAWYER EVER!!!! Very unprofessional, unreliable, and not trustworthy. She was hired to do a Bankruptcy. Her rate was $500, a month later she dropped it down to $250. She told me the rate she charged me ($500) would include everything except the court fee. I submitted all my papers, everything she asked for, SEVEN MONTHS LATER -- after her ducking my calls and not returning my messages -- she told me I needed MORE PAPERWORK and had to call a credit counseling center. That would be an extra $50 to get the papers that they need. I'm DISABLED and I truly believe she took advantage of me. I was FED UP, and just wanted to use another lawyer, she agreed to give me $250 back -- even though she did NOTHING worth the other $250 -- I agreed because I wanted it to be over. Then she sends a letter saying she won't refund me my money that she agreed to. Nor is she going to finish working on my case. She IS A HORRIBLE LAWYER. I should have went with my first impression of her, which wasn't favorable, but due to my disability i felt my options were limited when it came to meeting with lawyers because I can't drive or walk long distances. So since she CAME TO MY HOUSE I felt she was the easiest choice. I made A HUGE MISTAKE and I hope everyone learns from my experience. DO NOT USE KIMBERLY S. I hired Kimberly Tyler to represent me in a bankruptcy case and it was the worst decision that I've ever made. She made all kind of promises that she didn't keep. She was very unprofessional with an attitude as if she was doing me a favor when I paid her in full on the very first meeting. She has absolutely no organizational skills, no office space, so she meets you at the local IHOP, repeatedly loss paperwork, changed and canceled meeting 2 and 3 times a day, missed deadlines that cost me additional fees and promised to reimburse me and DID NOT. The cost wasn't much, but it was the principle. I have several text messages and emails from her assuring me that she would pay me the money and the day after my bankruptcy was FINALLY discharged she emailed me to tell me that since she got me out of debt (which is what she was hired and paid to do) she would not be paying me a dime.
