I originally fell in love with Kiss the Bride when I saw the wedding video they made for some friends of ours. Even though our wedding was more than a year away, I knew I wanted Kiss the Bride as our videographers. From the beginning (just over e-mail), communicating was a pleasure. Alwyn was incredibly genuine, responsive, honest, and accommodating and we were so excited to find out she would be the videographer at our wedding! The survey Kiss the Bride provide was extremely useful not only to direct the videographer, but also to refocus what my husband and I really wanted to be captured. Watching all of the past Kiss the Bride highlights together (and ..tbh.. crying uncontrollably) was actually a huge bonding moment for my husband and I! When it finally came to the day of our wedding, we honestly have no words. Initially, my husband and I weren't planning on hiring a videographer for our wedding. Since my husband is a photographer, we had decided early on that our wedding photography would be a top priority in terms of quality and budget. Aside from that, there is definitely a bit of a negative connotation when it comes to wedding videos - soft lighting and cheesy music is not how I wanted my wedding remembered. As for my husband, in his professional experience he felt strongly that video operators just got in the way of still photographers. So why would we spend so much money on quality photographers just to have their job potentially botched by an incompetent videographer? But my mom was insistent on hiring one, arguing that she wanted every moment of the day captured both visually *and* auditorily so that we could watch and relive it for years to come. Video could document the day in a way that photos couldn't. She had a point. She also had the pocketbook. And while my husband still felt strongly against having one, I wondered if not hiring one would be something we'd later regret. Besides, some battles are just not worth fighting (a lesson to be learned for all soon-to-be-newlyweds). So I scoured the web looking for suitable and reasonably priced videographers. Little did I know that there's a whole new subgenre of wedding videography known as wedding "cinematography". These wedding cinematographers were also not fans of the stereotypical wedding video - they wanted to capture your wedding day artistically and unobtrusively (wedding videojournalism, if you will). No huge honking video cameras in my face, but instead a compact DSLR? No garish lighting and unidentifiable muzak? And they can make any wedding couple look like the stars of their very own awesomely sweet music video? Bingo! With only a couple months left to go before our wedding, and a quickly dwindling budget, I knew our choices would be limited. But luckily I found Leslie Satterfield of Kiss the Bride Films. She sent me her pricing information, which detailed a small variety of packages starting at $1900 for 6 hours and going up to $3200 for 12 hours and two cinematographers. And all packages include 3 DVDs containing your documentary reel (anywhere from 45-90 mins, depending on your package) and 3-5 minute highlight reel (aforementioned "awesomely sweet music video" with your song choice), and you can request to have all the raw footage, as long as you provide a hard drive. Better yet, we were able to negotiate a lower price and reasonable overtime fee. The day of the wedding, she was on time and ready to go. She basically followed the lead of our two wedding photographers, which is exactly what we wanted. Most of the time, I forgot she was even there, which meant I didn't have to feel self-conscious about having my video shot. And since our wedding photographers couldn't be everywhere all at once, she got to film things that even we missed (and the day goes by so quickly that you feel like you miss a lot!). We were pleased with her wedding day performance - she was nice, professional and unobstrusive. In two and a half months' time, she sent us our highlight reel, which we absolutely loved. It was so sweet and captured lots of great little moments in only four short minutes. I couldn't wait to share it with all my friends and family, who also raved about it. She ended up using the song we chose for our cake cutting ceremony, but when I requested an alternate version with another song, she gladly and promptly put it together. Within three months, we had our complete wedding dvds in our mailbox. We were really impressed with her speed and professionalism. Throughout our three months of doing business with her, she was always easy to communicate with and prompt in responding to emails. Now comes my not-so-dirty little secret. After a month of having the video in my possession, I still have not watched it. (My mom has, of course - she watched it the first night and loved it!) But I still have it pretty clearly in my head how the whole day unfolded...I have my rose-colored memories, if you will. And watching the video might change how I remember the day. So for now, I'm going to hold onto the memories of that day exactly as I remember it...and when I want to watch it and relive it from an outsider's perspective, I know I'll have an awesomely sweet video waiting for me. read more

