I made a purchase during NFR in Las Vegas on Dec 14, 2023. They did not come through with the order of a men's logo shirt. I have corresponded by email (12 attempts every two weeks with replies from them of a resolution) and four phone calls only to be ghosted every time! At this point even a refund is all I want because I'll be damned if I support their products. They simply do NOT care! Zero absolutely no regard for basic customer service! Yeehaw, Buckaroos! The King Ranch is HUGE. It's bigger than several New England states thrown together. Really, really big. So the King Ranch needs saddles for all those horses they have, but they also sell everything made out of leather you can think of. They'll sell you boots, gun cases, hats, place mats, belts- all made out of leather. It all has the King Ranch emblem on it- it looks like a snake. You've seen the show Yellowstone, and their logo/brand? Same thing- this is a huge piece of land. The work and craftsmanship on the leather is always the best. The shop is pretty famous across Texas as being one of the most premier places to purchase leather goods. The staff was aloof and pleasant. They didn't ask us how our leather needs could be better met. They have some non-leather goods, clothing and souvenirs, like books and postcards and such. Parking is easy- it's in the main square in town. read more

I order a belt from my boyfriend from them 12/20/2022. It's been a year since he had this belt and the screw fall out and the belt keeper is ripping apart. I asked to see if there anything to do since there was a warranty but apparently it "only for their products" expect I bought this belt from this. They told me another manufacturer made it and they sell it but the warrant doesn't cover it since it not there their product even thought I bought it from them. They are a big let down. Such a gem out in Kingsville! A friend owns a King Ranch so naturally wanted to check out this shop and see what other accessories they make/offer. They have apparel, house goods, blankets, leather goods, luggage and even a saddle making station. Craftsmanship at its finest!! The prices range but a little more on the high end due to their quality. I would highly recommend checking out this place. As a life long Texan it hurts my soul to have had this experience. I have been wanting a pair of King Ranch boots for along time. I finally had the opportunity to spend my hard earned money $594.29. So I ordered the brown Sorrel boots. What arrived in the mail was not the color I ordered and boots were the worst quality I have ever seen. This is King ranch, there must just be a mistake. So..When I called I was asked to send pics. I did and received a email back stating that it is the color and that the boots are fine "calling me a liar with out calling me a liar. They never offered to exchange them. Said I could send back for a refund so I did cost me $37 to FedEx them. They don't pay for shipping on returns even when it's on them!! Boots arrived back at their store and it took five days to get a refund. But wait they took out the cost of shipping from my order wtf! I've made many online purchases from King Ranch Saddle Shop where I've been been pleased with my purchases. That is...until now. If I could give a -10 rating, I would! I purchased a ladies tri-fold wallet that was on sale. I returned the wallet to KR requesting a refund & let them know the wallet is inferior as credit cards/DL will not slip into the provided slots...all slots are too narrow. KR wouldn't refund my $$ because it was a sale item...even though the wallet was totally worthless. After 3 weeks of follow up phone calls...since no one would EVER call me back...I received a $60-something gift card delivered to my home via FedEx. Really?!! We had to stop at the King Ranch Saddle Shop while we were traveling through Kingsville on one of our trips around Texas. I can't say a lot about it other than they have a lot of nice leather goods and still make saddles here for the ranch. They have all kinds of western themed stuff from leather to blankets, shirts, jewelry, souvenir's, etc... I did look at a small leather shaving kit with the King Ranch running "W" logo on it. I thought it would have maybe been $35-40 dollars turned out to be a $135 dollar item which I promptly set back down!!! My wife was going you get a coffee cup but she was hit with the same surprise! It was way over priced!!! I did wind up buying a new hat band and a King Ranch logo cap which was a price more in line with what I'm used to payingfor a cap at $25!!! All I can say is that they do have nice things, but they have a nice price to go with them on a majority of it. My mom got me a cute lil monogrammed purse from here when we lived in Kingsville way back when. Located in a historical building in downtown, they're still selling the same types of purses...and then some: Hoardes of leather goods to include furniture, home decor, along with cowboy/girl apparel. Expect to pay a premium for many of their leather items. Aside from the standoffish staff, there were just way too many animal heads hanging around for me to feel comfortable. And the water fountain in the back oozed H2O that tasted just as stale as it did over 20 years ago. read more

