He is an amazing doctor. I have seen him for several years for more than just pregnancy. While he…read moredoesn't sugarcoat anything, he is always ready to serve his patients. I've personally seen him go to bat for his patients in regards to their care. I've always seen him tell off other doctors when they tried bullying or offering less than standard care. He is not the type of doctor to wipe your tears or stroke your hair. He probably never earns a seat at most people's Thanksgiving table. However, he has passion, knowledge and expertise. I'll take his commitment to his patients over some wanky danky, mamby pamby snuggle bunny doctor any day of the week!

I only went to one of my prenatal appointments scheduled with Dr.Fitzgerald, at Aurora Women's…read moreHealth Care. I could not force myself to go back to further be seen by Dr. Fitz. I read so many good reviews about him and his practice that I was more than excited to check on my expected baby for the very first time! However, after arriving to my appointment and meeting with the doctor, I had no idea that an appointment could have gone so badly. (An appointment that is SUPPOSED to be a special time in your life that you will cherish forever....)I After asking me questions regarding my health history, I had mentioned the PTSD that I've been diagnosed with after I had been sexually assaulted. I would have thought that the necessary steps would be taken to ensure a comfortable experience without triggering an episode. I was not told that a Transvaginal Ultrasonography would be taking place at any point, I was just asked to take off my clothes and put on the gown. After the doctor came back into the room he did a breast exam followed by the ultrasonograph. AT NO POINT was I told what was about to happen, Dr. Fitzgerald just stuck (what felt like) his entire fist inside of me. After seeing my discomfort and the pain he was causing to me, my financè told the doctor to stop and that he was obviously hurting me... Dr.Fitzgerald then said, "well it's not going to get any better unless she relaxes." Hearing that made the panic set in and I started to have a panic attack, silent and frozen in place... Then we heard our babygirl's heartbeat for the very first time. This moment of hearing the little life inside of you is one of the most blessed moments in any parent's life, and Dr. Fitzgerald took that moment and made it about something completely different. Afterwards I could not wait to get out of there. I was emotionally spent. I felt violated in more ways than one. He was rough with me and I feel as though that's very unprofessional. I decided to not return to Aurora Women's Health Care due to the lack of bedside manner and a sense of respect that was absent from the appointment. This review is for those of you who have experienced any form of sexual abuse and know how long of a journey it is back to feeling any type of normal again after a traumatic experience. I DO NOT recommend Dr.Fitzgerald...