AMAZING. You have found your videographers. Don't bother looking elsewhere. I just re-watched my wedding clip 2.5 years after my wedding and it brought tears to my eyes, again. And I am not the teary type. Kiss the Bride Films succeeded in showcasing the mood, energy, love and essence of our wedding by capturing fleeting moments of joy and compiling them all into a beautiful video. If you are looking for a cinematographer - book right away! By chance, I found the website for kiss the bride films and contacted Leslie because I needed an affordable cinematographer. She was very good about trying to accommodate to my price - I ended up getting a single shooter for 5 hours (which included highlight reel and an hour edited documentary of the day). A bit before the wedding, our cinematographer - Alwyn (the BEST!!!) emailed me a questionnaire of song selections, how I wanted everything filmed, etc. We chatted back and forth and she was so great about answering my questions and helping me decide what I wanted for the video. Well... along came Hurricane Sandy and a gas shortage. I didn't have power for 11 days (or during our wedding!) and was going cuckoo making sure everything was still happening. Since Kiss the Bride was coming from Brooklyn - and with the crazy gas shortage and no public transportation, Alwyn didn't have a way to get out to me. She reached out to my photographer and got a ride and ended up staying many extra hours. I felt so bad because she went above and beyond to figure out how to get to me. She didn't even contact me because she didn't want to worry me about anything! On the big day - Alwyn was so sweet. She was not intrusive at all - I hardly knew she was there during our big moments! But when it was time to film some close up shots, she was great at giving direction so my hubs and I didn't feel awkward or strange. She helped me feel so comfortable and confident on my big day! I got my highlight reel and documentary in about 18ish weeks. So worth the wait. She was able to pull my husband and my personality and really capture it on camera. While we were watching our documentary - I laughed and cried and relived how magical our day was. All in all - I am so lucky that we had Alwyn and were able to work with Kiss the Bride Films. My husband says that out of all of our decisions we made for our wedding - this was my best one, and I totally agree. read more

This happy bride got married in May 2013. We have finally settled down from all of the wedding hoopla and are ready to dish out some wedding advice to future brides and grooms. Like other couples, my husband and I are weren't even sure we wanted to hire a videographer. We aren't good "on screen", hell, we even had a hard time posing for photos on our wedding day. Despite this, we didn't want to completely discount the idea of filming the wedding, so on on one of our many "wedding research" days, we came across Kiss the Bride Films via a wedding site that featured one of their highlight reels (for the life of me, I cannot recall which site, though). After we viewed that video, I kid you not, I watched Kiss the Bride highlight reels on Vimeo for hours. Go ahead and try it... I dare you to try to pull yourself away once you get started. They were all different, but equally beautiful and filled with emotion, yet not over the top or cheesy. We then decided that having our wedding documented would not be such a bad idea after all. We could watch the videos with our families and future kids and we'd always have these clips to remind us of our day. After exchanging several emails with Alwyn, who turned out to be our "go to person" at Kiss the Bride, we had a brief and informal meeting with Andy at a Starbucks in Manhattan. Andy rode his bicycle to the meeting so we immediately loved him. We chatted with Andy for about 30 minutes and he seemed to really get us. He was a good listener and very patient (which was even more evident on our wedding day). We knew he'd get along with our Photographer (Laura Leigh Photos) and so it was a no brainer. We went home and booked with KTB. Fast forward to just a month before our wedding....Sadly, my husband's mom became very ill and we decided to postpone our wedding (which was a very difficult process). KTB was super helpful, very understanding, and very compassionate. They were the consummate professionals, exactly the kind of company you want working with you. If they can work with you through your hardest moments, they can definitely work with you on the best day of your life! Finally, several months after our original wedding date our big day arrived. Andy and Nadia went to see Sleem and his groomsmen at our place first. Sleem says Andy fit right in and was easy going and was able to put up with our clowny friends and family. Then, Nadia met me and my bridesmaids at the hotel where I was getting ready. She was very unobtrusive and had a very calming effect. We were, of course, running late, but she was cool as a cucumber and got straight to work. The entire time at the wedding, starting from the ceremony to the very last shot outside by the lit trees (which was Andy's brilliant idea), both Andy and Nadia worked discreetly around all of the people and all of our special moments. I was so anxious to see our video and about a month and a half after our wedding, while we were on our honeymoon, we got an email from Alwyn saying that our highlight reel was ready. We watched it and loved it immediately, but requested a few changes, which the team very quickly completed. We cannot express enough what a stunning work of art we consider our highlight reel to be. We are amazed at the types of shots they captured and included (me winking at Sleem, my dad's shocked face when he first saw me, the awesome dancing and more). The tempo of the music perfectly matched each scene in the reel. If you are looking for a wedding vendor that is classy, professional, reasonably priced, and most importantly, who takes your wedding as seriously as you do, then it's a no brainer, Kiss the Bride is the best choice. read more

Nope, I don't want a video of my wedding. I stood by that statement until a month before my wedding. Then, like the stories I heard before that, I panicked and wanted a video. I was frustrated looking through videographers. I felt like most videos were cheesy and poorly shot or edited. I didn't want bright lights blinding the guests or for anyone to feel awkward being videoed. I have to give the credit to my father for finding Alwyn and Leslie. Their work was cinematic. Leslie added to the calm of the day for me. She worked really well with my photographers. My video is like the moving version of my photos - both having the same artistic feel. I love my video and am so glad I came to my senses. My wedding day was overwhelming and gone in the blink of an eye and I have this beautiful movie I can watch now and enjoy the day all over again. read more

