It was a perfect experience until I had to deal with one of the service people at the Kiosk so I could go bowling. She was a blonde girl with an American accent. All was fine except she managed to screw up my name, despite my neat handwriting. An embarrassing variant of my name was displayed at the bowling lane. Not a big issue I thought to myself, as I thought I'd just return to correct it. Despite speaking in a clear voice, she still managed to screw it up for a second time. It's a common name as well, and I have perfect enunciation and articulation which makes it all the more cringey. This repeated until I finally dealt with a guy who got it correct immediately. It makes me wonder if she was intentionally doing it to humiliate me, or if she was that incompetent. I tried complaining to her, but she just gave a blank stare and offered so compensation or apologies for the utter humiliation I went through. Now granted, it is a small thing to get upset about but I'm a control freak so it was a huge deal to me.
The bowling itself was alright. Harder than it appears. It was extremely overpriced. Paid $58 for 2 games with my date which lasted 20 minutes. Considering this, the value just isn't there. It's far more enjoyable and cheaper to just play games of pool at the nearby pool tables. Also by playing pool you can avoid dealing with boneheaded customer service.
A strong no on anything where you need to deal with customer service like bowling, and a proceed with caution for everything else. read more
