He also allowed us to see every invoice, so we knew what exactly we were paying for. In fact, he stayed within our estimated budget. When we were initially getting bids, other contractors came up with estimates as much as 30% higher than Dave. Literally, the project went just about perfectly, and Dave made a lot of good suggestions and had lots of good ideas. There is only one lightswitch design in our bathroom that I would change, that is it. Everyday when I pull up in our driveway, I think to myself, "I can't believe I get to live here." Dave at Imperial Home Improvement is an honest, hardworking, dependable and affordable contractor I would recommed to anyone, regardless of the size of project.

We interviewed several contractors for our remodel of a 1960's kitchen, master bedroom & bath, and main bath, and Dave was the only contractor who looked at the spaces for what they COULD be rather than what they were. It is nerve wracking putting your home in the hands of a stranger, but Dave became anything but a stranger during the process. We texted & emailed & called almost daily, if not more frequently, and I can't say enough about his ability to steer us to make decisions that guided us to spend money where we needed to and skip things that would be a headache in the future. He is one of the most detailed individuals I have ever met, and he caught things I know my husband would have noticed in a couple years and fixed them before we knew about it. We ended up with an amazing kitchen, main bath, and new master suite, with a walk-in closet (that we never imagined!) and amazing bath. All of Dave's subcontractors were professionals and took care of any follow up issues without complaint. As Katie said, you know everything you're going to spend, you see the invoices, and you acknowledge, via email or text or in person purchase, any of your upgrades - we knew what we were spending the entire way. We landed within 2 weeks of our original end date, and some of that was our fault for adding a fireplace into the mix late. We are planning on using Dave / IHI again for a half bath remodel with zero hesitation and I would recommend him to anyone. Customer service-As an example this purchase is going to be picked up by our movers and transported to our new house out of state. Eric complete understands this process and was ready to help and ensure everything worked out smoothly. Another example since we are trying to match colors. Eric said bring in a drawer or shelf from your old furniture so we can 100% match things. 2. Selection-If you like mission style furniture this is the place. Huge selection and huge number of stains. 3. Quality-It is unsurpassed. No ifs ands or buts. 4. Sustainable-They have their own tree farm and provide wood to the craftsmen. 5. Price-We looked at buying similar furniture where we were moving. The cost was 2.5 times more. Even with moving it was a no brainer. Whether you are in state or out of state this is the place to go. When I called the number provided, it was clear that this number was a cell phone, which again, is fine but the individual answered with a "hello?!". I was worried I had called the wrong number so I explained the above connection and then I received a pause. I waited it out and he finally said "WELL I haven't received anything!" I mentioned the provider sent the claim this morning and asked if a claim number would help. He gruffly replied that "NO, it wouldn't." Regardless of a service provider not being sent the appropriate information, my expectation is that the interaction is still positive. So that when the plumbing/HVAC/etc company gets the information, I feel comfortable having them in my home. I then had to follow up and request next steps from him instead of giving me, the customer, some sort of summary. Oftentimes when you reach out to a plumbing organization, it is because of a 911 or stressful need. I can't imagine dealing with this gentleman in one of those scenarios. Will NOT be using.

We had new countertops installed and we needed our sink removed, we called Boevaag and…read moreunfortunately, they were no available for sink disconnect for it was not an emergency, which we were fine with. We had to contact Hero Plumbing for the disconnect (ugh), and they came out to disconnect and we paid way too much. Hero came out the following day to do the reconnect and gave us the estimate of 2700.00, (no joke) which includes their garbage disposal. I declined and sent Hero on their way to fly and hose someone else. I called Boevaag to see if they had any cancelations, and Joe said, 'ya know what, we can come out tomorrow." Which was great, we bought a new garbage disposal and Boevaag came out as promised and reconnected our new sink for $235.00. Never a need to go to the big guys, stay local and they were fantastic!

Our project was multi-faceted, with some unusual requests. Of course we had the normal "update the cabinets" piece (Re-door, paint) , but we also had a large solid maple built-in outdated entertainment wall that we wanted modified and painted, plus a two-tiered island we wanted made into one-tier.. We also wanted to add several cabinets to extend from the kitchen into the dining space along the wall. We received the three bids and Kitchen Tune-up of Eden Prairie was the one that most impressed us. Not only was their price very reasonable, but they were incredibly helpful and flexible. There wasn't any request we had that they couldn't fulfill. Angela and Annette (one of the owners) came for the initial consultation. They offered ideas, listened to ours, and made some preliminary measurements and gave us their tile and countertop suppliers' information. A few days later, they sent us their quote and it was very reasonable and included everything we wanted! A few days later, Angela and Annette came to do the measurements. While here, they offered some advice on our initial decisions and we updated our design. While here, they asked us why we chose them. Our response? Their flexibility, ability to accommodate our varied requests, the fact that the owner found us important enough to come, the energy they brought to the job, and their personalized attention to us. We felt from the first meeting that we were more than just another customer. Our remodel began on Labor Day, 2022! Over the next few weeks, Annette, Tim and their team worked tirelessly to transform our 1999 space into a beautiful, updated NEW SPACE! We LOVE IT!
