I went to check out the store for the first time and I was impressed with the gentleman who helped me find the right shoes. He even let me stand into this device which will determine the right shoes using a computer readout. I tried few shoes for walking that I need. I tried the Hoka, New Balance. My existing shoes was Asics Mens Gel Nimbus 21 that's worn out and I ended up buying the Asics Gel Cumulus 23 which happened to be on sale to replaced my worn out Asics. What impressed me was this guy was so patient with me and even let me try it at home if I'm fully satisfied. No need to return the shoes to change it. I took my mother in law to the White Rock location as her feet have hurt for years and she could not find a pair of shoes to fit her properly. Marla was amazing...we did not have an appointment and she went above and beyond to size and find a shoe for my mother in law. She asked many questions to understand her challenges and what kind of shoe she was looking for. She provided service that you cannot find anymore. Since then, my mother in law's feet feel so much better, she is walking easier and can't wait to get another pair. Great selection of shoes to suit all of her needs. Got a Donjoy knee brace measured and fitted as my Orthopaedic surgeon was going to be months to get in and do it. Had some issues at the first fitting and they offered to arrange for the Donjoy rep to come double check everything given I'm very tall. Got the brace and knee pain much better after activity! Also ended up getting my feet scanned and did a gate analysis on the treadmill and then we went through the various shoes that would be a good fit for my size and walk. Got the superfeet insoles as well. Tamara was great to deal with and Matt is extremely knowledgeable. They didn't hesitate to recommend shoes that they didn't sell. I will be bring my entire family there to get sports and running shoes. I would highly recommend them. They also have their COVID-19 protocols nailed with appointment bookings, reminders, and everything taped out in the store. Very safe. read more

I originally went to this location to get orthotics made with good results and service. I have never purchased shoes there as they have very limited stock. But, I tried again a few weeks ago. The store was empty and I was served quickly. I told her what I needed in size and width. She went and checked and came back with right size but not the correct width. She said that didn't have any runner/walking shoe in my width. I asked if they could order in and she said yes but it would require a 50% deposit that was only refundable with a store credit if I didn't like the shoes. Issuing store credits instead of refunding cash or credit is so old school and one of the reasons I tend to not shop as small independent stores. Sadly, their way of doing business doesn't work for me. So I decided to go to the New Balance store in Langley (which is where I bought my last pair of runners). They had my size and width in stock and gave a good discount as well. Their pricing was much better than Kintec also. As much a I like to support local business, this will never be one of them again. Update the owner spoke me tonight, and was great and very understanding he was helpful and explained the time frame and why it took so long. He was caring and very approachable. I was able to express my frustration to him and he was very respectful. It's nice to see a business owner try and resolve the issue and help his patients out. He explained how staff are being trained and was receptive to my feedback and recommendations about informing customers about the time frame. As a podiatrist I would highly recommend him as a specialist as he has been very knowledgeable with his work. read more

I ordered compression stockings first week of July, EST time of arrival last week of July, went to the store first week of September to ask if my compression socks arrive, the staff question " did you received a call that it arrive?'' I'd answer I did'nt received a call but its more that 2 months now, pls call me when you find out where is it or when its coming, no call few days I called again and ask, its not there yet and they will find out whats going on, no calls again, sent message to the virtual customer support, after 2 day finally it arrive. in two months time i had a swelling on my ankle, got check July with this location and not there, September went to Surrey location noticed that there is a swelling in my ankle? Is it maybe the swelling will not happen when the compression comes on time??? Just wondering... read more

Extremely disappointed with the service. I ordered a pair of compression socks for my mother. I was told I would receive it within 2 weeks. However, I received these only after 5-6 weeks. When u went to collect the socks, the store staff wanted to charge me 2X times the original quote. After escalating to their manager, they gave me a discount, however it was still higher than the original quote. Only because I needed these urgently, I paid for it. read more

Kintec has been really helpful each of the four times we have made purchases there. We purchased an air cast, and 3 pairs of runners over the last 3 years. Each transaction was excellent. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with the Service I received. I booked an appointment online and received confirmation of the appointment. I then drove 25 plus minutes to the store and waited patiently in line only to be told I did not have an appointment and they were fully booked for the day. I was told they were having computer problems. Although I was frustrated, I was understanding and gave them the benefit. While I was there, in person, I booked another appointment for the next day. I asked the employee three times to verify my appointment for the next day, which she did and told me my original appointment was showing in the computer as well. The following day, I drove another 25 plus minutes and was told I didn't have an appointment and my name was nowhere in the system and they were booked for the remainder of the day. They said they could book me another appointment. NOT A CHANCE! Two days wasted. very disappointed! Will not recommend to anyone. read more
