Had been planning to get to this place for ages with my girlfriend, and we finally got our act together and made our way down for a naughty unhealthy dinner and find a nice spot to enjoy it. I have to say I don't think I've had a better fish 'n' chips experience outside an actual restaurant than we did here. The fish was fresh, and the batter not stodgy and heavy, nice and light, and the healthy dose of chips made for a pant-stretchingly good meal. Definitely not a place to go to every day of the week, but if you don't feel like cooking on a Friday and want something quick, cheap and tasty then Riddell Takeaway do a pretty good job of all the standard Kiwi takeaway options.

Tartar sauce packs were 50¢ each but malt vinegar was readily available on the table. Everything was piping hot when it came out.
