We found this hotel on a popular online travel site. The profile and pictures for this hotel on the…read moresite are the most deceptive I have come across. There are photos of a bar, restaurant, gaming area - none of these are a part of the hotel or representative of the caliber of the rooms themselves. These are separate businesses located on the same lot and reportedly run by the same owners. They are modern and slick. The hotel itself seems an afterthought. When we drove up, we actually couldn't find the hotel, and left to drive around the block to find it. On second entry into the parking lot crowded with cars from the bar and gaming room, I spotted a door that said reception amongst the other businesses, and that's how we located it. When we approached it, the door was locked. I found someone in the bar who sent someone to check us in. We never saw anyone at the desk again during our short stay. The hotel 'lobby,' unlike the other businesses, is dark and dingy, as are the hallway and rooms located above. The room we stayed in was clean enough, but had beds without frames extremely low to the floor and very basic amenities such as I would expect at an inexpensive motel, maybe. I'm not sure where the photo of the river in their profile came from as the site is nowhere near the river, and we couldn't find a playground as shown in a photo in their online profile. We think maybe this is a picture from the McDonald's down the block (they used pics of the other businesses below them after all, so why not McDonald's?). Worst hotel of our 3 weeks on the road.

Entered for lunch today. Looked good and I wanted pasta which they had on the menu.Waited to be…read moreseated as requested by sign and did the checkin thing as required. Was noticed after a couple of minutes, no problem. The place was not full even by social distancing conventions so the waitress grabbed a menu and sat me at a little table in the walkway in front of the kitchen area. Not a good table by a long shot and one I was not comfortable sitting at. I was by myself and did not want to be sat in such an awkward place within a couple of feet of the dividing bar like a naughty school child being sat in front of the class. I went up to the waitress and said I wanted another table please as I was not happy to be sat there and she said, social distancing blah blah blah. No offer of a different seat, just blah blah. The place had other tables that people had just vacated and the lunch rush was well over but it was obvious she didn't want to give me a better table so I just walked out. She didn't even offer a table to be cleaned that I could wait for. Please don't whinge about not enough customers when you can't even clean a table for one.