CITY CENTRE ONLY: I would like to preface this by saying, that this is only a review directed at the King Ranch Saddle Shop in City Centre in Houston, TX. I am not one to write yelp reviews however I would like to point out what occurred today while my mother, younger sister and I were out Christmas shopping. - there were three employees, the only one that was slightly helpful or kind was Kyle. My mother was spending and purchasing several items, and we had been shopping for about 15 minutes. The woman that was working, continue to mock my mother and my sister and I as we would pick up items and look at them, I even tried on a hat and she proceeded to laugh at me and let me know it was backwards, while I played this off like a joke, it only got worse from there. My mother had checked out, and on our way out we saw a shirts that she wanted to get for a grandparent, and they proceeded to mock us and laugh at us for finding things on the way out. My mother was so embarrassed at the way they spoke to us she sent me in individually. When I went in to purchase the shirt Kyle, apologized for his coworker and the way that she spoke to me, specifically regarding her hat comment. I assured him it was no big deal, and as I was leaving the store with our third purchase, the woman in the back began to cackle and mock me again for coming back. Normally I don't write reviews but this was downright rude, disrespectful and very confusing for such a wonderful establishment. We are avid King Ranch shoppers and love the customer service the majority of the time. I ordered from the online shop beginning of December and after a week of no communication, I contacted customer service about the status of my order. They informed me that it was now on back order and wouldn't arrive before Christmas. I emailed them back to find out when the item would be available and no one bothered to answer me. I finally called them to find out that it would not be available until March. They didn't seem to care that although an item showed in stock and ready to ship on the website, it would not be available until March. They don't bother to inform their customers when items are back ordered as my mother had the same issue with their online store last year. I will not shop with them again. read more

My husband loved the catalog that came in the mail from King Ranch Saddle shop. I was so grateful even though I had never heard of them, because I knew what to get him for Christmas and his birthday which is December 28th. I ordered everything on December 8th, received a confirmation email and then never heard back from them again. I emailed on December 20th to check on things, no response. I called and learned one of the three items I ordered was on backorder, so I canceled that item and they said they others when out today. so they may not get there in time, but it was coming. As of January 6th, still nothing, I emailed, no response, I called on January 9th, they said they would call me back, they did not, I called again today the 10th- to only find out nothing had ever been shipped and everything was on backorder. So it is disappointing enough to not have anything for your husbands birthday or Christmas, but on top of it to be lied too, and have horrible service, this place is really terrible. read more

The name King Ranch automatically ups the price of any time purchased. This goes double if you actually buy it at the King Ranch Saddle Shop. So, why the generous ranking? Well, there just is no substitution for it. Nothing else inspires the awe and wonderment of a rancher or hunter in Texas like the name King Ranch. That being said, why else should you go? Ahh, let me explain. They have clothes. Cute clothes even. Sure, they're country. And they're stereotypical. But they're actually cute. They make me wanna buy some cowboy boots of my own and wrap a handkerchief around my throat. In a cute way. They have furniture. Overpriced and completely not my style, but interesting to look at anyway. My first time sitting on a couch made of cow hair was quite the experience, let me tell you. They have cute knickknacks that are actually affordable. My last trip included a drain plug for the sink in the shape of the star of Texas. Cheesy? Absolutely. But I loved it. So I bought two. They have steak rubs and sauces! We usually stock up about twice a year. It may not be the best rub, but we can just leave it out so our guests think we're extra cool. And maybe we can convince them that the deer meat that we're eating was actually shot on King Ranch. Just maybe. They have a decent selection of pocketknives. My hubby loves to collect pocketknives and even though they're completely overpriced, I tend to let him splurge once in a while. There are other goodies to be found at the store and there's plenty to look at and kill an hour or so. We stop in pretty often to see what's new, but it is a bit out of the way unless you just love Kingsville. It is a fun, touristy kinda place that I can't wait to take my (non-hunting) parents to. read more

