I am a big hiker/snowboarder and was experiencing pain while doing my favorite activities and just in everyday life. This weekend went hiking in the Tetons and had no pain and got to enjoy the hike as humans are meant to. I owe that to the Impackt team!!! Excited to see how the snow season treats me with my knees feeling good and strong again. Feeling knowledgeable about what's going on inside my body and what needed to be done to heal it from within was also such a huge help.

They told me what exercises to do and then went back to another patient. Before coming back to UT, I checked my insurance to see which PT was in network near South Jordan. There were several but ImPackt stood out as the best choice for athletes and very active individuals (I love to golf, hike, and ski). I knew I made the right choice on my first visit. Not only was the location very convenient, but the office was bright, modern, and spotless. The care I received was completely different from New York. The therapists who cared for me were hands-on (massage, scraping, vibration, etc.), friendly, and so knowledgeable. And the knee bender machine they have was a game changer! If I ever need PT again, I'll definitely be calling ImPackt.

I had what I thought was a groin strain that had been nagging me for 3 weeks, and my coach told me…read moreit was time to get into Dr. Nelson and figure out what was really going on. He immediately had me take some x-rays, which I thought was going to be a huge waste of time and money because it was obviously just a muscle issue. I wouldn't be walking if it was bone, right? I was so wrong. Turns out that the injury is actually a broken pelvis. Dr. Nelson's intuition and on-site imaging technology changed my entire season over about the course of 5 minutes. I'm so grateful he didn't just do the basic physical that most doctors would have done and just assigned me some strengthening exercises. He got to the heart of the issue. What impresses me most about Dr. Nelson, however, is his bedside manner. He was so kind when I burst into tears and has been patient with me when I have argued (again and again) about what exercises he'd let me do. He knows I'm extremely competitive and is good at harnessing that to help me be the "best healer" I can be and get back to racing as quickly as possible. The whole staff is super kind and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Although I can't quite say it's been a pleasure being their patient, they couldn't make the experience any better.

had an extremely upsetting experience with Advanced Sports Medicine Clinic…read more I came in experiencing significant lower back pain, and I specifically told the doctor that I was also having abdominal pain and symptoms that were concerning to me. The Doctor still proceeded and gave me two steroid injections in my lower back. Shortly after being seen there. my condition became significantly worse and I ended up in the ER. I went into urinary retention, required a catheter, developed severe weakness in my legs, and eventually lost the ability to walk normally. I was ultimately hospitalized while doctors tried to determine what was happening. What has been especially difficult for me is knowing that I was trying to communicate that something felt seriously wrong with my body before everything escalated. Regardless of what ultimately caused my neurological symptoms, I wish my concerns and the combination of symptoms I was reporting had been taken more seriously and that I had been advised to seek a higher level of medical evaluation. After everything I went through--the ER, hospitalization, skilled nursing home, loss of mobility, bladder issues, and the ongoing recovery, I was honestly shocked that the clinic had the audacity to call me and still pursue my copay as though this had been an ordinary visit after what they put me through, given the circumstances, I would have expected significantly more compassion and consideration. This experience has had an enormous impact on my life, and unfortunately I would not feel comfortable returning to this clinic or recommending it to someone experiencing complex or rapidly worsening symptoms under this clinics care.

I was so frustrated at my experience, that I've waited over a year to review Foundation PT, more…read moreaccurately Brad Powell, to be sure I felt as disgusted at my care, a year later. I was extremely concerned about getting a good PT upon double fracturing my tibia March of 2025. After much looking and asking questions, I had high hopes for Foundation PT. The staff is helpful and very friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed them. However, Brad Powell, was just too busy to adequately care for me. When I met with Piper, she was great. When Brad P took is obligatory "turn", he was helping 2 patients at once. He'd tell me he wanted to "watch" me do something, which was really code for, it's my other patients turn, so I'll pretend to watch you, while I help them. Then he'd proceed to completely ignore me while I did the assigned task. At one point in my care, I was given a questionnaire about my feedback. I was honest, and that was a big mistake. I complained at his lack of clear explanations, and I was treated with passive/agressive , condescending behavior. I'd tried to reach out to Brad several times after appointments, for clarification, but could never get a call back. He was not happy when I brought that up in the survey. About that same time, we got talking to a cute girl who told us she'd been hired to clean the beds. You could imagine my surprise/concern when she was leading my therapy a week later. She had no idea how I was supposed to do my new tasks, and that was about the time, I'd had enough. I also felt they didn't listen to my concerns. When I repeatedly told them my leg was hurting worse than when I'd fallen and fractured it, they ignored me. I know they followed my Dr's 'prescription' but a few weeks later, I found out I'd been misdiagnosed by the Orthapedic, and my leg was, in fact, substantially worse than when I initially fractured it. The misdiagnosis and treatment were on the Orthopedic Dr, but if he'd have listened to/heard me, some of the problem might have been discovered sooner. I'd think twice about going there, and maybe head to Intermountain PT, where they only help 1 person at a time!!
