Where the doctor was perfect in her observation of him and ordered the not so common test to diagnose his illness. He was hospitalized with a non common infection on the brain. This hospital did not shy away from making sure he had the right doctors and nurses to take care of him. Doctors were brought in from other states and the most knowledgeable and supportive staff that one could ever ask for to help make my soulmate well. The ICU doctors and nurses are at the top of the spectrum. All of the staff from the reception desk, the cafe, the house keeping staff was very supportive and compassionate. The nurse's are all rated a 10 by me. We now have concluded our 56 days in this wonderful hospital. Being away from home and having this wonderful place was a blessing.

I was able to go with her untill the one came in to take her to get x-rays. The PA my Mom seen was very nice and concerned for a few issues and referred us to go to the ER where they could do more tests that they do not do. Once she had the results of blood work and x-rays we were able to leave. Over all it was surprisingly not bad of a process. My Mom seemed happy too she had a lady and not a man who checked in her. Took my dad to their emergency department (this being the last time I ever come to this place) today since it was the closest hospital. The nurse practitioner, after waiting for hours, spoke to my father for less than two minutes and determined that he didn't require further medical examination. I, working in healthcare myself, know that she should have at least ordered simple imaging to rule out other possibilities. This is not medicine. This is assumption. But we were told all it was was the $90 visit fee. Which we chalked up to the fact that we were down there helping hurricane victims and had mentioned that and they all acted so appreciative! I just received a bill for over a THOUSAND DOLLARS, just for 3 stitches. And they're claiming that they didn't need to give me an estimate- even though I was paying cash- because I signed an authorization for them to treat me. Well of course you sign an authorization at an urgent care for them to treat you, that is not authorization for anything over the $90 visit fee or any sort of estimate. Avoid this urgent care, they are extremely deceptive. Not to mention the "customer service" representatives, are extremely rude and argumentative and did nothing to look in to my issue and try to help.

They have stood at the door without any knowledge of how bad the injury is and gave me a "diagnosis", I've been told to put cream on a swollen knee which has probably been fractured if not worse.
