Abby was so great with us and Walnut. It isn't just about teaching dogs but giving us, the furparents, tools to use and continue with.

After using 2 other companies to train our dog with the same unsatisfactory results. I was refered…read moreto this company by a friend and wow , in 2 sessions , the results were great. Rockie became attentive and focused and responds to our commands. Dawn was doing her training with a loving approach that produced great results. We highly recommend her .

Horrible dog trainer and business owner. She is a one trick pony who will give you paper handouts…read morethat you can print off the internet yourself. Do not hire this woman privately. She is a nightmare to deal with and will say things to you like, you guys SUCK at motivation. I am sure there are better ways to convey the same message without insulting your customers. Dawn is a nasty person and it became clear why she works with dogs as she has absolutely no people skills! I have never used the word SUCK in my private life yet certainly NOT in my professional life. My husband purchased 3 in home one hour lesson at $90.00 per hours for a total of $270.00 as a birthday gift for me. I explained to Dawn that my 6lb yorkie had a sensitive stomach. She pretty much bribes your dog with treats to make it appear that the dog is obeying her. Soon after she left my dog became extremely sick and vomited all the treats up. She makes you prepay so obviously cancellation was not an option at that point per her response to a request for credit for the third lesson. Dawn booked the 2nd apptmnt two weeks later as she was going on vacation. She arrives and I am not there as I am running errands for my elderly parents. I apologize and rush home. I explain to her that Romeo is still barking in the office and she asks me if I gave him a kong filled with frozen chicken broth. I again reminded her of his sensitive stomach and that I have spent over a thousand dollars because he gets HGE issues. She then looks at me and states and I quote, "Well, if you are not going to implement the ideas that I am going to give you then you will just have to figure it out for yourself for which my response was, "Then what are we paying you $90.00 an hour for? She then went on to say, I don't spend as much time with your dog as you do so only you can know what can soothe him. As you can imagine I was not happy as stopping a dog from barking should be number one on any dog trainers curriculum. Now I am upset and it tell her I don't think the lesson was going to work today and asked her to leave knowing that my dog was going to pick up on the hostility I was feeling due to her response and inadequate skills as a dog trainer. As she was leaving I also gave her feedback that it would have been nice to get a reminder either the day before or day of the appointment as life is busy for most people. Her response was , "Don't tell me how to run my business." So much for the customer is always right. The next day my husband sent her a text stating it was obvious the 3rd lesson would not be productive or realistic and since we only received one lesson lets just part ways and please issue a refund for the 3rd lesson. Her response did not address any of our concerns and she only responded with, "When would you like to schedule the 3rd lesson. Wow, this woman must be so desperate for the money that she refuses to refund ONE lesson. Mind you, at this point I never got a 2nd lesson due to her unprofessionalism but I own that I asked her to leave out of pure frustration and did not expect a refund for that one. At that point I told my husband that HE can take the lesson with her as I was not going to let her get away with 180.00 for doing absolutely nothing because I think that is what she is banking on. As I anticipated no courtesy appointment reminder call was given to my husband probably out of pure vengeance and stubbornness on Dawns part. She arrives and I stay clear of the lesson. This was a birthday gift to me from my husband and a total fiasco thanks to Dawn and her unprofessionalism . It is clear why she works with dogs as she has absolutely no people skills! Do not hire this woman privately unless you want to throw away hundreds of dollars with nothing to show for it!

Awesome, awesome experience for me and my dog Big Daddy…read more my big, 2.5 yr old boy was going crazy when new people came around. He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.
