I was forced to cancel my service this week. The technician who came out a few days back, damaged several flowering plants in our front yard, while rewinding the hose. He was in a great rush and did not care to untangle the hose from the plants, which he could see. This is the 2nd instance they have caused damaged - couple of years back, they ripped up our vegetable garden in the back. Had called them at that time and pleaded with them to be more careful. Plus they would frequently spray white fertilizer all over our patio, which also I have complained out. I've been a customer for a few years. While my lawn looks somewhat better than before I hired them, it's still far from great. You're basically paying for someone to sprint through your yard with a hose and sprayer attached to a truck, spraying as fast as possible--often missing large areas and failing to apply even coverage. I've spoken with them multiple times, asking them to pay closer attention to weed-prone areas and to spot treat specific sections. Despite these requests, they continue to rush through the job with little to no attention to detail. Very disappointed in King Green over the past few years. The lawncare service person comes out and blindly puts the scheduled treatment down but never examines the yard for current problems. I have had several issues and never has King Green alerted or mentioned them until I bring them to their attention. I have been a customer for 20 years and everyone on my street uses the same other lawn care company and my yard is the worst. I'd be ashamed to put my King Green sign in the yard if I was them. Terrible customer service, Autumn actually hung up on me when I asked for a manager. Weeds are OUT of control!! Trying to set up an appointment to meet with us directly when they come out so we can talk about our issues and they were not able to do that and again hung up on me. We have used King Green since 2019 for our personal lawn care. There were 3 incidents where it was disputed whether the tech serviced our yard. They claimed to have come when we were home to state they did not. They were scheduled last week, no show. Spoke with Chris. said he had been trying to get up the nerve to stop doing business for us because his employee did not like being accused of not showing. Horrible service and horrible treatment. They do not return phone calls and if they do, they give you a false number that does not work. Nobody works in the office except for some dead lady. Used them for 3 years and my lawn just got taken over by weeds. They lie about the applications they charge you for. After repeated complaints about the weeds taking over, I went to Home Depot and bought my own treatment. Weeds started dying with my $20 treatment vs the $83 I was paying them to lie. I have camera footage of them spraying 1 pass and claiming 3 treatments. Do not use them as they are dishonest and do not deliver what they charge for. read more

King Green has serviced my lawn for the last 2-3 years. Previously I had another company with a similar name. Not only did they not do a very good job on my yard the personnel the had was always changing and did not seem to know much about lawn maintenance. Big difference with King Green. Started out great, then not so much. The first year I was really impressed with how much better the lawn started to look. The second year, it didn't really green up all the way. I asked about that and was told to just wait until later in the season and it would green up. It didn't. Then it was given a fungicide treatment which didn't seem to do anything. Then last fall I got the lawn aerated which I thought would set things up well for this growing season. However, this year it looks awful. There are huge patches of dead grass. It's the worst lawn on the block. I made my concerns known several times, and was told three times a manager would get in touch with me. They never did. I feel like I wasted hundreds of dollars. I am canceling my service with King Green effective immediately . It seems that they are so disorganized and the service is the worsted I have experienced with a lawn company ( didn't do what they promised) . The application on Feb 6 was totally wrong and was not what we discussed on numerous occasions. The manager Joe in Greenville SC told me that he would send someone out to redo the service on Wednesday in the afternoon. They never showed up or notified me that they were not coming. We had there service for 3 years and there was no improvement to our lawn. We had several issues with this company and basically just gave them money for nothing. I left a review on Google to which they posted a reply to seem as if they wanted to make things right. I gave them the info they asked for and got no further response. The first time this company came to treat our yard, the tech took less than 3 minutes treating both our front and back yard. Not only do we have a large yard, knowing that it wouldn't be possible for her to do a thorough job in that amount of time, we also have video footage of her barely covering our property. The most egregious error, however, is the fact that she left our gate wide open, knowing that we have dogs, resulting in our 2 dogs getting out and us nearly losing them. I immediately called the company after retrieving both my dogs to complain. The receptionist assured me that not only would she speak to the tech, she would also make the manager aware of this occurrence, and assured me that it would not happen again. This brings us to yesterday. The SAME tech (female, "A. Silverman") came, sat in the truck for almost 2 minutes, and proceeded to repeat the exact same unacceptable behavior, including doing a shoddy, rushed job at applying the product to our yard in under 3 minutes, missing much of it, and again, leaving our gate wide open. Fortunately we knew to check the gate this time before our dogs got out. She can also be heard on a personal phone call for the entirety of her time in our yard. All of this is on video. I called them again and immediately terminated their services and have requested a refund of the money we paid, which we have YET TO RECEIVE. They clearly have no capacity for ensuring quality control. That tech should be fired. They are very fortunate nothing happened to our dogs or we would be pursuing aggressive legal action Also, our yard looks worse than it EVER has in the 5 years we've lived here. read more

