This establishment is already closed. I dined here prior pandemic and food was good. Noise level is average.

About ten minutes was our waiting time so we ended up browsing through breads. After heading back, I noticed high-chairs were available for playful children. We were seated at the outer part of the restaurant but it was a bit smelly, although it seemed tolerable since the rest of us didn't seem that bothered by it. Condiments parts of the table also needed cleaning. BEVERAGE We just had service water but adding the lemon slices made it interesting. FOOD Deep-fried Chicken with Crispy Garlic was just okay while Deep-fried Squid with Spicy Salt & Pepper was delicious for the first couple of bites, but it got too salty later on. Coating was also too thick to finish halfway and chips were so-so. Xiao Long Bao was very hot inside but eating with a regular or congee spoon was slightly difficult because of their small sizes. At least Siumai, Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet, and Modern Shanghai Seafood Fried Rice were typical favorites that ran out quickly. SERVICE Dayush (the usual). Waiting time for all food items was fair.

I invited my mom to have a dinner date with me because she's been living in Hong Kong for many years, and she absolutely loves Chinese food! Before you even enter the restaurant, you can really see how well they've decorated the restaurant! From the entrance, to the ceilings, walls, tables, absolutely everything! They serve the usual Chinese food, like siomai, Hakaw, Pork Buns, and the like.. But they've also got unique dishes I've never heard of or seen anywhere else like their Northern Style Lamb Dumplings, and their Minced Lamb wrapped in Pancake with leeks (this dish was delish!) We ordered a lot of food like the Smoked Duck Breast in Hoisin Wrap! I love duck and this dish is so good and contains a lot of vegetables! Their chicken dishes are also quite known to those who have tried them because of how good they are... I especially LOVE their sweet and sour chicken and their Honey Sesame Crispy chicken too!

Opting for a quick bite, we had pork and chive dumplings which were a tad bit small but big in size. Love the hint of star anise in its filling and black vinegar dipping sauce that came with it (I usually request for black vinegar at other dimsum places). On the other hand, the beef Hofan was pretty good and textbook stir fry- good balance of flavor and textures. Both dishes came too oily but that's synonymous with Chinese comfort food!

The first morning I had silog with tamarind chicken and pork asada, and lots of crispy Danggit! The congee was amazing! U added every topping possible plus fresh calamansi juice! Also had lychee chia pudding one morning and blueberry the next. The lycée was absolutely delicious! We consumed heaps of the most delicious dragon fruit. Now onto the pastries!! One morning they had bread and butter pudding squares and the other morning they had taisan bread. Both were so scrumptious!! Our server Harven was a delight! Friendly, got us warm milk, and answered my 6 million questions! We also took pictures in the back patio that overlooked Laguna de Bay. Beautiful views in every direction. They also had pineapple and mango jam! New jam flavors to me that were delicious on my cream cheese filled French toast. My husband also tries the miso ramen and the fresh salad with a great sesame dressing. In other words, we ate everything, everyone was so friendly and the views are incredible.

While technically indoors, the restaurant opens its large sliding doors in the evening, creating a cool, breezy, open-air feel that makes the space both comfortable and memorable. It's easy to understand why so many couples choose this venue for date nights and proposals. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. Since we came for an early dinner, we mostly ordered appetizers and dishes for sharing. We started with the Seafood Clam Chowder served in a bread bowl. It was decent and comforting, nothing particularly memorable, but certainly not bad. The Sisig Lumpia was unfortunately the weakest dish of the evening. Good sisig should have some crispness and texture, but this version lacked that signature crunch and came across as overly oily. It was the one dish I probably wouldn't order again. On the brighter side, the Pinchos drizzled with balsamic reduction were flavorful and enjoyable. The Beef Nachos were the star of the savory dishes, generously portioned, satisfying, and perfect for sharing. For dessert, we had the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, which was a great way to end the meal and easily one of the highlights of our order. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were attentive, warm, and professional, making sure everything flowed smoothly without being intrusive. While the food this visit was a bit mixed, the stunning views, romantic ambiance, and impeccable service continue to make The Nest a place worth returning to. I've dined here before and remember some of their entrées being much stronger than the appetizers we ordered this time, so I'd happily come back and explore more of the menu. The food may not be flawless, but the experience certainly is. For the view, ambiance, and service alone, The Nest earns a solid 4 out of 5 star
