Could not recommend Kings Garden Center more! Looking for summer annuals I was so impressed with the quality and variety of the plants at Kings. After looking at what was offered at the garden departments at stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Meijer, and Walmart & leaving disappointed I was so excited seeing the beautiful colors and vibrancy of the plants that Kings had to offer! I went to King's Garden just to purchase wave petunias! Much to my surprise, I ran into a young lady named Kaitlyn . She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and full of energy that she got me so excited to garden that I ended up buying a lot more. If you love gardening, it's the perfect place to go. We bought most of our garden plants at King's this year. I figured they would be more expensive than Home Depot, but they are actually cheaper for most plants and the quality is WAY WAY better. All their plants are nice and well taken care of. Great variety of vegetables and herbs. The service was good too. Someone is always asking if you need help. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks about garden stores. Forget Home Depot and Lowe's, go to King's. read more

My wife usually prefers to go get a fresh-cut tree, but this year there really weren't any to be had in the area. Instead of driving to a farm way out of town to buy a North Carolina farmed tree, we decided to run over to King's over by Brannon to see what they had in stock. We enjoyed walked around their grounds and seeing all the crafts and more temperate plants in their greenhouse. We also really enjoyed that their pre-cut trees all had names. Once my wife found a tree named "Hermione" it was basically over, regardless of whether that tree was bigger than we had intended or not. I can't say we'll be back here for sure, but this place sure came through in a pinch. Nothing bad to say here in the least. read more

I planned on planting some shrubs around an investment property that I own and bought them at Kings. Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. I bought a couple of extra boxwoods that I ended up not needing and they took them back. I really like these people and this place - GREAT advice, friendly, great service. This is one of my favorite garden centers! The staff is amazing and everyone really knows what they're talking about (which is very helpful to me because when it comes to plants I do not)! I have gotten annuals, perennials, and seasonal decorations and have never been disappointed. They always have an amazing selection of anything you could be looking for & will always let you know the best way to care for it. I love the selection at King's! Their prices are a bit higher than what you'll find a the box stores but they also offer more variety and higher level of service as well. In addition to a great selection of trees and plants, they also have a small gift shop. In the shop, they have a great selection of fairy garden accessories, garden flags, bat and birdhouses, and other cute items. Be sure to sign up for their email list and you'll get notices about sales and occasionally a coupon. read more

A very pleasant experience with a huge variety of trees, shrubs, plants and annuals. We bought 2 redbud trees, only to have one not survive. They were gratious and immediately replaced it, and even delivered it the same day, which was amazing. Very knowledgeable staff, which is helpful in evaluating different varieties. I have bought four trees from King's Gardens. They take very good care of their plants, so the quality and health of their merchandise is superb! They also have the largest variety that I have seen in the Lexington area. Four stars because their customer service leaves something to be desired. They tend to pass you from person to person, and you're left very much on your own to make purchasing decisions. One employee actually told me to "google it" when I asked him about a plant. Even though I can never receive help at King's Gardens, I will surely be back because of their selection and quality. read more
