I brought several bags in for wash and fold service one morning. While the attendant was weighing…read morethe bags, she said there was too much to do today and it would have to be for tomorrow. I asked if maybe one or two of the bags could be for today and she said no since she already began weighing all the bags together. I went back later that day in the afternoon to drop off some more bags and was happily surprised to see my order was fully done and ready for pickup. Unfortunately, the attendant said she could not release them to me since I had only paid for next day service. Even though I thought that was ridiculous, I said "No problem, I'll just pay the increased rate for same day service so I can take my clothing now." The attendant said that since I didn't pay the same day rate when I dropped it off it couldn't be changed now and I'd have to come back tomorrow. I asked for a manager. The attendant claims she called management but there was nothing they could do. Last time I'll use this business.

Every time I drop off a blanket that needs dry cleaning, I ask that they don't wash and dry the blanket, and to please only dry clean it. The blankets still come back shrunken. This has happened many times and from now on, I will not bring my blankets to them. The manager (Lou) used to be very hands-on there, but I've been told that he no longer deals with the individual cleaners, and prefers that his "managers" deal with customers. This is unfortunate as I think he's become out of touch with the quality that's taking place there.

Not that the following has anything to do with laundry, but it has everything to do with the flair, originality and style of Lost Sock: Boss Lady L. was sporting incredible feathered shocks of hair dyed pink, fascia and peach! I said nothing so as not to seem inappropriate in these days of innocent compliments striking the wrong chord but between you and me! I loved it! Actually I began telling her about "dramma gassi, Nanya Basson". As I regaled her with the tale of my Danish aunt's misfortune of being stranded in Java after her Danish operation company broke down and her having to serve as a servant at a wealthy family's estate. That phrase? "Thank you Big Lady" in Javanese! I should have just told her how cool her hair was. I also years ago wrote a children's story in the spirit of Hans Christian Andersen which I promptly took down to avoid being to bizarre. So here's what you need to know. LS had the guts to work through the pandemic. They routinely support businesses around them including when a nearby eatery lost an employee far too young. Never lost a sock or piece of my clothing. Hand delivered always to my abode. Just the best! And I spent years enduring the terrible services of other places. Trust me: find Lost Sock!
