Three weeks ago, I submitted their online form for a "Stay and Play" package in June--one night and 36 holes of golf. I never received a response. I called and spoke with Zak, who told me they were busy that weekend but would check with his manager and get back to me. A week went by with no follow-up. I called again, spoke with Zak, and was told he was waiting on a group of 18 to confirm and would call me Friday with an update. Once again, a week later no call. I called and left a message on voicemail for Zak. For the last time, no response. Fifteen years ago, my brother and I had a fantastic weekend here celebrating my 50th birthday, but sadly, the Country Club of New Hampshire has gone downhill since then. We'll be taking our business to another course and hotel.

It's a shame because the layout is great and location is accessible. Clearly they're hurting for cash or competence. During the drought after Covid it went to hell, we keep giving it a shot, but they can't seem to get it together. For $74 it's a massive let down. For $45 I'd accept it for what it is. I really want to like it, but I just can't. I'll be back in a few years to try again, but I'm not holding out hope unless they actually put effort into improving conditions.

Me, Ben, James & Molly all played here on a Sunday morning. Just on the foothills of the White Mountains so you get the tee box elevation on various holes. Some very beautiful views of the White Mountains from elevated tee boxes and a few elevated greens. Wide open fairways and greens that were all in great shape. The favorite was #10, Par 3 with elevated tee box & beautiful views. Don't be long or you'll be down the hill & pitching up a steep grade. All the tee boxes were in great repair and well marked. There is a restaurant attached with a nice view from the outside patio tables. You can view the short Par 3 10th hole from the patio which is entertaining. All the Staff were great and it all combined for a fantastic experience.

Over the years, I know where I should attack yet executing is my problem. Today was one of those days. We started on 10- right out of the shoot- no warmup. I hit a very good tee shot but we couldn't find my ball. Same for the 13, 15 etc. drives straight down the middle but mountain golf being what it is- everything rolls downhill. After a while, I just gave up and laughed. Fortunately knowing the area somewhat, we went for cold beers to drown our sorrows. Nice staff but I need to realize- this course is much tougher than it's rated.

So I had 12 friends of mine up for a boys weekend away and to announce to the all that I was getting married again. What better way to celebrate than to golf right, it's what guys do. Well real men that is... This isn't true, golf isn't a tough sport, in fact if you are good at it, you are probably a spoiled little brat who didn't have to work hard. All bits aside, this place is gorgeous, it's 8 minutes from my house in Meredith and at the top of a hill. You pass the town recycling center, a cemetery and a bunch of beautiful homes to get to it. The fees are good, the people are kind and greens are in great shape. The course really is gorgeous, hills upon hills, greenery and some beautiful reservation type spots that have all the nature and wonder. Lot of granite and woods as well, I know this because this is where my balls usually end. I also checked out the function room for my upcoming wedding and the only thing that is preventing me from having it here is the room size, it only holds 200 and most likely 175 comfortably. That said, I will have twice that at my wedding and I am sad about this, because I absolutely loved the room. It's a barn type setting with an amazing stone fireplace in the center of it and beautiful wooded bar. It also isn't very busy for some reason, I golfed on a saturday morning at the end of June and got an 8 am tee time no problem whatsoever.

White marble countertops, big windows, huge TVs. They did it right. Some table seating in the bar area, more in the side room (quieter). They need some sound proofing/noice cancelling stuff as it is LOUD. While I love the fact they have live music a lot, it's just too loud when the band is inside. We love eating on the patio in the summer listening to live music. Food is very good, but a bit overpriced. $16 for 8 wings? The burger was amazing. My kids liked the max and cheese and salad. The food is very good, but the high pricing (for the area) demands a bit better, thus the 4 stars.
