Several days ago I found myself in need of an expert arborist. With no frame of reference, I took to the internet. I called several companies with very impressive websites only to be told that they did not service my area or that their fees were out of my price range. Feeling dejected, frustrated, and exhausted I paused and prayed for guidance as I continued my search. Soon after I was directed to 72 Tree where a gentleman who identified himself as "JD" responded to my call. I explained to him my needs and embraced myself for another rejection. Instead, he patiently listened to me through my already built up frustation and assured me that 72 Tree would work with my budget and travel to my destination. Not only did he travel 40 miles from his location in Alpharetta to my address in College Park, he arrived punctually and at his pre-designated appointment time. Like a great artist, he carefully and assiduously conducted a land analysis of the area surrounding the tree in question. During his visual inspection, he discovered that my problem area was the potential result of an ongoing drainage issue that also involved my neighbor's property. To my amazement, he took the time to talk with my neighbor and offered to share his professional advise and recommendations at no charge! Best case scenario for a worst case situation. I woke up to a tree that had fallen on my home on a Sunday morning on New Year's eve. I called several places with no one answering. When I reached out to J.D (at 8:30 in the morning) he listened as I explained my predicament and said he could come take a look. Bless him as he was with his family 60 miles away for the holiday, and showed up in about an hour. I was overwhelmed with this, but he took the time to walk me through and explain what we were looking at, helped me by speaking to the insurance and assuring me that this would be fixed today. Shortly after that he mobilized his people who came out and removed this giant tree that had crashed into my home. The gentlemen that showed up were all kind and professional. They were friendly and understanding (I felt bad that they were also pulled away from their families to help, but their great attitude about it eased my heart) They worked hard and cleaned up and it was as if they weren't even here. J.D helped me get the roofers out and followed up with me to make sure I had what I needed. Did i mention that it's Sunday and New Year's eve?! I'm a first time home owner and a single mom with no family nearby to help and all this was very stressful but once he took over I had no worries. After the last snow storm, we have many trees come down in the back of our business. They fell onto the 6 ft chain link fence that runs along the entire length of our property and destroyed it. Even though he was slammed with calls, JD came right out and gave me an estimate. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable, showing me which trees were dangerous and which ones were not likely to cause anymore harm. He dealt with my adjuster directly, which made the process so much easier for me. He came out within 2 days of the initial visit and took care of all the downed and broken trees. He even took care of a very large dead pine tree that another company couldn't get. He left the area spotless. Every bit of debris was removed when he was done. He had his crews remove some of the tree limbs by hand instead of using his equipment because he knew it would ruin the grounds . He also had his crew fix some big problems that another tree company had left behind last year. He was so professional and just did the job right. I felt so fortunate that he was the one who did our work because he went above and beyond, doing it right. He made the repair process as painless as possible for us, by talking us through every part of it and letting us know exactly what to expect. We were up and running in a much shorter time then I ever expected, and you can't even tell there were any trees down at all! I wanted to share my feedback on JD and his team, with 72 Tree, Seed & Land Co. I had a few different quotes on removing a large number of trees from my property. After meeting with JD, I instantly knew he and his crew had the job! JD is straight forward and very clear on what can, and needs to be done. He knows his business, and he's very good at explaining, in detail everything. He listened to what I wanted, and future plans with the property. Additionally, JD is a certified Arborist, and he knows exactly what needs to be done to get the appropriate permits required. I live in the city of Milton, so if you live in this area, you know what I mean. They can be very particular. What can I say, who comes out at 2:30 on a Sunday morning to save your house in the middle of a pandemic! They deserve more than 5 stars. This is my story: a tree came down after a bad storm on June 27th, if that was not bad enough it hit a second tree that was hanging over my house; the fire department would not let us come back in the house saying it would slice our house in two and could all likely kill us. This company had a human being that actually answered the phone late on a Saturday night. They agreed to come out in several hours to try to take the tree down before it destroyed our house. They did what they said they would do and came out at 2:30 AM Sunday morning to remove this second tree just as it was about to fall. I am impressed with their safety record and history of their company. They removed both trees and the debris and even filled in a few ruts in our yard caused by the machines. They saved our little artifacts on the front porch and bird feeders and put them to the side, along with house damage debris. I can not thank JD and his son Matt and his crew enough for what they did for two seniors in an emergency with no place to go if they lost their house, especially in a pandemic. My neighbor neglected the 200+ year old oak in his back yard for a number of years. Alas, all that came back when the tree began splitting apart with one section nearly hitting his house. The remainder of the tree was leaning precariously with my and another neighbor's homes in danger of a direct hit. JD and his crew brought in a crane and were able to remove this massive tree in sections without harming either house. The crew worked tirelessly to remove the enormous amount of wood that was created as the result of their efforts. Oddly enough, three houses up the street is another one of JD's clients. The lady who owns a home with an oak of similar age as the one that threatened my home has employed JD to maintain and keep up her tree. JD has pruned dead branches or ones that threatened to put too much stress on the tree's structure. I have worked with several tree/arborist companies in the past and without a doubt, JD is hands down the best tree expert I have ever worked with. I have around 40 gorgeous Oak and other big trees on my property and JD and I inspected every one of them together. He knew exactly what he was doing and made some excellent recommendations, both short and long term. I bought a house that had not been maintained for 15 years. The trees and shrubs were so overgrown I didn't know where to start. I spoke with 8 different tree companies and settled on Bam-Tree because they worked with me to develop a plan. Not every tree had to be cut this year. Some were trimmed, some were put off for a few years and some were taken down because they had cankers, posed a potential danger to the house or were a nuisance (pine cones and needles in the gutters and on the deck, branches falling on the deck, branches were bridges for critters to come into the house, sap or berries damaging the car paint...). Fearing the strong winds associated with the remnants of Hurricane Irma as it passed through GA, my mom made an emergency call to 72 Tree midday Saturday, September 9th, to have several pine trees cut before the storm arrived. JD and his crew came to our rescue! They cut 4 huge trees (2 dead and 2 live) that afternoon. These trees were a high risk for falling on the house! I am so grateful for JD and 72 Tree!!! A tree limb came down early this morning and woke me up out of a sound sleep. Needless to say, I was terrified. What a blessing the limb did not come through the Master Bedroom and caused me harm. I went to Facebook and typed in "tree service", and JD's business came up. JD was the only person that called me back after reaching out for an estimate. All others wanted me to wait 4 to 5 days before sending some one out to see my situation. We had a very large sweet gum tree that was hit by lightning in the recent storms. The tree was obviously not going to survive the strike and a good wind could have potentially knocked it onto the roof of my neighbors house. We originally found 72 Tree via yelp and after reading through the reviews, we called JD. We hired JD and his crew to clear some shrubs and tress to give clearance to painters for painting. The estimate was reasonable, service was great, and most of all, our yard looks manicured and not hacked like what typical landscape companies would do. I contacted 72 Tree for an inspection of one of the trees on my property that I had concerns about. I was impressed that they sent out a Certified Arborist the next day. JD reviewed my tree, let me know its health, next steps, and things to be aware of.
