LOVED this hotel when I stayed here last year. I thought I'd left a review on Yelp (must have been…read moreTripAdvisor), but I guess it slipped my mind, so let me correct that, now. I find the one star reviews very puzzling, but they are from several years ago, so maybe management changed? My experience was fantastic! I stay in BWs all over the country, and this one is definitely in my top 5. Let me explain my criteria...I don't need a hotel to be fancy. I need it to be nice (not scary), very clean, reasonably quiet (no perpetually loud guests, minimal traffic noise, etc.), reasonably priced (under $100 is great, under $125 is mandatory), and the staff have to be friendly and helpful (in return, I am also friendly, reasonable, and respectful). BW Oasis Inn ticked ALL my boxes. And bonus...quite possibly the best shower pressure I've ever experienced in my life. We're talking fire hose levels, here. I gave serious thought to staying a second night, despite needing to be in Houston the next day. And even though I stayed in that shower for a solid 30 minutes, the hot water never wavered! Now, to be fair, they didn't seem to be packed that night, so that might've helped on the water and noise fronts, but whatever. If I'm ever back in the area (or even close...I'll drive out of my way, a little, for a hotel I trust), I'll definitely be staying here! Oh, and there's a great donut place very near the hotel, so I picked up some of the best donuts and breakfast sandwiches I've ever tasted, too! Can't remember the name, but it's just this tiny, white building off by itself, just down the road, if you're headed towards Houston. Sweet owners, too. Actually, it looked like a gem of a small town, and I wish I hadn't gotten in so late, so I could've checked it out a bit more. Next time! :-)

I got to my room. Light from the street was coming through the sheer blind on the window. I tried…read moreto close the thick blinds but they don't close. My room was on the first floor and could be seen from the parking lot and street. When I inquired about the blinds, the attendant didn't seem interested. I asked for a room on the other side of the building or second floor and was informed there were no other rooms. Im here on business and want to turn off the lights and get to sleep. I don't understand why this is a thing. Don't stay here if you have an expectation of privacy. In the morning, i woke up, straightened up the bed and saw a blood spot on the edge of the mattress. Im pretty reasonable with most things but this is disgusting. The breakfast spread was actually very good and the manger in the morning was nice however, I wont be coming back here, but I hope they read this and attend to issues that shouldn't be a thing.

I stayed here when I was visiting some family in area. Everyone is super nice and hotel looks nice…read morealso. The night I was here was during some cold weather and in the morning there was no hot water due to some issue with in hotel. They did put a note under the door that night saying there would be no hot water not sure if it was related to pipes freezing or what. Luckily we both took a shower the night before but think they have some plumbing issues as taking a 5 min shower the water would not drain and after 5 min the tub would be filled up. I know last year they were doing a bunch of remodeling and reopened the hotel under FairBridge Inn & Suites. I would only stay here if there were no other options in Canadian.

I am very disappointed in your hotel. I arrived on the evening of 6/24/2014. After checking in I…read morewas informed that you have No WIFI, and all the smoke detectors were removed from the entire 2nd floo, and the ceiling was falling out. Then I get in my truck the next morning and someone had stolen an entire tank of gas out of my truck that was parted next to the front door of the hotel. I would expect this from a low rent motel but you charged me $158.19 per night. I will be posting this on Yelp, Facebook, Twitter and any other Blog are public site and informing the many oil and gas company I work for as an independent Landman in the hope that I keep other from staying at your hotel. I'm also going to forward this to the Chamber of Commerce and the Texas State Fire Inspector in your area in the hope that someone makes sure you have a fire security system in place.
