We booked a Resort Pass for today, 8/7/26. You can arrive when the pools at 8 am. We arrived around 10:30-11am. I read reviews and from those learned check in is at guest services. This is not spelled out by Resort Pass. The pass gives you access to the resort's pools, very small man- made lake, fitness facilities, racquet club, locker rooms with free lockers, bathrooms, and changing rooms. I searched but did not find any shower facilities in the changing rooms/ locker room area. The outdoor pool is large and clean. There are ample tables with umbrellas. None of the lounge chairs have umbrellas near them. Umbrellas for loungers would be ideal! There are ample, clean, soft towels available. There is a bar in the bottom of the Boathouse event facility. They have mixed drinks, various non- alcoholic lemonades, beer, wine, and hard cider. You can order food for delivery to the pool area from Butch's deli via touch screen right at the bar. Eventually the pool area became quite busy and loud. We ordered food from Butch's. It was very generously portioned, quickly delivered, and delicious. Sandwiches were $15/ea and came without sides but were very large per each of our party's members. Staff were very friendly and kind. As the pool became busier, and louder it was less relaxing. We didn't try the fitness center nor the fee for use water amenities on mini lake Harold. We did not golf nor utilize any racquet sports. Both are also fee for use. We did not try the hot tub as it was very warm out already. Other than wishing for shower facilities and umbrellas for the lounge chairs this was a very lively experience with three generations of our family. read more

Great place to stay with several amenities like restaurants, grocery story, golf and spa. We stayed at the lodge near the elevator and it was a bit noisy with people coming in and out from a wedding. People would prop open the door so anyone could come in. Next time I would stay in a house when we come back. read more

I can't say enough great things about this experience. It is a legitimate top tier semi-private courses in NH and a Jack Nicklaus design. Me, Ben, James & Molly all played here on a Sunday morning. Just on the foothills of the White Mountains so you get the tee box elevation on various holes. Some very beautiful views of the White Mountains from elevated tee boxes and a few elevated greens. Wide open fairways and greens that were all in great shape. The favorite was #10, Par 3 with elevated tee box & beautiful views. Don't be long or you'll be down the hill & pitching up a steep grade. All the tee boxes were in great repair and well marked. There is a restaurant attached with a nice view from the outside patio tables. You can view the short Par 3 10th hole from the patio which is entertaining. All the Staff were great and it all combined for a fantastic experience. read more

Stayed here for a wedding they have no idea what a lake view is so don't even waste your time trying to ask ahead of time. The rooms were not clean. The fireplaces do not work and are mostly brand new. The septic system had to be emptied on our second day after all of our check-in issues with the incorrect room and fireplace issues. Then once they were done and the smell permeated through the entire building he messed up and had to do it again so there's that. Honestly for the money they charge and the proximately to other lodging I would highly recommend staying offsite and driving the 10-15 to your wedding everything is close by and this place is not worth what they charge. The food at the restaurant and the deli was good but very expensive because they think we will not go off sight but if you research the area everything is close even a Dunkin Donuts is a 5-minute drive so they can have their machine coffee. The wedding was beautiful and the venue was very nice but think about your guests travelling and spending money for a destination wedding and book a place off sight they will thank you maybe get a shuttle if you are worried about them driving. I got to play here on vacation a week ago with my wife riding along and absolutely loved it. The views on the course are incredible and the course is pristinely maintained. I played an afternoon round at 1:30 and was surprised that we basically had the course to ourselves, although it was football Sunday. The carts were really cool with the built in Bluetooth and my wife and I were able to stream the Bills game to listen to our hometown team play last Sunday. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely come back to play here again! read more

