What a partnership to have these two neat shops in the Fulton/ Clinton area... And just across the street from one another! They were open the day after Thanksgiving and had quite the Christmas spread. Really pretty and put me in the mood for the holidays. This is a shop you could frequent on the reg and always find a new treasure tucked away on some magical shelf. It's definitely a must when purchasing a gift on the fly. Review Visit: July 25th, 2016…read more Calico Cat is located on the ever-popular Seminary street in Galesburg, IL. Offering gifts, odds and ends, candy, and a vast assortment of decor for your home. I visited the Calico on my first trip to Galesburg with a group of friends. They showed me around the town and we ended the trip at Calico Cat. It has a large amount of cool things that, if money weren't an issue, I would have all over my apartment. The staff is beyond amazing and they just offer so much! Candles, fudge, coloring books, wall art, socks... the list is almost endless. I have gotten Espresso fudge each time I have gone back and it is fantastic. Be warned though, they have a lot of cool stuff, but they are also pricey. But that is the price you pay for a niche gift shop with so many cool things. Sadly, I do not really have many photos from inside the store. But I will try and update with some as I go back.

They do have a Facebook page that they seem to keep updated, so I'd check that put. As soon as you walk into the shop it smells like heaven. There was a scensy with a lemon flavor that was very inviting. The wax melts were available to purchase. The room is filled with goodies. Prices range from cheap to some items being a bit on the pricey side. I'd have to say there will be something for everyone. There are so many little rooms so I won't spoil the layout. This was a lot of fun to browse through, as well as supporting local business. We can't wait to go back to That One Place!!!! The lady at the counter was SO sweet. My only suggestion would be putting a sign off Bluff so people know where it is, I can see how people might not be able to find it. It is between College/18th, and Bluff Elementary.
