Our one-year old daughter has been at Kinder College for two months now and we are extremely happy with the amazing staff and excellent care she receives. They truly care and go above and beyond. There seem to be a few people dragging down the centre's rating based on their own misunderstanding of the centre's deposit policies, which are very clearly spelled out and explained (and similar to other centre's policies). Don't let that fool you - this is an excellent child care centre that I fully recommend. read more

Zero stars! This daycare centre primary focus is money! My experience with them is they use pressure and fear tactics on parents so they will put down a deposit. No matter what they tell you, there are other daycares that will happily help you. Do your research and don't allow this company to pressure you into making a decision on the spot. I lost a $1000 deposit as they took advantage of me being a new parent and not knowing or understanding this system. Our daughter started at Kinder College when she was only 6 months old, and she has been there now for 20 months (infant and toddler classes). It was incredibly hard leaving my 6 month old, but the teachers and staff at Kinder College have been wonderful and incredibly warm and loving, and my mind was quickly put at ease. She has learned so much from her teachers, does frequent art projects, music class, french class, and they really put a focus on development and learning. More importantly, though, they really love the children and make them feel safe and loved. I've found the teachers to be very accommodating for individual concerns with our child, and she has had a great relationship with all of her teachers. I would recommend this center without hesitation. read more

If you give Kinder College the requested $1000 deposit do not expect to get it back for any reason. The reason for the rigidity is due to their preexisting decision to be unbiased with this policy. There is no grace period and no 15 day cooling off period. We feel they basically stole our money when our circumstances changed a week later. We ate the $1000 and I'm happy our daughter is not attending Kinder College. read more

Our 4-year-old daughter graduated from Kinder College last week after entering infant care there when she was 11 months. Tears were shared by myself, my wife and some of the Instructors who are very much family to my little girl. Kinder College is a little more expensive than most daycares downtown but you really do get what you pay for. Our daughter has dietary concerns and the kitchen staff accommodated us (as well as the many children in her class with other food allergies). The centre is very clean and safe and they are constantly upgrading the facilities to keep things fresh and inviting. We didn't think we were going to use the secure webcam when we first enrolled but it has been a constant fixture on our work computers and we're going to miss this now that jk is upon us. Most importantly, the Management at the centre are careful to get qualified, friendly staff that understand children's needs. There is a nice mixture of predictable schedules and ever-changing fun and educational activities catering to the child's age. The staff are professional, nurturing, patient and very organized. From day 1 we always knew our child was in good hands. We feel that our child has been properly prepared for her next step in education and Kinder College has been an amazing part of our lives. read more

Kinder College is a special place. Even though it is a large centre, it feels small and like a family. The staff set it apart with their professionalism and warmth to the children. The facilities are great -- all new, bright, cheeful and clean! I would highly recommend Kinder College to other parents. read more

We were very disappointed with this daycare.The toys were new, quality food was provided and the children were safe however, children were put under a lot of pressure to behave in a way that we felt was unrealistic and unhealthy for their age. We sincerely felt that imagination and dialogue were not endorsed by staff who preferred quiet, manageable, almost robotic kids. read more

My son attended Kinder College from the time my mat leave ended until he started JK and I couldn't be happier with the amount of love, attention and education he received. When he started JK he was well ahead of the curriculum in reading and math and he still talks about his "Daycare Mom" (Cecilia!) every day! Communication with the ECEs was great, they use an app to record exactly how much they ate, slept and used the bathroom and they send you multiple pictures/videos of your child throughout the day (I was in tears when I realized kindergarten doesn't do that!) All of the ECEs seem to love what they do. I looked at other daycares after we moved to the suburbs but none of them had the same level of energetic staff with bright, happy kids so I had no choice but to drive my son in to KC every day for a year and a half until he started kindergarten. They have a system for free parking and "baby-valet" which is handy if you drive... they always seem to be innovating and adding extras without increasing the tuition much from year to year (1-2% I think?). My daughter has gone to school here since August 2014, I would recommend this school to anyone. Not once has there ever been a concern raised in anyway. My daughter absolutely loves every single teacher that she has had, and we are always shocked at how much she learns when she is there. We are lucky to have a school like this available to us downtown. read more

