You need to experience this restaurant for yourself as we did. We wanted to go to the Asian side and hopped on a ferry for what we thought was the central part of this side. It is less crowded than the locations around the Blue Mosque. The Ferry is a great way to get around. We stayed too long because it was amazing and took a cab home, reasonable by US standers, but not as inexpensive as the ferry. One of our party of 8 used yelp and she saw Delmare after reading the reviews we walked to the location. Located in an exclusive area on the Asian side of Istanbul. They have large windows that opened, with an unobstructed view of the water. Breath taking view and the ambulance was romantic and classy. They brought the starters out on a large wooden looking tray with about 30 beautiful starters so you could see and ask questions. Stunning. The fish main was plenty for two, or could have family style and share all of the dishes. We used chat GBT to translate the whole menu. I totally recommend sharing dishes with your party. They had a starter of fish taco, which I loved, and a white fish, lots of fish! I believe they also had an Italian restaurant there as well. Enjoy!

For starters, I recommend the restaurant special of fish in white / Alfredo's type sauce (it's heavy so make sure you're hungry)! Save room for dessert, they have homemade baklava and ask for kaymak or ice cream with it! Heavenly!! We were 5 people and ordered a ton of food, including wine, our bill came to $180 total. This meal would easily cost at least $300 in the US. Well worth it!

Not sure if Baltazar is from an entrepreneur, but it definitely feels like. So someone with enough investment wanted to start a new franchise. You know what i like better, restaurants opened up by chef's who put their years of hard work, their soul, and their heart. It's a general problem with Karakoy area, so many cool places, but you feel everything is artificial. Just like Baltazar. I'm sure given a few more years these places will start to find their character. One kudos to them, their meat is really really tasty. But they really need the attention, care, and passion to cook it better and serve it better. They should goo look for traditional Turkish restaurants and learn from their care for their food and customers. If a steak house brings you well done, even though you asked medium, it's just not caring. I'm sure they know how to cook medium. Ohh... And I asked for an espresso and they said the machine is not working. I told them they are surrounded by cafes go and bring me from one of them. They thought about it, discussed it and after 5 mins they brought me a cup from the cafe next door. Any good Turkish restaurant would do it in a heartbeat, without a debate. So you see good service is not a decision, it's an impulse.
