Our fantastic week at Knotty and Nice set the stage for our very successful Family Gathering. Having lived away from Tennessee these many years we once again immersed ourselves in this little piece of Tennessee Paradise. It was perfect and has everything we love. The house is amazing and the property has something for everyone. Beautiful horses on green pastures, a babbling creek to wade, secluded trails to hike, gorgeous landscaping to admire and warm and friendly innkeepers. Thanks! We will be back.

A sweet little place to pick strawberries and support your local farmer!…read more Head's was a bit of a trek for us-- roughly 40 minutes, but I wanted to pick berries for Mother's Day, and they were open (12 to 5). This was our first time picking here, and I'd say it was a success! They have several patches and lots of berries that weren't super over-picked yet. I *think* it was roughly $2.75 per pound. There is a little playground for kids-- to include swings, a tunnel slide, and a sand pit. They also have one of those cute signs you stick your head in for photo ops. There's a large pavillion with several picnic tables located next to the family's homemade ice cream truck. Ice cream was $6 a bowl, and if I remember correctly, they had vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and banana ice cream. Lemonade was donation based. They have a small shop up front on the property, but we came closer to closing time, so I didn't want to bother anyone by going inside. I'd definitely like to go back to check it out, though! There are 2 port-a-potties on site, and both were relatively clean/smelled okay for being the end of the day. There was a hand washing station outside. All in all, I had a really positive experience and would go back!

Could make a better experience: Price - $60 seemed fair for something unique but then you add on the fees/taxes and it's $74.25 per person, not sure where that additional ~$15 goes but I'd be much more inclined to return if there's a way to pay without the additional fees. (Also, website descriptions say $55 then the price is $60 - fix to match increase.) We definitely thought there would be more to do with the horses. Even if customers can't do something, maybe show off any tricks or special things the horses to make it more about the Equine than the Wine! Overall, if you love horses and are looking for something different to do in Nashville, this is it! M2 has different options between brunch, bourbon, wine, and even olive oil tastings on a beautiful piece of land in Goodlettsville.
