Saved my ass! Tire…read morewas going down coming out of Lamesa..on my way to Lubbock. I pulled into stripes for air...weak ass machine. There wasnt enough pressure to inflate...lost 2 pounds in the confusion, not to mention a dollar in qtrs. So on to Allsups...the guy says "the last guy who used it said it didnt work". Gee thanks ...at least i save some qtrs. I go outside in cold ass weather...Feb 2nd to be exact...and i change to the back up tire. Well as the Gods would have it the s.o.b was low on pressure.....now im really worried. All i need is air...so plentful...but for some reason in this little town there isnt $hit to prop up my damn tire. I just need 15 pounds to get me to the hub! Im starting to panic as i have an hour to get to Lubbock for work. "Hernandez can probably help you..." as i go back in to ask...in almost desperation. "All i need is air at this point, just enough to get to Lubbock". After getting some directions i find the place across the bridge. Its on a gravel road (i was told it was a dirt road but these are small details). I found the place and the lil old man... I got a good feeling....the Almighty sent me to this man who will save my ass. I briefly explained that i had a leak near the stem...it some wire no thicker than a paper clip but hard and sharp as hell. It had lodged its way just wear the tire curves from the wall to the tread. The leak was slow but i kept feeling the pull on my car get worse and worse. "Ah yeah...no problem..." "Will i need another tire?" "Nah...its small enough..." The overly confident response i got settled my nerves... The place was cold...but he had a cool lil jet heater. Probably not a jet heater...but i had nver seem what this guy had. About 25 min later...and the ol timer doing his work....it was done. Only $10 to boot! I was Soooooo appreciative....i gave him that and besides. Easy....i thank the Almighty for what he did. It was nothing and very insignificant to him....but it literally made my trip and saved numerous headaches untold. Thank you....this short narrative is deserving for Mr Hernandez who helped me. Again...things like this come from no where...but having a place/a man like this is everything.

I called the shop and they told me to bring it in to check the codes. I went by auto zone on the way and it threw 9 different codes..brought it into Don's and it threw the same code, but they insisted there was nothing wrong with it/that they didn't do anything wrong. The check engine light came back on again today and they're still insisting they had nothing to do with it. Definitely not a coincidence that my check engine light just came on after it spent two hours in their shop and hasn't had this problem ever.
