It's your regular boring strip mall, that permeates this area like the others. I have found some bargains at the Dollar Tree, although that's now technically the $1.25 Tree. The one here is solid although busy. When needing a heat lamp for my sons snakes, can get them at the Petsmart. They almost always have these in stock. Park far away if you can, although it can be difficult to find that spot.

Additionally, there is a gas station and a 7-Eleven on the premises. While a parking lot is available, visitors may find it challenging to secure a spot during peak hours. Furthermore, there are some areas in the parking lot that could benefit from maintenance.

So does the Bowl America in the back, but there's no real hub of entertainment. That would probably make this better. Unfortunately the bar here is so so, as Fast Eddie's no longer is open. Tis a shame, as so many fun memories. Most of the stores aren't high on the thrill-o-meter, but it does have enough to get a conditional nod.

That's not going to light up any excitement scores. Yes the Safeway here is a decent size. There is an Italian restaurant and a florist. Orange Theory is alright for aerobic folks, but it's not for those of us who like to build mass. I guess it serves a community purpose. One thing for sure is be wary of crazy drivers. The area is known for them, and the intersection this is at, well ask an insurance auditor. Keep your eyes on the road and distractions to a minimum. There is a Sweet Frog, and that's kind of fun occasionally. Also you'll find banks and I believe an AT&T wireless store. Up front is a McDonald's and a gas station. Most areas have these on the landscape.

First off kudos to the developer for a completely new design. My guess is the next door luxury townhouses that sell for close to a million each, had considerable influence on this. I'm still trying to figure out the ugly modern art deco crap clock across the street. My best guess is underneath that is it is a phone tower for cell companies. There are plenty of parking spots here. Also entering and exiting, while still entertaining, have been improved upon. The Celebrity Delly, yes that's how it's spelled, is a phenomenal restaurant. It is a favorite of mine. Yet the Subway next door isn't all that impressive, or the McDonald's and Exxon. There is a decent haircut spot for my son. Giant here is huge! This could be one of their biggest grocery stores in the chain. I'll revisit this as I hope more is planned. Until then it's average to me, but I do appreciate the new look. That's a step in the right direction.

Now, if you feel the need to get some hair off your chest. Or you want to get a manicure and pedicure, look no farther than Mavana Nails. I have experienced great service here many times on my hands and feet. Need a barbershop Graham Park Plaza has what you need. The barbershop is nearly run by an all female team. The hair results are outstanding for the males and females that visit the shop. I was there last Friday and Maria did a fantastic job. If you like Pho Soup, Spanish Food or need new cell phone, Graham Park Plaza's got your back. Graham is undergoing a new area of residency. Many people will intrested in living in this new Graham Park Community. The new community use to have other shops and a movie theater, but it wasn't making a whole lot of money. This new development will be fun to watch and see how things go from here on out. In the meantime, I will continue visiting Graham Park Plaza to do my grocery shopping and male personal grooming habits. Oh, and for years now at Graham Park Plaza, you can but fireworks a week on advance before 4th Of July and a week afterwards too.

For excellent customer service ACE Hardware is where it's at. The TJ Maxx here can be busy, but they seem to always have a fine inventory. Starbucks provides caffeine, for which I'm grateful. There are bigger and more exciting malls. Yet this one fits the old town look and experience. There's a pretty impressive dining and store selection in a small area. If you're in the area it's worth checking out.

Yet the back side needs some work. Even there it's showing age and weather effects. As for its parking, that can be challenging. The lot definitely needs to be paved. Leaving here with the light on Rolling Road, by all means buckle up and pay attention. There are a lot of traffic accidents here. Too many busy side streets. It works for basics, and Title Boxing Club is pretty sweet. If you're in the area, this has the basics you're looking for.

To each their own, but be wary of the fast drivers that Mclean is famous for. I rarely go here, and am happy other spots have better choices.

There is a HUGE amount of disposable income nearby- with the thousands of people living/working/shopping in Ballston...literally blocks from the Buckingham area... I'm sure eventually someone will come in and dress up this depressed section of Glebe Rd, including the Buckingham shopping center. However, as it stands this building and the surrounding ones are such eye sores that I don't blame new tenants for moving elsewhere. If someone doesn't improve, at least cosmetically, the businesses in this area and increase the walkability- it means no new jobs or economic improvement for Buckingham area residents. Buckingham writ large and this shopping center in particular have a small town feel with tons of auto traffic and potentially foot traffic. .. Please, please-can a developer come in here and spruce this place up? I know a yoga studio or at least an organic market would be well appreciated and promoted by local residents. Perhaps it would also start to diminish the current number of loiterers hanging around across the street outside CVS and McDonald's. Admittedly the parking situation is not the best...but neither is the parking situation in Clarendon or Courthouse. Perhaps a garage can potentially be built on top of the Buckingham shopping center or a nearby business.. If impossible, it would be beneficial to add bicycle parking and make the sidewalks wider/smoother to accommodate foot traffic.

The shopping center is host of several small businesses including Buckingham flowers. The entire district was deemed historic in 1999. The site is composed by apartment complexes and the shopping centers. I could not find markers or memorials that would provide the history of the district or why it was deemed historic which is quite disappointing. I grew up around these apartment complexes and thus they hold a close place to my heart but I wish they would do more to highlight what makes this district historic. You can tell from the brick building and architecture why these are worth preserving but also it would be nice to have some sort of structures to teach people about the history of the county. Obviously there is no fee to visit the district. I visited the neighborhood in 7/17/2016.