I have been quite happy with my toddler going to Kinder College. As a first time mother I was quite anxious about the type of care that my son would receive, so I went to a few daycares for visits: one run by the TDSB, one Montessori, one private with high ratings and one not-for-profit. Here is why I chose Kinder College: 1) there was no pressure as to when my son should start daycare, whereas a lot of other places would rather they start at infancy (much more expensive daily rate) with the threat that there would be no space available to him when he was a toddler or preschooler if I chose to start him later 2) The facilities are new! New equipment, new toys, new cots, new area rugs, new and CLEAN toilet facilities, etc... and are being well maintained on a daily basis. 3) ALL staff are ECE or have education degrees (the teachers, the owner and the manager)- other facilities have assistants who have no real professional qualifications. 4) The classrooms are bright and airy and the classroom size is kept small : other places were very over crowded. 5) A big, safe, outdoor play space and good amounts of outdoor time, and enough space inside for days with bad weather. Other places had very limited outdoor or outdoor space was very accessible from street level, or no space designated for indoor gross motor play on bad weather days. 6) Good healthy food prepared on site with a trust worthy kitchen staff and well thought out menus that improves everyday with parent suggestions. I've been to a another daycare that serves processed food for the same money. My son is a picky eater, but not when it comes to lunchtime or snacktime at daycare! I know that he has at least one good meal in him a day. 7) My son comes home with new words. expressions, songs and rhymes that show a consistency in lessons. 8) The rates were on par with other daycares - no waitlists and you get more than some other places. 9) During the transitional period, the staff were very easy going and understanding of how much time my son needed to adjust and how much time I wanted to spend with him at the daycare. 10) They have webcams so I can check up on my son whenever I want. read more

I am so, extremely happy that I chose Kinder College for my daughter. My daughter has been here for about 2 years and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care she has received. You can tell immediately that the staff care so much about the children. My daughter has flourished and thrived here. She's 2 and a half but has an immense vocabulary, is well-mannered and kind, considerate towards other people, compassionate, affectionate, inquisitive and eager to learn, and is socially well-adjusted. I owe so much of this to the teachers that take care of her every single day. Marie and Anita in Infant 1 and Arietha, Rachel, and Reihaneh in the Toddler rooms are phenomenal. I leave my daughter here every day, fully trusting that she is receiving the best possible care away from home. My son has been attending Kinder College for the past 2 years and he loves it.  The staff are excellent with all the kids.  The centre is always clean and the food is great.  The webcam, shared pictures throughout the day (emailed by the staff), and the detailed daily report that gets emailed ensures I know exactly what my child was up to on any given day.  The teachers do an excellent job providing regular feedback on my son's progress with both learning and behaviour.  I recommended this centre to my colleague and now his son goes there as well and he loves it too. read more

Leaving your tiny children with anyone is hard parents, come on, admit it. Whether your little one is only a few months old or is preparing for Kindergarten, you will not find better caregivers than the wonderful staff at Kinder College Early Learning Centre. My little guy started in the Infant Room where he was cuddled and cared for, move onto the Toddler Room where he was encouraged to grow and try new things, and is now flourishing in the Preschool Room. Imagine morning drop-offs where you hug your babies and they run from your arms right to their teacher's! The environment is clean, the staff are happy, qualified and fun-loving, the food is healthy and prepared daily and the attention to detail for each and every child and their needs is met. Kinder has been an amazing experience for all of us and we are so lucky to have our son there! read more

We moved to Canada July 2015 and our son started at KCELC August 2015. The teachers in the toddler rooms were nothing short of fantastic! They were warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful, it made such a difference to us settling in. We left in December 2015 purely because we relocated to a neighbourhood outside of the downtown core and the commute with our son on public transport became too much for us and for him. If we could have moved KCELC with us, we absolutely would have. Why are we not giving them a 5 rating? Just because it would have been nice to have parent-teacher consultations and a more formal process for goal setting and reviewing for our sons progress. This might not be the 'done' thing in Canada, but it's what we were used to in the UK (having said that, if we had asked, I'm sure they would have accommodated us!) read more

My son was one of the first children to join Kinder College in the infant room back in February of 2010 and I feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful daycare for my son. The facilities are new, clean, bright and engaging. The food is well thought out for nutrition, variety and taste. I have also been impressed with the amount and quality of activities that are planned in the infant room. One day they are planting seedlings to watch grow, the next day they are playing with water and bubbles, the next day might be a craft, now they are planning an outing to the firehall. I never feel like my son is just left in a corner to play, I feel confident that he is being engaged and encouraged to grow and develop! But the real Kinder College difference is the owners and the staff. I have always found everyone at the centre extremely warm and welcoming. They greet my son in the morning with a hug and such warmness and say good-bye to him at the end of the day with the same love. I am always so gratified to have a teacher from the room come up to me and tell me, quite excitedly about my son's most recent accomplishment. I feel like my son is truly cared for and that they take such joy in his growth and accomplishments along the way. I know the owners and staff by name and they have taken great care to get to know us as well. I am confident that we have found a daycare centre that really, really cares. As a new centre, they certainly went through some growing pains, but at every stage the owners and staff were open and honest with the parents and were very open to our suggestions. My little one who has just turned 15 months gets excited when we pull up to the school building and starts to wiggle and point to his classroom as soon as we get in the building. I can tell that he is excited to go to "skooool" and that is so reassuring for me as a mother. I highly recommend Kinder College! read more

