Place is straight cheeks. 1. Basic haircut should not cost $60 fkn dollars. 2. Says they can cut your hair a certain way then completely fcks it up & doesn't do the cut that was requested. If you cant do what was asked then say that straight up! 3. Doesn't go out of there way to talk price with customers - cut first then lets you know it'll cost an arm & a leg after the fact. Update as it's now the next day 5/8 - seems someone decided not only is $62 the price for a haircut but that they could just add a $40 tip on there own like no one would notice. Came in on their promo day for The Shop Product Launch & was welcomed right away. My 2 year old is usually very fussy but the guy who was cutting his hair was very careful and patient. Came here to KJ's to have my daughter's hair braided. It's been a long time since I've felt like I had a braider I could repeat business with. Well, that wait is officially over! Finally. This is the 3rd time here now. Each time, Milan has been consistently great. The braids are on point, clean and always have been done not only in a timely manner but also exactly how we requested it to be done. Speaking of time, Milan has been on time -or- early each and every time we've come here. Communication has been great and booking was extremely simple. Very easy to work with Milan. Today a chair was open when i got there...Nikki did an amazing job...she hooked me up 4realz...one of the best shave and a haircut I've had. As soon as you walk in, you'll see the the Bible open and display and KJ's means (Keeping Jesus) ..... just in case you didn't know... Pretty cool... Hands down the best spot to get haircut. We lived in tracy for about 5 years and it's been difficult finding barbers that know what there doing. We had a bad experience before and I would drive all the way back to San Jose where we were living before we lived out here to get my son a haircut. Shout out to barber Abel he hooked my son up he took the time to get it done and really made my son happy he got a few compliments when we left as well. Definitely needed to find someone new to cut my sons hair and while at the shoe shop next door seen this place. Since he agreed to a haircut I went in and waited. We got Ray to do my sons hair and it was his best experience. My son has gone to great clips and they knicked his ear and since he's always nervous with haircuts. Ray explained that the razor won't cut him by letting my son place the razor on his (ray) arm. That gave my son such a confidence boost that he sat and let him finish his hair. My son is in love with his hair and said that's where he wants to go now. I strongly suggest if you have a child that is a bit unsure he's the best to go to. Ray has a awesome personality and is very friendly. I recommend making an appt of course we did it sporadically so we waited a bit. This is my review on kid haircut but I did see the one he did before on an adult and it was perfect too! He gave my son the same respect and time as an adult and I very much appreciate that. Very bad and unprofessional the barabr who cut my son hair was not paying attention and cut my son and left him with bad hair cut because he was too busy arguing with other barber. So I went there today and got butchered, I have been before and was very satisfied. Lil bro Tev is the truth but the cat the cut my hair today whooped me. All I wanted was a taper, homeboy took my sides too high and the back.. left hella hair on my neck and then charged me 40 bucks!!! Only reason I paid it was because I'm working on my temper and needed to get out of there. I think bro shouldn't be cutting or at least turn down clients if you're not sure how to cut their hair. My go to guy is Thomas. Man, I've had it recently with people not fading my sides bald and he balded my head to the core. This isn't your typical barber shop either so be prepared for them to be loud, hilarious, but keeping it professional every time. It's more of a family type setting and you get to them like they're your best friends. If you don't like something, simply tell them. No need to post bad remarks about them. They'll listen to you. I've always wanted to have a barbershop like this in Tracy and I'm glad we have these guys. A bit pricy, but to me it's worth it. Good job guys and keep up the good work! read more

This place sucks! Very unprofessional. I've been to a lot of Barbers before & never have I seen such low class and no concern for their clients. I get you need an appointment but still they should accommodate not just "Ignore you." Walked in realized my appointment was canceled by mistake but there were two other little Kids waiting before me and God knows how long they were waiting but never got called up. No one to check in with & they don't even say I'll be right with you. Even knowing my appointment was canceled they still didn't even acknowledge or say I can get to you right after and it wasn't even that busy. This place sucks balls, stay away! read more

everything looked fine there but the Stylest Milan Amaria that was supposed to braid my hair didnt tell me an appointment was overlapping when I made one until I sat down from 2:40-3:15 with someone already in the chair who she said made their appointment a month ago so it was overlapped. Then she came and told me she didn't want me sitting there (after having me sit there) and to reschedule and I basically showed the disappointment saying it would've been nice to know before I . She said she didn't have her phone (her kids had it playing around the area). Her dodging the fact it was her fault for no profession and preparation. No apology just kept gaslighting me to make another appointment until she said i can just get my money back. After seeing another review of the same exact thing happening to someone else, i definitely did. The last professional part was she brought some guy over and "whispered" he can only stay for 10 more minutes and of course tell him a half a** story. Don't waste your time, she obviously doesn't care and it's easy to get a 5star on Booksy when only clients who finish can review. read more

Over the past 40 years going to the Barber Shop to get my hair cut, I have never experienced a Christian based Barber Shop like K J's Creation on Grant Line in Tracy, Ca. When my wife and I moved to Tracy a couple of years ago, my son-in- law introduced me to Joe Cannon who is the co-owner of K J's Creation and he has been my Barber ever since. What I like the most about K J's Barber Shop is the Christian Based environment as well as the personalized treatment not to mention the employees dress code and no profanity rules that are enforced by Mr. Cannon and his partner. As long as I reside in Tracy, I will continue to patronize K J's Creation Barber Shop on Grant Line and Mr. Cannon will be my primary Barber. Came in today for a simple hair cut and beard trim. Said I wanted a half guard on sides faded into the longer length hair that I had so he said ok. Even after showing a picture of how I keep my hair and how I do it he said okay. After the hair Cut he proceeds to trim beard area then trims my mustache which I didn't tell him to do so. At this point I can't tell him to stop the haircut or beard trim. Glad I didn't let him trim the top of my Hair.. after going home and styling my hair realizing more wrong with my hair cut and that my mustache is crooked I go in to see if I can get my money back or some back which I paid 40$. He came to talk to me and said he did what I said and that I was over exaggerating and just walks away... clearly someone needed the 20$ more than me. So drove home. We have been coming to kj's for years and have been very happy, until lately. The last few cuts my son got were not good and this last visit was absolutely unacceptable! He was cut up, literally! Came here about two weeks ago, i was in tow and needed a cut BAD. I got referred to LeShawn. It's been a challenge to find a barber that can keep my beard high up and well rounded. LeShawn did a textbook job! I'm really trying my best to get back in town, but i live in Hayward and Tracy isn't a walk up the street. I'd highly recommend LeShawn in this particular barbershop. No paint or bigen was used on my beard. Hasn't looked like this in years! read more