Lived like a king an queen after dropping off our college kid. Owls nest was $271.00 for king bed with walking distance to pool and hot tub. towels on deck. They are building and seeking owners in this white mountain paradise. slice, deli and panorama are your food options. we went for panorama an sat outside watching golfers on a Nicklaus golf design that we overheard no one can shoot below 80. 4 star meal with many drinks under $150.00. Great food and service. i'm a mountain biker and not a golfer but damn if i could bike that course. its bumpy and not easy. The most horrible hotel experience ever!!!We booked our room for a wedding, but nobody told us the room is in an unfinished building. It smells like crap and it's literally located inside a construction site. The workers started banging on the wall at 6 am. We couldn't sleep at all. It's funny they didn't let us know about this until we arrived, so we couldn't cancel the reservation and book another place. The whole experience is absolute terrible. I suggest everyone avoid this place when planning their weddings, unless you want your guests sleep inside a construction site. read more

Stayed at one of their houses. House was great, very clean and new. Four bedrooms, four bathroom and kitchen etc stocked well. Staff were wonderful . It would have been 5 stars except on our first night a women that lived in one of the abutting townhouses approached my 10 year old daughter who was walking in the outside area grass area behind our house (see pic) and told her she was not allowed to be there as that was her property. The woman then told her she needed to have a mask on. She was no where near this women's house (I was about 100 feet away at the back sitting area). My daughter was a upset and came to me and told me what the women who we called "Karen" was saying and that she was video recording her (held her camera up and said I am recording you because you do not have a mask on) Recording my minor child without my permission, not ok.... and not sure why she did not speak to me as I was sitting within sight. Trying to be a good neighbor I went over there and asked did we do something wrong. She said I don't want anyone in my yard. I said, ok can you tell me where your property line so I can make sure we don't go there. And she just spiraled and became irrational. I told her my understanding was the grass was a common area for all to enjoy. She then said well how do you know your a renter, I own this and this is my yard. I said again ok tell me where I can go. She was completely irrational and then a gentleman came out and said get the "f.... out of here" . It was completely surreal, in front of child. We are not a wild bunch or here partying. Just a quiet family playing in the back yard. It was very upsetting to my child and my family. We paid a lot of money for the home (several thousand) and shouldn't have had to deal with that. So if you rent at owls nest be sure to request a home away from the townhouses. You will enjoy the rentals there, but be warned apparently some of the owners do not take kindly to renters. read more

Attended a wedding here and the resort is quite nice to stay at. Now the wedding , beautiful space but something was off from the start. The staff is poorly trained and it shows in the service. There was on bartender who just didn't want to be there and was miserable. If it was my business I would of noticed and corrected her and honestly I would fire her. Now the food, the appetizers were poorly done, felt like they bought them at BJ's.... the main course, was the absolute worst meal at a wedding I've ever had and my table was shocked at how poorly the foods was executed. Sirloin steak in one strip that was so grey it just looked gross. I can't believe a chef would allow it out of the kitchen. The ownership should be ashamed for taking this poor family's money as I'm sure it was very expensive. Be very cautious of the food if your looking to book your wedding. This place has great potential but needs lots of help in training and the kitchen.. Buyer beware!! read more

Went up this past weekend with a group of 8 friends from college. House comfortably slept all of us, and the home was in immaculate condition. Full kitchen was incredible, great new TVs and comfortable beds. Only thing I would change on the home is to add another couch in the living room, it gets uncomfortable sitting on kitchen chairs all day. I had brought my camping grill, but it would be nice to have a little 2 burner gas grill on the back deck. Those are super small critiques but would definitely have added to the experience. The golf course the best I've played in the mountains. Beautiful fairways, tee boxes were in great shape, best greens I've played in years. It's certainly a challenging course but it was enjoyable all the way around. Staying on the resort we had virtually unlimited access to the on-site range which was awesome as well. The pool and hot tub is great to have after a round in the summer heat as well. The most enjoyable part of our stay was the service from staff. Everyone from the started to the bartenders were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to be accommodating even during a 2 hour thunderstorm delay. One of our guys booked a trip for this fall for another group of his friends before we checked out. read more

