Now when I sat down to write this review I had to think long and hard about everything I wanted say to make sure that I covered every aspect of the farm and what they do there. So here goes.... This is a locally owned and operated farm run by Jonathan and Judith, which are two of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to come across. They offer a wide range of goods depending on the season. They sell chickens which are borderline small turkeys a couple of times of year that have been fed with certified organic grain. You can buy fresh farm eggs and they offer all natural grass fed beef with no hormones. Also they are in the process of offering honey. The great thing about this place is number one the products are top notch and if you try live a healthy lifestyle their meat and eggs can't be beat. Number two is the way they go about running their business. Jonathan was just awarded "Conservation Farmer of the year" for the mid state. Everything they do is very "Green" from the use of solar panels to run their irrigation pumps to using natural springs to water the animals. They are also very involved with local farm coalitions which try to promote success and continuation of family owned farms. Their dedication and efforts toward this cause is very commendable. I have actually had a chance to go and take a tour of the farm and see some of day to day operations. The work that goes into running a small farm is overwhelming. Talking to Jonathan about all his efforts was impressive though just because of the joy he gets from this. You can just tell when someone actually loves what they do. So if you are looking for some chicken, beef or even some eggs, I highly recommend this farm. The whole point of Yelp is spreading the word about great places and the majority of it's members do their best to support locally owned bussinesses and I can't think of a better one to get behind. Take the short drive from Nashville to Joelton even if it's just to visit the farm. I know from first hand experience your kids will love getting to see the animals, you will enjoy getting a tour and learning about farm life and the process behind rasing organic beef. Trust me on this, you will not find better tasting meat or meat thats better for you around anywhere! Tell them you are from Yelp for a special discount and tell them I sent you. You may want to arrive a bit earlier in the day if you have your eye on something in particular. If you're a local to the area, you will most likely see someone you know. In fact, one weekend, there were at least three families we recognized in the park! This makes your shopping experience that much more personal and pleasant, especially in pandemic times. Take a leisurely stroll through the different stalls, making small talk with strangers, sellers, and friends alike. That's my kind of Saturday. We ended up purchasing a beautiful blanket from The Nashville Blanket Project which gives a blanket to someone in need for each one purchased. It comes with an adorable "Keep Nashville Cozy" tote bag. My partner also purchased a (high premium) banana pudding in glassware that he devoured in a matter of minutes. (I'm not sure I recommend the double-digit price tag on that on, delicious as it was and vegn as it was.) All the stalls were dappled in sunlight, and the winter air felt more like a summer breeze. Sigh. I did wish I had stopped here first! Everyone was very friendly and there was anything and everything you could ask for at a Farmer's Market! This was much more of a "bustling market" and since it is on the grass, families were able to spread out blankets and could stay to enjoy the live music! I very much enjoyed walking through and browsing, but as I had already purchased what I needed from the other farmer's market, I did not purchase anything this time around. However, I did feel that the vendors at the other location were a bit more personable and were very generous with samples and talking about what they offer. This one lacked that slightly, but overall had more of what I needed.

For a small city of 150k they have a pretty robust and well attended farmers market. For a while I was jealous as it was just as big as some of them in Indianapolis, IN of nearly 900k. My number 1 judge of a good farmers market is the amount and diversity of produce. They don't let down here in Clarksville, plenty of produce and lots of variety. There are plenty of crafts and other things but a good amount of produce. The only downside with this market is that it can get very busy and parking is limited right near it so be prepared to possibly park a few blocks away. All in all its a good market in the great city of Clarksville, TN

In Bellevue at a modest grey house are modest racks and bins of great produce. Of course some produce like bananas come from a distance but much is from our neck of the woods. Mike Baudinot's store is conveniently near the I-40 Old Hickory exit, so for West Nashy neighbors Bellview Produce is easy to visit. You will know the owner when you see him since Baudinot is a down-home big teddybear of a man. The mouthful of juicy goodness when I bit into one of his red ripe Jetsetter tomatoes was blissful. I love the fresh okra and also like the Tennessee maple syrup, raw honey, cane sorghum and preserves here. Sometimes the bottles of Mrs. Renfro's Salsa sell out, but when her spicy product is in stock it's a good buy for garnish or dipping. In closing I must say that blackberries in Bellevue are best at Baudinot's Bellview Produce.

Her and her husband transplanted in Nashville a number of years ago from Massachusetts where they had a previous farm. At the Farmer's Market, they have a large number of cuts for sell along with different types of sheep's milk cheese! This is what I was sold on. She allows you to sample the cheese along with their different lamb jerkies. They do have award winning cheese that, of course, they had sold out of for the day when I was there. I was personally attracted to their garlic peppercorn cheese, I purchased their ground lamb and the peppercorn cheese to take home. I have never prepared lamb at home, so as a starter, I thought I would try something low key then work my way up to some of their other type cuts. They literally sell every part of the animal and for the pricing - you really get a decent deal. Please check out some of the photos I took. I really thought this was useful for someone who is not as informed about lamb cuts. It really helped me out and with that information, it helps me absorb what I hope to eat in the near future. A sweet little place to pick strawberries and support your local farmer!…read more Head's was a bit of a trek for us-- roughly 40 minutes, but I wanted to pick berries for Mother's Day, and they were open (12 to 5). This was our first time picking here, and I'd say it was a success! They have several patches and lots of berries that weren't super over-picked yet. I *think* it was roughly $2.75 per pound. There is a little playground for kids-- to include swings, a tunnel slide, and a sand pit. They also have one of those cute signs you stick your head in for photo ops. There's a large pavillion with several picnic tables located next to the family's homemade ice cream truck. Ice cream was $6 a bowl, and if I remember correctly, they had vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and banana ice cream. Lemonade was donation based. They have a small shop up front on the property, but we came closer to closing time, so I didn't want to bother anyone by going inside. I'd definitely like to go back to check it out, though! There are 2 port-a-potties on site, and both were relatively clean/smelled okay for being the end of the day. There was a hand washing station outside. All in all, I had a really positive experience and would go back!