Darius applied mosquito spray to my property recently, and I was very impressed with his attention to detail and his super customer service attitude. He was very careful to attack all potential mosquito breeding places while also being very attentive to what and where he was spraying. This is my third month enrolled in the particular King Green service, and I would highly recommend it to anyone fighting mosquitoes. I have not seen one mosquito, and I live in a heavily wooded area. We corresponded via email and she, with my approval connected me to Derriff, Manager. Derriff and I were able to speak and he came back out to treat my lawn. I called up King Green and asked the sales rep several questions before going with King Green. Those questions were: Q. Can I just have weed control in my yard? A. Yes Q. I have a really bad case of chamber bitter, do the treatments get rid of that? A. Yes, I will mark that down on your account and make sure they take care of it. Q. Are flower beds included in the treatment? A. Absolutely we take care of everything. Q. What is the cost? A. $50 per treatment Commence King Green Service because I was sick of doing my own spraying and had given up on managing the chamber bitter. First problem, weeds in the flower beds. Call them up, "did you treat the flower beds?". Customer service rep, "No sir, that is not part of your service, that is an additional fee." OK well that isn't what I was told by the sales guy. Second problem, chamber bitter. Service tech happens to call me right after I notice it and I ask him if he put down pre-emergent for it and if he could do a post emergent treatment. "No we don't treat for chamber bitter with our regular application, that is an additional $179.00 for that application because it is a different product" he says. OK, I already know they use Prodiamine, retail name barricade, for pre-emergent so I get online and find out the other product is called Gallery (Isoxaben) for chamber bitter control. That combined with a little katana for Poa Annua and Anime 2-4D for post emergent control and it looks like I am doing my own lawn again. Generally speaking, no problems. However, this season, I was not contacted as to whether I wanted aeration. It was done without my approval; although I did want it. Just hadn't had to opportunity to say 'yes' & when it may be done. The only way I knew was that I was billed before i was told it had just been completed minutes before my call. THEN, our neighbor came over to say they cut a (near surface) wire that is a perimeter marking for his robo mower. Called King Green and they are sending someone out to repair it. DO NOT USE KING GREEN. I hired them primarily for weed control. All they did was lightly fertilizer and grow weeds in my yard. Every winter I would complain: every winter my weed problem multiplied. I asked for a supervisor to inspect my yard; never got a response. After I pulled the weeds and sprayed my yard, apparently they came by and saw no problems (with my work). Again this year they fertilized a business near our house. Fertilizer on the whole sidewalk into the street which is a main road (Jefferson-Saint Clair Shores). Fertilizer On the whole driveway next to the business. We called last year and no one came out to blow the fertilizer back onto the grass. We are a lakeside community and all of our drains in the street go right into the lake. Would not recommend to anyone to use as they could care less! We do not want this fertilizer to go into our lake, on our shoes, on our dogs paws. Again they do not care. I again would not recommend. Same problem last year. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We are highly disappointed and dissatisfied. We have used king green for a few years for our yard fertilizer, weed control with minimal changes in our yard. We added tree and shrub maintenance about 6 months ago at the suggestion of an arborist they sent out to inspect lawns. They have only treated our trees and scrubs maybe 2-3 times and after this last "treatment" 75% of all our scrubs are dead. We had to cut back over 50% of each scrub to possibly prevent the scrub from completely dying. The most frustrating issue is we have called King Green FOUR different times to request a manager come view the state of our yard and refund the service. We were told they would inform a manager/supervisor and they would be in contact (NO ONE EVER CALLED) then another time we were told a manage would be out immediately and no one ever showed up. I hired King Green because my neighbor was using them. I noticed 4 days after the initial treatment that no weeds had died. I was not at the property when the so-call initial treatment was applied. On Friday July 09, 2021 I received a text message from King Green stating they were going to treat my lawn on Monday July 12, 2021. They never came, we were home all day. We have driveway alarms, security cameras, and access to the back lawn was locked. However, at 11:14 AM on Monday July 12, 2021 I did receive an email bill from King Green. I fired them on July 13 because they tried to rip me off. At that time I also demanded my initial treatment payment of $25.00 be returned, but it never was. read more
