Then I went to the Verizon store in new Braunfels in the Creekside shopping area and all they were were a bunch of worthless people that just gave excuses and no solutions. I've been a Verizon customer for 25 years and I was ready to go to Cricket. I walked into this place and a young lady by the name of Domonique was there to wait on me. She gave me outstanding service without all the stupid bullshit. She pulled up my information on the computer and saw all the service problems I've had from on the phone and she stepped up and took control, and I walked out of there with the phone without any headaches or hassles or extra cost. She restored my faith in Verizon and made sure I did not leave that store till all my phone needs were taken care of. She gave something that people have gotten away from in business and that is good service. I live in Canyon Lake, Texas, but I would be willing to come back all the way and drive to Portland Texas to deal with this young lady if I have any Verizon needs again. I tried to get help with the issue and hit every road block along the way. iPad "tech" doesn't speak good English and uses his phone to translate. Had to call manager on his cell so I could communicate what the problem was. He told me to let him send it off to another store, who knows where, so they can maybe fix the issue. Deal breaker for me. I wanted it to either be calibrated in store to get it working or my money back with the old screen put back on. This is where it got ugly. He said he would not give me a full refund as he doesn't "do refunds". Kept telling me to look at the paper in front of me that has their policy on it. Yes it says no refunds, but also says they guarantee touch issues a few lines down. He says the touch is working, I disagreed. If it's not 100%, it's NOT working. I didn't pay for a 1/2a$$ job. He got ugly and told me to take it somewhere else for repair, that he would not give me a full refund. I said I would be disputing the charge with our bank for theft of service if he wouldn't give me money back and put my old screen back on. He didn't seem to care. When I asked what I needed to do, he walked back into the store without a word. After cleaning the corrosion, I again asked how to prevent the issue from happening in the future. His response was sarcastic: "try checking it once in a while," followed by, "I'm embarrassed for you." While he addressed the immediate problem, his attitude was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome, as though I was a nuisance for asking questions. Basic courtesy and respect were completely lacking. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location.
