If I could a give zero star I would. The gentleman cashier working Thursday May 25th evening is the rudest person I have ever encountered working at a retail business. I wash my car there and buy snacks, lottery tickets etc there. Never again. He is so ignorant it's almost laughable. I asked for a bag for the ten items I bought and he threw it at me and wouldn't even offer to bag it. As I was bagging my snacks, another customer wanted to purchase some cigarettes and the cashier argued with him because he (the cashier) didn't understand what brand he was asking for. We just looked at each other and left. Good luck Kimmer Market if you continue to employ this person, I have had more than one incident with this guy and it's unacceptable in a retail service oriented business. Kimmer has been the one stop shop of Dewinton since I moved here many years ago. Unfortunately it feels like a gag reel, or one of those Vegas restaurants where you you to have people be miserable to you. the staff hate their lives, and like to make it obvious. Prices are jacked up, especially if there is a flood, pandemic, or any other situation where people are in desperate need of particular items. So unfriendly. Don't use the drive-through car wash, I ran it through twice (they gave me a second car wash because first one was so bad) and my car was still dirty. The attendant even suggested that I don't do the drive-through bc it is so bad. But why are you taking people's money then if it doesn't work? Suggest you keep an eye on the products and their respective expiry dates. I'd really like to support the business but it just is consistently bad. I live three minutes down the road. I frequent and like to support the businesses within this small strip mall. Except I hate the gas station. The service is terrible, The store is dirty, the washrooms disgusting and the attendants will tell you not to use their drive-through car wash Because it won't clean your car. They gave me a Second free car wash because it wouldn't take dirt, yes just dirt, off the car. I will drive to Okotoks to buy gas unless I am really, really short on fuel. Despite being the only gas station I can access within under 5 minutes from my house, I will never be going back here to make any purchases. I provided the attendant a $10 bill to change for loonies so I could use the car wash. I went outside and realized she had given me 8 loonies. I went back into the store to confront her on the issue and was immediately belittled and verbally abused. She called me a liar, a bad customer and told me to shut up. When I asked to speak to the manager she said she was the manager. I in no way used threatening language or body movements, but I was treated as though I was a piece of scum. really don't like going there to buy something. a lot of items in store don't have the price displayed. but items are expensive. for a while they wanted me to pay for loto 649 with cash rather than interact ( a few years ago). most of the staff barely speak english much less understand it. they do not take much care of gas pumps (spillage, etc.) i complained to them a couple of time about not having anything to clean windshield. in that situation i phoned gasplus and complained about kimmers. for a while the washer tanks were maintained but then it retured to same old, same old. the only reason they are still in business is because of the rich people living within walking distance at heritage point. read more

I'm talking about you bandwagon hoppers that freak out, spread the word, and think later. Find me a receipt that reads "24 pack of water" .... I challenge you. All I see is 24 SINGLE UNITS of water charged at a pretty standard price for a small gas station / store. Go to any gas staion, take 24 bottles of water from their cooler, and ring them in ... let me know how it looks on your slip. I've seen more posts on this stupid "gouging" issue than I have on relief efforts for these people. Before you try to shut small, LOCAL business owners out of business for simply selling their goods as always, use your damned heads. Maybe this gas station only had limited water on hand. Rather than sell its last case to a single customer, they plopped it the cooler in hops of spreading it around ... and one person bought every single one. "Poor overcharged guy" becomes "Evil, Greedy bastard" and the viral shitstorm continues. I don't know - I wasn't there - I don't have the facts ... a common trait I share with you idiots currently destroying their reputation. If price gouging is going on, and Im sure somewhere in the province it is, let's review it AFTER everyone is safe and what not.