Western stuff isn't my thing, at all, but I love this store. It's filled with so many cool things, home decor, clothes, shoes, bags, furniture, and jewelry. I'm sure there's more I've forgotten to mention. I would never decorate my house solely with things from the Saddle Shop (aside from it being prohibitively expensive) but it's a great place to find one of a kind items to give your look, at home, in attire, or anywhere else, a bit of flair. Just don't leave with an animal head. That might be too much. I was here in August of 2008 and don't remember if the staff was standoffish. This was a horrible experience for my children and me. When my father was alive he loved wearing King Ranch caps but I never understood why so I decided to make a day of it and visit the ranch and museum. Those two places were good but when we went to the saddle shop we had an employee male following us trying to rush us out the door as if we were going to steal something. He kept asking us if we were ready to go and if we picked up anything he would try to get us to give it to him so he could hold it for us till we were ready to pay. I finally got tired of it and yelled at him loudly and told him, "We're not going to steal nothing, I have money. " I have never felt so discriminated against in a store until that day. Maybe it was because we werent all dressed up, we were wearing athletic wear shorts and t-shirts because the day was so hot and we had been at the ranch touring before, but it was uncalled for for him to treat us like that. My husband bought me a beautiful leather purse for my birthday....the floor display had an additional shoulder strap inside that matched the purse but when we got home with my purse, it was not in the bag. I called this morning to see if they would mail the strap and was informed it did not come with the purse. Almost a $400 purchase and you won't include the shoulder strap? SMH.... read more

Terrible product and customer service!! I purchased a pair of boots and in less than three months they started cracking. When I called to report the issue they told me I needed to send pictures. I sent pictures and in another four weeks they decided to respond to my request only to tell me to mail the boots back to them. When I received confirmation that they had received them, I called. They told me they hadn't come in yet and when I told them I had confirmation they said they would look. I had to call back the next day and they told me that the product was cracking and it was not my fault, but they refused to refund my money. I would not order any products from King Ranch website as I had a horrible experience. I ordered a Christmas gift for a friend out of state. It was a men's horsehair watch. After 2 months, the watch broke, and I called customer service. They initially wanted me to send it back, but when I explained that it was a gift that I did not have access to, they agreed to have me send photos of the defect instead. When I never received the replacement, I called back, and they changed their story. Now, they insisted that they get the defect product back; I had to get the watch back from my friend and ship to them. As I had moved in the interim, I provided and confirmed my new shipping address twice with them. Sure enough, I tracked the package on UPS, and it was delivered to the prior address. I had to contact UPS and get it corrected in order to finally receive it. Their customer service is a joke - stay away. There are plenty of quality, western stores and websites to do business with other than King Ranch. read more

I ordered a quilt jacket online which now, after only a few wearings, has elbow patches that are coming off the coat. After over a week of trying to get customer service to reply to my emails, they told me that their vendor has discontinued the item and will not be able to repair. I completely understand the 60 day no return policy, but to not offer a repair or replacement of an obviously defective piece is extremely disappointing. The 10% off another jacket they offered is a joke. They should take cues from companies like Patagonia and REI who offer no questions asked refunds/repairs on any of their merchandise at any time- and perhaps consider getting quality vendors who actually manufacture their items in the United States. read more

