DO NOT TAKE YOUR AREA RUGS HERE FOR CLEANING. They don't actually clean them but charge you money…read more The rug I provided for deep cleaning literally still had fluffs and hairs on it when it came back after both the first and second cleaning.

Just left Alexanians on Dundas Street in Mississauga and very unhappy with the experience. I went…read morein looking for new carpet for our baby room as we are expecting very soon. They have advertisements all over the store of their "Spring Savings Event" that is going on. We found a great carpet we loved that was advertised for $3.99 a square foot including under pad and installation. We were all ready to get it until the sales person last minute informed us that because our room was under 300-500 square feet (not sure what it was since he kept flip flopping) that we would be charged an additional $250 for the installation. Obviously since the price advertised it including the installation with no mention of a minimum of square footage or any form of disclaimer of read the fine print we were not very happy about that. It wasn't until the fifth time we asked the guy that he mentioned this imaginary installation fee. We then asked for something either it be a contract or brochure or anything that states somewhere that there was this minimum and additional charge. Of course they have no proof of this... so are these additional charges a scam? Either way it was completely false advertising for ALL their carpets since none explained that the included installation isn't actually included. They didn't honour their advertising of $3.99 sq/ft INCLUDING installation. Overall, be very aware of these magically charges that aren't advertised. Definitely would NOT shop there again, customer service and satisfaction is not their priority.

KB Rugs - The replacement rug is of very poor quality. lasted 4 months.

WARNING: Do Not Trust KB Rugs…read more I strongly advise anyone considering KB Rugs to stay away. They picked up my rug last November with no receipt, no documentation, nothing. After that, they completely stopped communicating. I called multiple times, around 40 times during November and December and never got a straight answer. At one point, they claimed their machine broke, and my rug "might" have been taken somewhere else--but they still couldn't tell me where my rug actually was. I have a photo of the pickup of my rug. When I finally went to the store, instead of returning my rug, they tried to charge me $200 for a replacement, then dropped it to $100. I paid it even though I shouldn't have--because I felt pressured and taken advantage of. The rug they gave me was of garbage quality, it's completely rubbed out and flattened where your feet go. Within three months, it was completely flattened, unlike my original IKEA rug, which lasted over five years. They refused to replace it with anything comparable and took no responsibility for losing my rug. This company shows no professionalism, no integrity, and no accountability. My high-quality rug is gone, and I was left with a worthless replacement and extra costs. Avoid this business at all costs.

They sold us really cheap flooring that had a lot of issues with it. Prior to purchasing my wife…read moreasked if it was good quality as the area it will be installed will be a high traffic area and the sales person (Colin) assured her it was good quality material. Their customer service is also horrible. They say they will call back and never do. Happened so many times that I lost count. After paying them a delivery fee to get it delivered, my installer started installing it in the first room, he immediately called me and said the pieces were not clicking correctly and were popping out. He explained over time that the flooring will start to separate if not clicked properly and will look really bad. I immediately contacted square foot flooring and sent them a video of the installation showing the issue. They vehemently denied there were any issues and blamed our installer. After getting tired of waiting for them to call back, we drove 45 mins and met with them and they gave us (bs) explanations. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, and had our installer go there in person the next day and "learn" from the owner. Our installer tried installing the material after and had problems again. We delayed our project by a week and hired a more experienced flooring installer who had done some work for us previously, with 10+ years of experience, and he immediately told us that the flooring was no good and that it was not clicking correctly and was popping out. I asked him to record a video and sent it to square foot flooring and they again blamed it on the installer and said the installer didn't know what he was doing. They mentioned this material is hard to work with and other people have had problems with it and returned it. When we asked for a refund of the material they tried to charge us a 25% restocking fee - WTF? You guys admitted that people have had a problem with it. We're installing Vinyl here, it's not rocket science LOL. I even said I would buy other material from them if they could cancel the restocking fee and these guys tried to give me a higher price than other stores to make up for the restocking fee. Evan the owner is also a piece of work. They agreed to bring down the restocking fee to 18% after a lot of arguing, and then on the day we brought back the material he tried to jack up the restocking fee rate in front of us to get a reaction out of me. My wife and I also had to rent a home Depot van and load 1600sqft of material myself and unload it onto their dock. I purchased from Hardwood Design Centre in Brampton and the material was worlds apart and the customer service was excellent. They even let us return unused boxes for a full refund without any restocking fees. All in all, our project was delayed over a month and ended up returning all the material and on top of that paying a restocking fee. My advice is stay clear of these guys. When things go bad they will not have your back. They are not a reputable business and selling sub par material for overpriced rates. They'll never admit they are wrong. Own up to things and you will have my loyalty for life. They don't care about the customer and once they have your money good luck getting any help from them.
