I had bought a chain online to replace the one I currently had it on ($10 silver chain) and they asked if I want them to fix this cheap chain. I said no the chain really isn't worth fixing, and I have a new one coming. The lady proceeds to get really passive aggressive saying well free, is definitely less than 0 and her time is all will be invested then I ask her if she offering to fix it for free, and I certainly didn't expect that and I appreciate it I smile and say of course and she turns her back to me snarkily and goes back to fix it, and I say I'll be glad to pay you, I'm totally embarrassed now others customers have heard all this, she doesn't respond, just storms off She had made me feel so ashamed as if I've done something wrong, totally embarrassed me in front of other customers. Made me feel like I came in to get something for nothing which I didn't. I didn't expect them to fix the chain for free, Didn't ask, they offered. So anyway, in my haste, I go buy something in the store I don't need. A good sturdy silver chain (twice the price of the one I ordered in Amazon and not as nice actually) but I didn't want to be made out as a cheapskate. So then the guy helps me put the repaired pendant and puts it around my neck after I asked him of course. My hands are Messed up due to a a skin disease, And I was wearing plastic gloves. I explain to him quickly why I can't do it myself but it appears they don't want me there as he is rushing me. I tell him I'm on a new medication and I hope it gets better, and he remarks he hopes so too, but not in a serious way. So then he says yeah, that looks much better, and the clasp is in the back how it should be! WTH now he's insulting me pointing out the apparently when I walked in the necklace clasp had rotated to the front So I paid for my overpriced sturdy silver necklace, the $5 Silver jumpring that was soldered onto my beautiful white gold Diamond charm, and mossied on my way. The insults and degradation they could have saved. They might want to charge reasonable prices for repair work, instead of shaming and guilting people for their "free" Services. And keep their personal insults about peoples imperfections to a limit. I mean was a necklace clasp showing in the front really worth bringing up? Where do these people get their customer service skills? I imagine if you come in there ready to spend big bucks I wager they are all compliments and respect. But beware if you don't have much money and just want a cheap simple repair, minus the attitude. Hi

It's funny, every time I walked in the store the pretense was palpable. The sales people are miserable, deplorable humans. The people that work there need to understand, all they do is peddle retail jewelry. You could train a primate to do it. I spent my money in Miami and got the watch I wanted. I am new to the area was so relieved to find such approachable professionals in Little Rock. The location is easy to find, just look for the Starbucks and you're in the right plaza. I came here to find my Diamond but the real gem is the people who run and operate this place. They are so hands on with their product they even have their own coutoure collection which is absolutely stunning and modern. I'm a bit of a ring snob and I couldn't find a single ugly one in the store. I don't see how you can come in here and not find something you love. I was referred to Jones & Son Fine Jewelry when my daughter was getting married, and a friend told…read moreus that they loaned jewelry for weddings. We went there and were treated kindly. The store had a limited amount of product, and nothing spectacular, but we did find and borrow two pairs of earrings. Overall, we had a happy wedding, and it was a good experience. I wanted to support Jones & Son because of their kindness, and over the next eight months, I must've spent $600 - $800 having various pieces of jewelry repaired or changed, including several pieces of jewelry I'd just bought on a trip to India. I soon discovered that Jones does not have a jeweler in-house, in the store. This meant it cost more for pieces to be sent out for repair or to be worked on in some way. It meant that no one at Jones can actually inform you about jewels that you bring in, about stones, because no one has the training or accreditation to actually talk about jewelry as an expert. I have a lot of vintage jewelry, and I want it to be in tip-top shape. The first time or two I took jewelry in, I thought the charges were a bit high. As time went on, my feeling about the charges steadily grew worse until the last time I brought in some pieces from India. This is when I'd had enough. The prices they charged me were enormously high, twice as much as other jewelry stores in town who do have jewelers in-house. I know because I checked. I told Jones that I was unhappy when I paid the bill, but I didn't tell them what I wanted to, which was I'd never come there again. I let my unhappiness as a Jones customer stew for weeks. Jones charged me $75 to laser-weld the band of a ring, and the prices for other repairs were equally outrageous. The same ring needed to be sized, and I finally went back to the store and told them I felt I'd been over-charged, and I was very unhappy about it. I'd like for them to size the ring for free, since I was their customer. They flatly said no with no remorse. There was not even a moment of consideration when I spoke to them about their service, their charges, and my feelings about them. In the end, I left there knowing I would never go back to this store to be overcharged again--and by an unknowledgeable staff. I would never give my support to any place of business, where I'd spent a good bit of money and gotten such wretched customer service. So unfortunate. It didn't have to be this way, but I could never now recommend Jones & Son to anyone.
