The first thought was the tip but remember seeing this place in passing. We filled a 4x4 with medical supplies & various walking aids, no medicine included. They where gratefully accepted and will be used to distribute free of charge to members of the community that need them. I'm sure we will donating again. The staff are members of a local disability charity, very helpful & grateful.

There are toilets (which seem well looked after); payphones, a cash machine (with transaction charge); a children's play area and outdoor picnic tables. On the same site there is a large garage to refuel your car and there's a Travelodge too. It's accessible to northbound traffic only and operated by Moto. You can find it between junctions 35 and 36 and it's about 11 miles south of Kendal and 4 miles north of Carnforth.
