As a rule the staff are friendly and the food that we have had has been very good and served to us with minimal waiting time.
It's a treat to eat there, as we have been doing for the last four years.
The only concern that I'd have is that both my wife and are are physically disabled and we went in on a busy day.
The tables were all occupied bar one and the gentleman in front of us was going to claim it.
Knowing that tables were free up stairs we politely asked would it be possible for us to have the table downstairs and he the one upstairs.
We both had walkers with us so it was clear that tackling the stairs would have been very difficult.
The owner of the shop came from behind the counter and told us that the gentleman was a regular and always sat down stairs and if we wanted to eat there we would have to struggle up stairs with walkers, which for us would be an impossibility.
So...Good food, good service with regard to said food but abysmal when dealing with the disabled.
Shame, it really is, on that basis she's lost our custom. read more
