However, I recognize that selection of a church is a very personal thing and I respect anyone who does not feel led to go to this church.....as long as you go somewhere. With that said, let me tell you what I like about MY church. The pastor, Dr. Bruce Webb is a great servant and teacher. He always seems to have a message from God to share. The real strength of the worship time is Dr. Don Barrick. He is the only member of the staff that was in place when I arrived and I can't say enough about his ministry leading in worship. His talent, creativity and flexibility all lead to great worship services. My small group / bible study class is also a key part of why I go to FBCTW. Our class has a great class leader and we enjoy the learning and socializing we take part in every week. Check out the church website for all the current details but we have found there are places for service in missions (domestic and foreign) and a well planned Student program for middle school and high school students. It has been a while since we had anyone in our family in the Children's program but I think it is thriving under the leadership of the Children's Pastor, Kimberly T. If you plan to attend for the first time, be sure you check out the time the service starts....there are three services on Sunday morning you can attend, with the first one being a traditional (i.e., hymns and a chior) and the other two being more contemporary (i.e., a praise band and group). There is also a Children's service in the second service, where the kids leave after a few songs to participate in their own worship time. If you are looking for a new place to worship, I certainly recommend you visit and see if FBCTW is right for you.

My Disappointing Experience with The Woodlands Methodist Church Science Summer Camp (July 20-24,…read more2026) My grandson was registered for the week-long science summer camp at The Woodlands Methodist Church from July 20, 2026, to July 24, 2026. Four of his friends were also registered for the same camp. Unfortunately, while his friends were placed together in one class, my grandson was assigned to a different class with children he did not know. He was very disappointed and wanted to be with the friends he already knew. I requested that he be moved to their class, but my request was denied. I spoke with the registrar, Miss Kathy, who explained that there were over 1,200 children in the camp and that they do not make changes. When I asked how many similar requests they had received, she said, "Zero." I found it very disappointing that, despite this being the first request, there was no willingness to make an exception. I also spoke with the director, Miss Wendy, but received the same response. They suggested that he make new friends, but this was only a five-day camp, not a long-term school environment. I understand children come to camp to learn, but learning is most effective when a child is happy, comfortable, and excited to participate. A child who feels unhappy will not have the same opportunity to enjoy or benefit from the experience. My biggest disappointment was the lack of flexibility, compassion, and understanding. I expected a church-operated program to reflect values of kindness, support, and love. Instead, I felt that rules were placed above a child's happiness. I am not a regular church-going person, but I have always heard people talk about "our church" and wondered what that meant. After this experience, I can say The Woodlands Methodist Church did not feel like a place that represented those values to me. It is sad when people in positions of authority focus more on policies than on showing compassion. I had a very disappointing experience and would encourage parents to ask questions about class placement and policies before registering their children. The camp does not offer refunds, and they are welcome to keep my fee as a charitable donation. I would not send my grandson to a place where I do not feel there is genuine love, support, and understanding for children.

Their main pastor speaks at the traditional and contemporary services. There is also a "modern" service held in another building called the "Loft" which I see has its own Yelp review page. They have a younger man and woman speaking over there. I was told the main difference between it and "contemporary" service aside from the pastoring is the music, which is apparently heavier and more alternative rock. I'd go there next time but this time we went to the contemporary and heard their main pastor who is a good speaker and for once someone not totally into sports like most pastors I've heard. The kids program looked pretty comprehensive with an in depth study for 6th graders wanting to learn more about Christ. They have Spanish speaking service and I did read they have a mandarin speaking church group as well.

The community is close-knit and full of warmth, especially fitting for conservative families. The clergy & ministers are approachable and always eager to help. The campus is quite vast and very beautiful - with a main church sanctuary, 2 chapels, offices and schools, and several gardens. It houses one of the largest reliquaries (180 holy relics) in the Archdiocese. We started as new initiates and have felt so welcomed from day-1. We attended Catechesis classes, received our sacraments here, joined social groups, attend mass regularly, and always look forward to the frequent events. Neither the worship nor preaching ever feels personality driven because the focus is 100% Jesus. The preaching is full of the Word, wisdom, truth and without compromise. Y'all it's fire! We have been here about 7 months. We've been healing emotionally, seen all sorts of breakthroughs and experienced beautiful restoration of our faith. People are getting healed physically and emotionally. From the time you arrive, to worship, preaching and to the time you leave, you just feel at home. We love the community groups and just getting to meet really wonderful people. So most of all we experience such fullness in Christ and take that strength with us wherever we go. I spent over 10 years here and recently all the elders but Corey Elder put me in a meeting and…read moreLOCKED me in the room and started to berated me while surrounding me about some issues I have that are directly related to health and I admitted these issues and I said which you hear in this secret recording, that I have already been dealing with it in home first. They said good but ignored it and berated me and I told them that due to my trauma and anxiety issues from childhood I would not be receptive and this would probably cause a panic attack. Yet they didn't care. You hear in the recording they would ask me questions and when I go to answer I don't get to finish since they would cut me off and kept doing it until I told them to stop interrupting me when they asked me a question and told and it only got worse. I did go into a panic attack and I don't remember bits and pieces after that since I was told by doctors my minds defense to keep itself together after panic attacks is sort of mini black out moments. They even said at the beginning of it that my medical issues are not to be brought up since they aren't doctors but know my issues steam from medical. I am BEYOND appalled that I used to call them friends and family. Now I know that even after 10 years they still hold mistakes I did from that long ago. They brought it up time and time again, yet they don't hold each other accountable for some of their issues they shared with me that prevent others from going to this HORRIFIC church. I trashed any and all items or memories that had this logo on it. After that meeting, and after I was let go, I went home, not remembering parts of the drive due to my mental state and just remember getting home and having more panic attacks until I think 5pm then my wife gets a call by one of them because I told them I was blocking them after the harm they caused to me and they refused to take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR EVEN APPALOGIZE to me for the harm they put me through and when I ripped that "elder" a new one for the mental harm they put me through, he NEVER ONCE APPOLOGIZED and instead enforced a ban on us. So if anyone has any mental health issues or makes any mistakes even in home groups since some of the home groups started spreading things about me (one of the elders told me in the meeting) just find a new church since the leaders NEED TO GROW A LOT MORE before they deal with ANY COUNCELING. They are not ready to lead this congregation or counselling sessions since they can't take accountability for their own screw ups towards members of the church.

She learned basic Spanish, counting to high numbers, beginning reading, et cetera. The actual building may not look like much as it is older, but the staff and curriculum certainly make up for it. Mrs. Annette is the director and she is such a sweetheart. She puts on the cutest Christmas programs and even a graduation for the Pre-K students. I feel like my daughter learned a lot while there and felt very much loved by her teachers. Its important for your child to bond with the people they spend a third of their day with, and we definitely got that at FBCC. My school-aged child went to their summer and holiday break care a few times as well. To FBCC- Lola loves and misses you all!