This is literally the worst experience we've ever had. First, they sent us a purse that looked like plastic and was so stiff and not of the "King Ranch Quality" that they're supposed to be known for. They also sent us a leather wallet that was shredded on the inside completely, and a shooting vest that was also broken. Not sure what the "King Ranch Quality" is, but if it's that, I certainly do not want it. We sent it back to them after much difficulty, and they lost half of the order. First it was the purse and the order form for it. Then today, they told us they lost the other half of the order and have no idea what happened to it. It's. the most unorganized, unprofessional, overpriced, cheaply made merchandise I've ever come across. Their employees clearly do not care about what happens. It's the WORST customer service we've ever experienced and we will not be buying anything from them ever again. So sad that a brand that used to be known for its quality has gone this far down hill. While I'm sure shopping in the store you may have a better experience, but a friend of mine ordered Christmas presents online two weeks before Christmas. Packages never arrived. A week after, went to speak with someone about the orders and while they found his order in their database, they "forgot" to put a tracking number on the order. The manager said she would call the shipping company on Monday and call back with information, Monday came and no call. 4 days after the New Year, still doesn't have his Christmas presents and nobody in the business can give any answers. I placed two different orders with King Ranch Saddle Shop. Both experiences were awful. My first order was to contain two hats, canvas cleaner and a Christmas Nutcracker. When my package came there was only one hat and the cleaner. When I called to ask where everything else was I was told that the Nutcracker was no longer in stock for the season but my other hat was on it was to ship the day I called. Then I called to place my second order to make sure it would be here in time for Christmas. When they told me yes, I placed my order. I then called because I received no email stating that my item was in fact shipped and what the estimated delivery date would be. When I called a second time, I spoke to a woman who was extremely rude. I asked her about my previous order of the hat and she said that it was out of stock and I wouldnt be receiving it. I told her that I was already told it was shipped the last time I called. She then explained that someone had called my number to tell me that both items were out of stock but that my phone was disconnected . This is a complete lie. I have had the same number for 10 years and never had it disconnected, and never received any phone calls from them. Then when I asked when my other package would be here, she said it would be at my house the same night I was on the phone with her. I have still yet to receive that package. I will never order from this company again, especially since they have such high prices. The only thing I was happy about was that the things I ordered were American made and it goes with my fiances truck, however it does not make me want to order them again with the awful experience I had. read more

One FINALLY arrived after many calls to employees giving the impression they could not care less, I explained they had sent a totally different item, unrelated to what ordered. I kept calling asking for what I had ordered --- "It has been shipped", "but it was the wrong item" I repeatedly told employee after employee. Finally talked to Laura ("Supervisor"), "Send back the item we shipped and we'll ship your items (which they kept saying had been shipped). "That's our policy!" She said. She was told the expensive wrong item would be sent back immediately after the right items were received. Finally received our orders only after regretfully have to be harsh. I have been a loyal repeat customer of the King Ranch Saddle shop for a decade or more. To put it bluntly my husband and I have spent a lot of money there over the years for saddles and presents for each other and family members. No more! I ordered the delicious pecans that they sell in the fall. I ordered two, 2 lb. tubs. One of the tubs had rancid, old, bitter tasting pecans. (last years', perhaps?) I called the saddle shop and they told me to return the item. I spent nearly $14.00 and returned them. The saddle shop replaced the pecans (sent me the wrong flavor), and did not refund my return shipping. Not a good deal. They should have just refunded me for the bad bunch, or sent me a replacement. Did they think I was lying? Did they need to taste the pecans? I called them, thinking it was an oversight. Nope, I am out the return shipping. Not good customer service. Texas would not be proud of them, and I'm sure the founders of the King Ranch wouldn't be either. read more

I have purchased a few things online such as a watch for my girlftiend (they sent the wrong one), King ranch shirts(they sent the wrong sizes), more recently a $220.00 pair of Work boots this time they sent a size 11D in a Size 10D box I didnt think to look in the boot itself because they were real tight at first, I wore them a few times before realizing they were size 11 D and I wear 10D I called the King Ranch Saddle shop and they told me they would not take them back because I wore them.
