Shawn asked for more money, I advised him that he is not getting more until the job is complete and I had Lein Releases from all the material suppliers. Then found out that he bounced checks to 2 of the suppliers and didn't pay for most all of the materials. Had 4 separate companies threaten to put a lien on my property unless the materials were paid for. I had to personally go pay those companies for the materials used on my property under Domer Enterprises account in order to prevent the Lein being put on my property. I then had to work with other companies to get the job done. What I owed Shawn was less than he owed for the materials and Shawn has agreed to pay me the difference and just makes empty promises and now he is unresponsive. I have also learned that Shawn did not get the framing inspection done and now I have to have the inside walls taken down to add bracing that he didn't do. Aside from all this, the workmanship is very poor, missing screws, steel cut poorly on the ends, steel not lining up nicely in multiple places. This owner of this business will do anything and everything to get you to buy one of these sheds…read more After all the promises to build up the base on my hill 18-24 inches so the mud would not run off into the side of the shed... and after daily concerns expressed about this not being done as promised ( and being told daily that he would take care of it and not to worry), the shed was erected and less than one week later the mud had already begun to gather and rest at the base of the shed splashing up as high as 6 feet on the wall on the side facing the hill. I was so desperate to get him to do this as promised because $4500. is a lot of money to someone living on a fixed income. I even wrote him a long glowing review in the hopes it would encourage him to fix the things as he promised. He just didn't care and kept turning the fault on me and my son. So if you happen to see the review I wrote... know that it is false and I wrote him a cease and desist letter telling him he was not able to use that review. I even offered to pay an additional $1,000 to get him to do it right as he had promised so many times. In the end he told me I was his worst customer and he would not fix it. He also states the rock base becomes like concrete once it is wet. I have had this shed for months now and the rock base (which is only on the one side) keeps sliding down the hill and I have to keep raking it back up. I had to pay a separate party $1800.00 to cut away the ground and build a retaining wall of blocks to prevent more damage. The shed also leaked in two places. When I showed this to the owner of Iowa Sheds, he told me it looked like I had placed a bucket of water on one of the spots because the soaked spot was round. Unbelievable! Do NOT do business with this company. The man is so desperate to make a sale because he lives in his office building because he cannot afford to rent a place to live. He is well spoken in the beginning during the sale. After the money was handed over, he began expressing his religious, political and racist views. He hates our president, stated he feels a woman's place is in the home, expressed his opinion about how gay and lesbian couples should not be allowed to marry, etc. It is okay to have these opinions and feelings. It is NOT okay to express them to your customers. Very unprofessional ! The shed itself would be a good one if it was actually made out of all the materials he claimed, did not leak, 70% was not sitting directly on the muddy ground and if it had the promised 18"- 24" base on both sides. We were greeted right away by the owners and everyone else we encountered were extremely helpful. 4/5 stars because this is a smaller greenhouse. ACC did not inform myself or my sales person of the date they planned to install. I did not receive a call the day of install to confirm or give a time frame, which is something they did do on the day they came to measure so I was really surprised that I didn't hear from them when they were on their way. It has been 4 days now and my sales person and I have both tried to get a new date scheduled but we cannot get anyone to talk with us to resolve the situation, even to the point of trying to contact the owner but still no response. The only thing I've been able to get from the receptionist is that they are currently scheduling 2 weeks out, I would have to wait until then. I do not feel that it is acceptable that I should have to go to the end of the list just because somewhere along the line the chain of communication broke down. I have not been made to feel that my concerns are important to them or that getting to my install in an acceptable timeframe is of any importance to ACC at all. There is a lot of finger point between my sales person and ACC but no movement towards a resolution. My next stop will be the Better Business Bureau to work toward a full refund so that I can take my business elsewhere.
