I had been going to Kim's tailors since I was in high school so I am a longtime customer for both dry cleaning and alterations and while her work was pricey, it was worth it as she would help to make sure any alterations were truly flattering. Recently, I went in with my elderly father to have his suit tailored for my wedding and Kim shooed us off and said she was too busy to do the alterations. We were flabbergasted as we have been customers for decades. I understand she may have been busy but the way the message was delivered made us feel less than and was disappointing to hear from someone who we have referred neighbors to and provided business. Because of my experience, I have not been back and will not go back. I would say that if it is a slow season for Ms. Kim, you may have luck but if it's busy I'd suggest looking elsewhere for someone who can do it for less and still make you look and feel good. read more

This review is based on customer service soley. No services rendered. I went into this cleaners attempting to get a crotch sewn back up on pants same day. The employee/worker never came to the counter and never looked at me. I said what I needed and they said they were too busy. I walked out went back in the store and asked if I paid more would they take them and was again told they were too busy without worker looking at me. Will not go back due to worker not even giving me eye contact nor coming to counter. read more

I've had three garments altered here by Miss Kim and am so happy with how they all came out! The first was a black jumpsuit that was hemmed. The second was an all white formal dress from my high school graduation (in 2004) that hadn't been stored properly and was stained. She dry cleaned it to perfection! I came back to have my maid of honor gown altered, it needed a lot of work since I lost weight but it's perfect now and I have every confidence in it for the wedding this month! I was looking for a tailor in my area to alter my dress for a wedding. The dress had a couple of hem lengths. I went into the shop on a Friday, with appropriate Covid-19 precautions. Kim was professional throughout. She measured the length and said the dress would be ready the following Saturday. The week's time was ample for it to be ready ahead of the time that I needed. Though the dress wasn't ready on the day promised, it was ready on the following Monday. It was hemmed beautifully and pressed. I was very pleased and looked beautiful by all accounts. read more

I had an awful experience at Kim's Tailor/Cleaners and do not recommend this business. I dropped off two suits and five dress shirts in September and picked them up about a week later. I was unpacking them from their plastic covering in December to prepare for a funeral and noticed one of the suits was missing its dress pants. I searched the entire closet and could not find them. I went to Kim's Tailor/Cleaners, explained what happened, and asked if there was a possibility they still had them. The woman working instantly became defensive and kept shouting at me that I needed to search my home. I kept repeating that I already had and asked her to search their facility. She finally agreed after much repetition, but it's been two weeks and I never heard back from her. Not only did they lose my husband's suit pants, Kim's Tailor/Cleaners provided awful customer service. read more

As a business owner, I am appalled at the service I received today. I came in to pick up an order for a friend, who was not given a receipt by the woman at this establishment and was verbally attacked by the man there today, the tailor's husband. The man had no answers to my questions about the order, if it was available to be picked up, and was visibly bothered by my questions. I was told in a loud tone that she was not there and told to come back in an hour, which I did. I went to the car wash down the road as I am a member there and then to Dunkin' across the street to eat a quick breakfast since i believed I'd be coming in to pick up the clothes and then head on my way. However, when I got there, the man said he could not give me the clothes because he didn't know me (but also does not know who dropped it off), insisted on a receipt that was not provided to my friend, found a note with numbers the owner left behind, placed them in the system, then made a call, and placed his wife on speaker. My friend was on the phone the entire time to help me verify the items she dropped off which I communicated with the woman and she verbally acknowledged she remembered the exact items. Instead of asking for another form of identification she proceeded to yelling at me because I was "bothering" her husband and asking why was I there. I simply replied with "I'm trying to do my friend a favor" and asked her husband why was she yelling at me and he said "she's not yelling at you" as he yelled at me too. Not once was I ever disrespectful to either. Not once did I have an attitude. I asked questions as I was doing a favor and my friend was on the phone to verify her order. She was on the phone for the first interaction and the second when I came back. He continued to yell at me and verbally attack me and I kept telling him that I was only doing a favor for my friend because she was at work and lived far. I even told him that as a business owner this was not how you conduct yourself and this was unfair to me and unwarranted when I had been nothing but respectful. He did not care and yelled me out of the store. 15 minutes later he calls my friend to VERIFY if she sent anyone in. Said he'd had experiences where people try to steal from them and so he did not give me the order. He didn't apologize to my friend. His wife did not apologize to my friend. He could've easily handled the situation differently and verified while I was in store by possibly calling her directly. Especially because my friend was on loud speaker the entire second time giving me the details of her order. I've never dealt with this kind of interaction and I now understand they've had past experiences that may cause them to be careful but that does not justify disrespecting me in that manner. As a service based business, you are in the service of people, and how you treat your customers and visitors is crucial and very telling. I will NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone I know. I would never willingly place anyone I know in this situation. I only hope that this is a learning experience for Kim's Tailor. read more

I've taken many bridesmaid dresses here for hemming and large alterations. I've always been happy with her work. She is creative and so professional. She could sew designer pieces!!
