Simply the best for taste and value for money! The service is always excellent and waiting times are shorter than anywhere else I know. The atmosphere is brilliant and nothing is ever too much for staff. I for one won't go anywhere else now I've found Clove...well recommended!!

I'm happy to say they are back on form. She opted for the £6.95 set menu and I had the £7.95. We both chose prawns for starters which is the only reason they're having a 4 star not 5. The prawns although tasty were the tiny pound a bag from the freezer shop variety and the Wifes were so tastless she was slapping the red poppadom sauce over them to perk them up a bit. The rest of the food was bangin, I had a chicken tika balti made hot as a Madras. Yum. She had lamb sagwala which was very nice. We both had pilau rice, shared a Nan (extra £2.25 for the peshwari) and I got ice cream and she had fruit and cream for desert. The ice cream was creamy and had a drizzle of syrup over it and the fruit was the kind you get out of a tin with some pouring cream so nothing fancy but by then we were stuffed. Aditionla bous is an offy 2 door down so you can grab some beers/wine to take in.

Will not be using again, and I'd avoid unless you want food poisoning!!! Foodhub however we're very helpful!!

My partner thinks that their kebabs are the best in town and their chips are really tasty, its cheaper than the ones nearer the centre of town too so its worth calling at if you drive out of town via Chapel Ash anyway, we always find its quieter and you dont have to queue, again because of its location I guess. The staff are really nice and chatty, only problem can be stopping on the busy road but later at night there is usually plenty of space to park for a few minutes.

Disclaimer, this review may be biased by years of awesome memories…read more Every Christmas eve me and my mates congregate on the King for a traditional curry. Now in our tenth year, little has changed besides the tablecloths. You can expect friendly service, cheap main courses, decent menu covering all the classics and a free 1/3 shot of Baileys (or generic brand) Irish cream when you're done. It's bring your own booze which adds to the value for money (News and Booze just up the street or the garage across the road should have you covered) and seems to stay open reasonably late. For me this is a standard cheap curry house done well. I love it.

Valentines night I had my usual stuffed mushroom starter and my partner had mixed tandoori girl. Both dishes were tasty served with fresh salad For main he had a combination dish chicken and lamb. I don't recall names but he wolfed it down along with lemon chilli rice and chips. I had talapia fish, with mushroom rice and a bullet nan. My fish portion was huge cooked to perfection in a fragrant delicate sauce. The bullet nan hit the spot with fresh chopped chilli and garlic The bill came with complementary after 8 mint and a shot of something similar to baileys. An altogether very enjoyable meal with attentive staff happy to pamper to our every need. Would recommend if your ever in town have a meal here.

The chowmeins are still very nice, and the portion sizes are still the same. However, they have changed the curry that they use, which is now much blander and they have also changed the chicken, which is no longer the nice large chunks of 100% breast they used to do. The prices are average, the food is still of an acceptable quality and it is always very busy. Worth a try as long as you don't expect a fantastic curry.

Evergreen is positioned next door to Queslett Road Surgery, in a lay-by just off the main road, which means that parking is quick, easy and hassle-free when you stop by to collect your order. The waiting area is spotlessly clean, with wood panelling on the walls and hand-carved, Chinese Dragon-themed chairs in the waiting area. A television and a few magazines are also provided for those customers left sitting around. In my experience, Evergreen's food has always been delicious. Their chicken and mushroom curry has a subtle, but flavourful kick to it and their sweet and sour pork is one of the most authentic examples I've ever tasted from a UK takeaway. With its fast service, good parking facilities and gorgeous food, this friendly and efficient eatery really is top-notch.

The food: Excellent! Very good tasting and a great experience. I'm always full when I leave and I've never been able to finish a plate yet. It's also extremely cheap too! I got a meal with starter for under a tenner, crazy prices. Decor: it's 'ok' inside, they're never going to win a design award but I don't think that they really want to either... Their focus seems to be on good tasting food at a good price - and that's fine by me. The only slight criticism I have which stopped me from giving 5 stars is that they use MSG in some of their sauces which gives me massive headaches and insomnia. A LOT of Chinese restaurants do this these days which is strange because in California, this is a complete no go situation. But it's seems to be the norm here in the UK unfortunately. Overall though, I can't fault this place, they're great and we really like them - great restaurant and great people :)
