Shirley's voice changes when she is supposedly "in the process of hypnotizing you", and to me, that was very distracting, and I couldn't relax at all. The audio file she sent me with the recording of my sessions - I couldn't listen to it due to her voice and didn't know how to tell her. With all that, I was willing to give her a second chance, but unfortunately, I had to cancel the session at the last minute. Only to learn later that the cancelation policy is ridiculous - Initially she told me that I needed a 3-session package for $990. I only had one session. According to Shirley, I also missed the first session due to miscommunication. I didn't know we were supposed to meet that day. In fact, I was in an airport when she texted me - and I was very apologetic, but Shirly felt that although "everyone gets a one-time break," I still "left her stranded" - the exact word she used. The second time I canceled last minute due to serious reasons. However, I was not the only one canceling last minute - Shirley also canceled precisely when the session was supposed to start but that was fine... who was going to have her account for that? Long story short, Shirley said she would give me one more session "as a gift" (which is ridiculous when you spend close to $1,000 and you have only 1 session), and she was expecting me to pay again $330 for my third session. To me, Shirley's practice and approach are just another example of what is wrong with the world. Maybe her practice helped others, but it didn't help me in my first session, and I cannot use the recording, and yes, I canceled last minute, but so did she. I was very understanding when she canceled, and although I rushed home that day to make the session, she never thought that my time was important, even though I never told her that she "left me stranded". Shirley lacks empathy and is very set on making money, and that cancelation policy which I never read when I gave her my credit card, is great business for her. I am sure Shirley will write back a long explanation of how she is right as she has already put a lot of effort into constantly telling me how wrong I am. If Shirley had spent more time being truly compassionate and not focussing so much on being an agile businesswoman who makes money out of cancelation fees, I would have never written this about her practice. At the end of the day I wanted my money back because her practice didn't work for me. In fact, this whole experience was probably one of the worst things I experienced in a very long time. Ugly....hands down. Shirley threatened me that if I wrote this review, she would take legal action.

From the first call I placed I knew he is the only person who would be able to help me . I had lost hope in myself , when I first saw him I wasn't even ready to talk but doctor Eimer broke the ice and we started talking and dealing with the issues. Doctor Eimer treats you by helping you deal with your issues and making you more grounded, and depending less on medications. He is an expert EMDR therapy . My experience with EMDR with him was our of the world he will not force you and giv you pointers , he on the other hands let's those thoughts and emotions come to you naturally and then help you process it and deal with it . To be honest I haven't found any therapist that is willing to EMDR. But doctor Eimer didn't hesitate to do it and infact he even suggested more therapies to decrease medication dependence . When you are in a bad place in your life you want someone to understand you , help you deal with it and not jsut ask you maintain a journal and then talk about things from the journal. He is so much more than that . He is understanding and kind. I have been to four different therapist and no one ever has helped like he did . So anyone struggling.. pls call Doctor Eimer he will change your life . He will change the way you see yourself and the world . I can't stop writing good things about him , but if you need someone to do actually cognitive therapies and decrease your medication dependence please call him . The…read morestaff there is always there to talk and they truly love their jobs and actually want to help which makes it more comfortable for me to talk to them when I was having a hard day. The groups are run by people who keep it interesting and a lot of fun so you don't feel bored. Anytime someone I know needs help with addiction I always send them to The Treatment Center because they helped me so much and even after I left they have programs to still guide me and help me along my path. This place saved my life and I own so much them for helping me find true happiness within myself.

They called me after 5 less then a week…read morebefore my appt, to tell me that my psychiatrist no longer works there and they do not take Medicare. They then gave me the number of a new psychiatrist- I called the new dr and the number is OUT OF SERVICE. this tells me they did not even call the dr to see if he was still practicing. I am undergoing cancer treatment and to be hit with this news and no back up is unacceptable. This has left me in a real bind. When I expressed my displeasure that they called me w less then a week, she said, "be happy you weren't called the day of your appointment!" That is even worse! How can a dr treat patients like this- a psychiatrist? How do they know my mental health status? How do they know this won't put me off a bridge? This is inexcusable.
