I confirmed that it would be ok. When Friday came around, she told me that she would not have scheduled a Friday appointment in my area. I told her everyone makes mistakes, and I have the voicemail from her stating that it would be scheduled for Friday if she would like to hear it. She said F___ you, I wouldn't schedule it for that day, and I'm sending your ticket back. I asked to speak to someone in charge. She said she was the boss. The technicians do a great job, but the "boss" is extremely unprofessional. Edit: It turns out the person who was rude on the phone was the secretary and not the actual boss. The actual boss called me the next day, and I shared the voicemail from the secretary with her. She apologized for the secretaries actions. The technician came out the next business day and quickly fixed my dryer. As a result, I'm bumping my review from one star to three stars. Hopefully the secretary will be less reactive in the future.

The place has a curious feel. Photos of bodybuilder pros on one wall with trophies. Weird thing to note: it's sort of a gym. But really, when you walk in, it's a store. They sell water stuff and bikes. It's an interesting setup. Everything is super close together. The store is right next to gym machine and all gym stuff really close together. Drop in fee/day pass was $15 per person. Locker room has a shower, there is a water fountain, and there were a small handful of people there. Only/best "gym" option in the area. I wouldn't return unless I absolutely had to get my training in and there weren't any other options.

After 2 1/2 weeks of not hearing from them, I called to get an update.. the lady on the phone said "oh, I don't know why they would have told you 2 weeks.. our jeweler went out of town this week, so it's going to be more like 3/4 weeks." When I knew I was making the trip, I reached out ahead of time and did some homework. With Kari's help I found a great sweater pattern and a skein of yarn to try it out (aka gauge check). I've never knit with this yarn before and here's why: Their yarn is 100% made in America; the sheep that are raised for their wool, the fiber that is spun into workable formats and the dyes used to create colorful yarn. That doesn't just happen. It's very mindful and specific and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! With swatches (think knit test patches) in hand, I came in to find the skeins for my sweater. Kari gave me a hand with measurements, helped me pick some well-matched skeins (remember, hand dyed means there are subtle variations with unique characteristics) and even found a sample of the sweater so I could double-check sleeve length. I left the store with the confidence to knit my first sweater and - hopefully - start a love affair with these amazing fibers. Everyone on staff was super friendly, offering tips and sharing their knitting adventures, as well as some local lore and weather chat. I'd be here for weekly knit night if I lived near by.
