If you live in Hull, and are even a tiny little bit geeky, or just enjoy using the internet for some high pace, last minute bidding on eBay, you will have a gripe with KC. Whether it's the lack of competition within the Kingston communications boundary which means prices are at the all time high, or be it the slow broadband, or the chance that you might not get online at all, despitepaying the highest charges possible for their broadband. Apparently, they cannot guarantee access for all people all of the time. As for calls, well, apart from the fact that we have no chance to implement what we have learned from the catchy 118 118 tunes and the far more fun 118 247 tunes, we again, have absolutely no alternatives other than to cough up and pay charges. Basically, Kingston Communications has many people desperately frustrated with their service. Personally, I think they are a good enough reason to pack up those bags and move from Hull. read more

Terrible company, customer service is non-existent. Broadband speeds not up to speed and when you complain or email they don't get back to you. It would be quicker not to search the internet but get in the car a drive to the place you are googling. read more

I have had some terrible experiences with KC and so has my sister Darlene. Right now even though I have requested a postal credit refund from operator services for 80 pence from 2 different times when 2 different phone boxes were faulty and KC took my details of name and address and said they would send me a postal credit but they haven't. I emailed them about this later but I only got an automated reply with no follow up email. I have chased this up by calling operator services but it's clear that no postal refund is forthcoming. Last week I went into a different faulty KC phone box and after the phone box took my 50 pence without giving me a phone call for it I called the operator who said she would put me through for a short call, so she did, but she disconnected me before I had had my 50p monies worth when I was talking about something important to someone.There was no warning that I would be disconnected, she just very rudely cut me off prematurely which was wrong. So I went into the KC customer centre in Hull City Centre to make a complaint and I told the advisor there about the issues and gave my details and she said she would speak to the manager at operator services and get them to call me back on my mobile that afternoon. I made sure I had given her my correct mobile number but no-one called me back. There are no missed calls or voicemails on my mobile. I cannot trust Kingston Communications at all they are a nightmare to deal with, like there is a nastiness like they hate me for something and I don't understand it. My sister Darlene had to make a formal typed complaint because an operator deliberately lied about a guest house not being listed and it was in the yellow pages at that time, she had to ring a friend and the friend got it out the phone book but the KC operator said it wasn't listed after Darlene rang directory enquiry. Also there has been incidence of the phone lines being muffled and cut off when my sister has been talking to the Samaritans about her problems, like she is being watched by Hull City Council and KC and undermined by her important phone calls being interfered with. read more