My son has been going here for over a year and a half and I couldn't be happier. We unfortunately had to take him out of daycare as we moved out of the country but i was very much looking forward to watching him progress into the preschool room. The teachers in the infant room are caring and supportive and understand how difficult it is to leave your child in someone else's care. They make you very comfortable and confident.The teachers in the toddler room are just as wonderful and provide structure, love and discipline at such a tricky age. I have truly loved my experience at Kinder College, as has my son. He has made friends, learned so much more than he would if he was at home with a nanny and has had great opportunity to socialize with other children. If we had not moved my son (and future children) would attend until they entered Kindergarten. There are so may families that have multiple children there and it was really wonderful to be able to have familiar faces when your child graduates to the next level in daycare. my daughter was enrolled in kinder college from early 2014 to mid 2015. i was really happy and grateful. most if not all of their teachers are ece. my daughter learnt a lot and really developed during her time there. they have birthday parties, graduation parties, mothers day and fathers day parties, and a xmas party too. and they will get the kids to make a little gift for the parents which is super sweet. the toys were in good reasonable condition. the place was clean. they had an app you can download onto your phone and from there you will get daily reports of what your child ate, nap time, how many diapers, and they will even send you a photo a day of your child. on their website they have a live webcam of their rooms which you need a password to get in for your specific room. it's not a live video feed, more like a still image every like 5 seconds or so. they also had school photos how cute is that!! infant room: courtney and tamika were the teachers at the time, tara was sometimes there to help as well. they did stroller walks, painting, songs, circle time, sensory bin. they even had a body painting day where they lined the room with paper and took off all the children's clothes with just diapers on, and let them have fun painting on the walls, on the floor and on themselves. if you didn't really love kids and want to see them have fun you wouldn't go through all that mess. it's a lot of work to wash down 10 babies afterwards not to mention preparing the room. they are also very attentive with individual needs. after a couple months there, my daughter didn't want to nap in the crib, and so they would arrange some large bean bags or mats and let my child sleep there. they taught words like more, please, water. toddler room: angie and semret were there the whole time, rachel was there in beginning but then switched with janelle. i loved this room and these teachers the most because my child spent the longest time in this room and i had the most interactions with them. once my child started toddler room they already got her to practice sitting on the potty. (they have three child-sized toliets in between the two toddler rooms and also between the two preschool rooms). my daughter learnt so much there and her speech really developed. they taught my daughter how to put on her own jacket, snow pants and boots. each teacher had her own special thing that the kids loved. semret always did my daughter's hair. angie was funny and gave big hugs. janelle sang this one song about crocodiles and other animals that the kids really loved. they truly care for the kids. i remember one time there was a diarrhea issue amongst some of the kids, and semret said that she came in earlier that morning to clean all the toys. preschool room: tanya and apple were the teachers there. i don't know much about them because i didn't do any drop off or pickups by then, so i didn't interact with them. but from what my daughter tells me everyday after school, she really liked it there too and she liked the teachers too. there they will eventually learn to potty train, they have to wear pullups when they start that room. cons: there's a short flight of stairs from the main door to the first floor infant rooms, second floor are the other rooms. so the stroller would have to be carried up and down the stairs to the storage room. most of the time either the supervisor mayram, or kana or tara or another helper will take your stroller for you, or i would do it myself. the slight con is if you go during busy times then there might be a few strollers there waiting and you will have to leave your stroller outside for bit or wait for your turn to get your stroller down. but an advantage to the stairs is that when they start toddler room they will walk the children up and down the stairs to the rooftop playground so they will develop that skill. the stairs have a set of lower handrails just for kids. they are a bit expensive, but nothing is cheap in downtown toronto, so i'm not going to fault them a star because of it. as i mentioned, in preschool room they ask that your child go in pullups instead of diapers. they preferred the ones with the side tabs (huggies pullups). but huggies pullups leak at night so i had to either buy nighttime pullups or pampers easy-ons, and so i had a huge stock of different kinds of diapers at home. and i thought it was a bit too early for my child to wear pullups, we bought it for months and they are more expensive than diapers. a good daycare is all about the teachers, and the ones i had dealt with at kinder college were all really good. read more