Don't mess around with any other videographer. Period. These guys were amazing. Alwyn and Leslie created something so beautfiul with our wedding teaser video that we will never forget. I work in the creative field and we actually have a Video Production team in-house at our company and these guys are cynics...but they made it a point to go out of their way to tell me how much they liked our video and that it was unlike the rest of the "cheesy" type of wedding videos out there. Between the value, the ease of working with Alwyn/Leslie, how they handled everything on-site and, of course, the final product...I couldn't ask for anything else. And FWIW, they also made the editing process easy (which I was dreading, from past experience doing this in my career)...but their first version was so good, it made the subsequent rounds of edits seamless. My wife and I got married in May, and we are beyond happy with Kiss the Bride Films! Before we chose Leslie and her crew, we compiled a list of videographer websites and went through a good dozen of them. We loved the highlight reels on Kiss the Bride's website and on Vimeo, so we set up a meeting with Leslie. By the end of the meeting, we were impressed with her and her company, so we signed on. Two weeks after our wedding, we received an e-mail from Kiss the Bride - it was our highlight reel! We were thrilled with the quick turnaround, but even more so with the actual product. We've watched it many times, even after we received the actual 40 minute film of wedding. As to that longer film, we loved it! We filled out a questionnaire for them before the wedding, and they delivered pretty much everything we asked for, including using music that we selected. They made it all work, and their shots were spot on. They captured the beauty of the mansion, they captured the beauty of my wife, and gave us a great sampling of our wedding guests. In my opinion, having a videographer is just as important as a photographer. I saw many videos which were typical; not creative and if that wasn't the case then they were just way over-priced. Kiss The Bride Films stood out to me on many levels and after talking it over with my fiance, we decided to hire them. It turned out to be one of the best decisions that we made on our wedding day. Amazing! I just finished watching the "highlight reel" that they created from our wedding footage. I am so impressed by the work they did. We chose them because we love all of their films that we've seen, but watching our own was incredible. I felt transported back to the night. They really captured so much emotion in such a real way. Despite the films effusive emotionality it does not feel at all cliche, canned or cheesy (granted, i may not be the most objective viewer - check it our yourself). I've only received our 5 minute wedding trailer so far, but I can't stop watching it! Kiss the Bride (specifically Juliana and Sino) captured the day so beautifully and it is incredible to be able to re-live it. I posted our video and have gotten many compliments. The editing is so professional and impressive. Juliana and Sino were so kind to work with and unobtrusive. I barely noticed them, and yet they managed to capture every special moment. I basically found Kiss the Bride through this Yelp page, and after watching lots of their beautiful trailers decided on them. I was a little nervous that we hadn't met anyone from the company and had had little interaction with them during the planning process, but they pulled through on all our expectations (probably thanks to the detailed planning page they ask you to fill our shortly before the day). We got married on August 30, 2015. For a host of reasons we didn't decide to have videographers until August 17th. We scrambled and found Alwyn and Kiss the Bride and hoped they were available and as luck would have it, they were. Turns out it was one of the best decisions we made. We dealt the most with Alwyn, and Alwyn and Ruben were at our wedding, and frankly I would love to just be regular friends with them, especially Alwyn (only because we know her much better, I bet I'd feel the same about Ruben if we'd talked with him more) because she's just that great. She was professional of course, from start to finish, but also a fun and delightful addition to the wedding. She and Ruben were unobtrusive yet there for every shot. They handled our wedding photographer, who has a radically different artistic style, with aplomb. And they made terrific choices throughout. All of which, great as it is, still didn't prepare us for the film we received. I'll spare you the various film-buff stuff and just say that it was perfect. It was everything we wanted in a wedding video and more. Every bride wants their wedding day to be perfect and I knew I wanted an awesome videographer to capture each moment. Luckily I was able to witness Leslie Satterfield's work first hand being a bridesmaid in another wedding. After seeing how hardworking she was and how AWESOME she was to be around, I knew I wanted her to film our wedding. She is completely unobtrusive and sometimes you won't even notice she's filming you but in the end she captures each and every important detail and does not miss a thing. We booked her for the entire day which totaled to be about 15+ hours but it was totally worth it. And she was a trooper - two ceremonies in one day. I worried that since she was working alone that she might miss some things but that is totally NOT the case. She works hard to get everything in. For the past years I have cringed at bad wedding videos hoping that one day I could instead have a clean professional video that I can watch over and over!! Referred by my photographer Joshua Dwain(google him, AWESOME) KISSTHEBRIDE films came highly recommended. Her work is so amazing and so professional it looks like a movie. I really wanted to capture moments and intricate details surrounding my day. Just this Saturday I got married in Brooklyn and the videographer arrived at my house earlier than expected and got straight to work! She wasn't one of those annoying videographers that drive everybody crazy with gazillion requests, she did her job with much ease and shot me and my family as I prepped with make up or hair.
