I received a bill of over $890 and a hospital bill of just under $1K. Since I was on medicare, I thought I would not have been gouged. I tend to be skittish about the seeing the doctor, but the environment here is straightforward and calm. Although I've only visited for acute issues, I think that you can also schedule pre-arranged appointments for more routine procedures like physicals and immunizations.