Tough tough sell here folks. Paid over $600.00 for 2 nights and golf. No range balls. No meals. An absolute natzi of a cart hunter chasing us down between rounds and 40 mins between our 18/36 rounds. Had to return the carts just to walk back. As a group it was over $4500 we spent. Checking in was disaster as well. Golf course is great. Amenities are no bueno. read more

Where do I even begin? Growing up in the white mountains, playing golf and spending time at Owl's Nest, I always knew I wanted to get married under their Sperry tent looking over the golf course with gorgeous mountain views. From the moment we booked the venue and two years of planning, we had the most perfect wedding over Labor Day weekend. Between golf, lodging, food & beverage and the event staff, the whole weekend was unforgettable. Amy and Taylor were by my side the entire way (answering any and all of my ridiculous questions at all hours of the night) and with Haleigh's assistance on wedding day, they executed an amazing, stress-free perfect weekend. Mike and Matt McDonald and their whole food & beverage team were incredible. We still have guests raving about the appetizers, dinner and the size of the portions! Katrina, Sean and the rest of the lodging team were amazing in making sure our room block was perfect. All of our guests had the option to stay on site. They made sure everyone was well taken care of and comfortable. Head golf pro Joe Clark Jr., Cole, and the rest of the golf staff was especially accommodating when planning and putting on our Friday morning golf outing. Our wedding day was beyond incredible and was truly the best day of our life. Throughout the planning process and weeks leading up to the wedding, Taylor provided us with a detailed schedule on how the day was going to go. I will tell you, the first time I looked at it I was a little nervous...but everything went to plan and I'm SO glad we had it. I wish I could go back and do it all over again! Owl's Nest will always hold a special place in our hearts for all the years to come. I would 1000% recommend Owl's Nest to anyone looking to have their dream wedding or golf outing!!! read more

Restaurant review only -- we are not golfers. Quite possibly the best restaurant where we've eaten in the past 5 years. The setting is gorgeous, the service was prompt and impeccable. For appetizers we had the peach canapes, the "New England donuts" and two of us shared the scallop soup. All were amazing. The "donuts" were the very best fritters we've ever had, including our homemade ones. Amongst us we had the Mediterranean pork chop, the salmon and the chicken saltimbocca, and all were delicious and the portions were just the right size. The wine and beer offerings were much appreciated. We will be back! read more

Just got home from owls nest for a wedding So expensive!!!! So disappointed. Place is a construction zone. Septic smell right outside patio. Gross slimy lake, full of tadpoles , no beach. Everything broken or half built. Bedroom doesn't have a closet but bedroom has a microwave. They rushed it and are trying to make it work. It doesn't work. But they do have 100 pickle ball courts even though they only need 5. Who is calling the shots up there. So expensive. Go somewhere else read more

We stayed At Owls Nest for 3 nights for a wedding the last weekend of September. There were a few hiccups when we first got there but the General Manager, Brad McCoil, made everything right. We stayed in a beautiful house and I can say it was important to them to have a satisfied customer. The wedding was beautiful, and the house was perfect! Really nice place, staff very accommodating! Stayed with 14 other families for local tournament. 1 bed cottage is what we had and we really enjoyed our stay. I do have 3 complaints/comments: 1. For a cottage that is supposed to sleep 4, a place to sit and eat for 4 with a table would have been nice, couch only accommodates 3 seats, no place for 4th person to sit. 2. Im paying a 75.00 cleaning fee, yet I have to take out my own trash and wash my own dishes before I check out. Not sure what the cleaning fee is for if i have to do the cleaning, i dont even know where the dumpster is, yet I might get charged an extra $25.00 for not taking trash out... does not make sense and its not a fair and reasonable fee since im already paying a outrageous cleaning fee 3. It was awesome having use of the activity center we were able to cook and eat together as 15 families, however, a tv in the activity center above fire place would have been useful for our group. read more
