Each place we went was so carefully planned and curated. We visited wineries, vineyards and a sheep farm that makes cheese. With his help, we were able to visit every place we wanted to see as well as some smaller unknown, hidden gems. There is even a pool to remove the heat of the day. Everyone we met from owners to tour guide to cleaning staff have the nicest and most pleasant demeanors - helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

He was such a great host! Nothing beats having the owner and winemaker lead these wine tastings. It was informal and fun. He even made lunch reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. And lunch at the restaurant he booked us in was fantastic too! We all loved his wines and ended up ordering 6 cases to be shipped home.

Paolo Montioni is an excellent host! Their Umbrian wines and olive oils are excellent. I have also ordered wine by email from Montioni for delivery at home. As Paolo last wrote to me: "We are safe and we are working very hard ......the Nature is outstanding in this moment." We look forward to our next visit to Montefalco and Montioni!

Our tour guide, Daniella, explained the wines and motivation of Canneto while in the barrel room and made sure we had a fun tasting. The wines were all big and expressive of the land, packing a real punch without letting the alcohol overpower the taste of the grapes. Canneto is doing well recognizing their strength as a smaller producer in creating superior wines.
