I don't understand how this place pays the rent... I was a walk-in one morning. There were two barbers, each with clients. They each greeted me politely. One patron was waiting before me. After about 15 minutes, a third barber came in and he took that first waiting customer. I sat and waited my turn patiently. It took the first barber that would finish up an additional 20 minutes with his client-- who was BALD, by the way-- between jibber-jabbing and joking, and spray painting the client's beard. In the meantime a new patron walked in. When that barber finished with his only client he had during these 35 minutes I had been waiting,-- again, BALD-- he took this other client. When I inquired he said he "only takes appointments", and that the third barber that walked in late would take me next (him not taking walk-ins does make sense to me). Considering this third barber-- also with a BALD client-- seemed to be on the same timeline trajectory as the other two barbers, I figured it would be at least another 20 minutes before I got in a chair, and since I'm not quite BALD yet-- I'm BALDING... there's a DING-- my haircut would've taken 3-6 weeks at best estimate. Now that I think about it, maybe those other patrons shaved their head before going to Klean Kutz in an effort to save time getting their haircut. Clever. read more

I was on base up the street last month and was looking for a place to cut my hair so I went to the barber there. If you're looking for a regular haircut or to just tape up; cool. But if you're looking for a bald look or a fresh new cut you need to go outside. Many outside barbers don't have the necessary tools although they act like a men's can-do-all barber. Klean Kuts is the place to go for all your needs. Check out the photos of what they are able to do. Laron took his time and was very patient. He delivered exactly what I asked. High Bald Fade. Very High and Very Bald. I'm not sure what issues the other reviewer had, but y'all should give these guys a try. The patrons I spoke to had accolades for Mike and Laron. Just to let you know 4 stars is high in my book and I don't give out 5s regularly. Couple of things for them to work on. When I went there no one was there. Luckily a young man (a Godson) had Mike's number. He was out on business and said Laron was coming in at 345. Worth the wait but Laron didn't get there until after 415. I understand there may have been a miscommunication. Also, there was an extra charge for using a credit card. It was a little more than what I pay back home, but damn I looked good. And Laron, brah, I owe you a tip. See you in June. read more

Please do not go here if you want professionalism. The first time I went I waited 1hr 45 mins. The guy to the lonesome right did a pretty decent job. The 2nd time I went, I walk in and the owner, Mike does not even greet me or other customers. There were like 7 people waiting to get cuts. I sat down and noticed there was only 1 barber and concluded that it was going to take AWHILE. I walk out and decide to sit in my car to research nearby barber shops with better reviews. As I sit in my car another barber pulls up outta nowhere and a lady walks in at the same time and he starts cutting her hair. People start walking out that were waiting there previously. I'm a FLETC student and just wanted a haircut. Most likely never going back here unless it's a last resort. read more

I googled this location on my way home and just wanted to efficiently stop, get a cut and then continue on North as I drive home. The reviews and pictures told me that they do good work, so we stopped in. The haircut was amazing, my wife loved the Barber (he also was the more customer friendly) and he also worked pretty fast. Thanks for the great cut. Why not 5 Stars? I really wanted to give them 5. Guys when you run a business figure out what type of shop do you want and what type of clientele. If you are going to utilize a sign in roster, make sure that this method is fair and fool proof. Don't allow people to sign in and leave, when it is time for them to be cut and they are not there then they lose the spot and have to sign in again. Fair, a person serious about the cut will wait for their turn, flippantly walking out and coming back and jumping others on the list who have waited and would be next should not be jumped by a person that signed in earlier but missed their turn. When you fix this then you will be an elite establishment. When you call out the names please make sure that everyone can hear you, the guy that called out seemed very shy. What I am trying to get you to fix is the transparency of who is next, simple fix, tons of rewards, but until then why should we come there and spend money? read more

The worst haircut I ever received in my life. I asked for a low fade, very light beard trim (to keep length) and I 1/2 inch scissor cut off the top. The haircut started off with my mustache immediately being shaved and disconnected from the rest of my beard. Next, my beard was trimmed so much, it'll take me 6-8 weeks to grow back to where it was. My 1/2 inch scissor cut was immediately ruined when the barber took clippers directly over my head. The barber was rude and demanded "I go to Target across the street" to get scissors if I wanted to cut my hair. Next, he questioned why I didn't give him a tip after paying him. Horrible place. I'd give no stars if I could this place is pure trash. I asked for a low face, nothing off the top and a very light beard trim and left with my beard so bad I had to shave it completely, missing half the hair on top of head and he messed up my hair line so I can't have my hair the way I normally have it and had the audacity to charge me $30 for the worst hair cut I have ever gotten in my life read more

Good barber shop with comfortable couches and a large screen TV with good sports content. Shop is clean, cold and comfortable! Barbers accept cash or the CashApp which is very convenient. Watched some great Showtime boxing programming before and during my last cut. $16 for a quality cut works for me! Will be back! Keep up the good work! read more

I spent a month on Saint Simons and needed to find a barber to keep my fade clean, I had a business meeting coming up. Klean Kuts popped up on yelp and and I gave them a shot. Honestly I'm always a little concerned when trying a new barber, result can vary significantly from the quality of craftsmanship to the environment of the shop. I can say this is a good spot to get your hair cut. Reasonable price, the shop is clean, the guys are social but professional and the wait wasn't bad. LeRon is the man, nice guy and knows what he is doing. When I sat in the chair, he greeted me, looked my hair and said "ok fade nothing crazy just clean, tidy, and professional" which is exactly how I roll. He did an awesome job. I noticed when waiting he was taking good care of some younger clients and from my view knew how to handle the current styles. On second visit LeRon recognized me and went right to work. Very professional brother I can recommend him highly enough. I travel to the area often and will definitely be back. Thank you for two excellent experiences. read more

I am new to the Brunswick area and this was my second time at Klean Kutz. I got cut with Mike the first and second time. The first time was decent but the SECOND TIME! OMFG!! This man pushed my hairline waaaaayyy into left field! I've never in my entire life gotten a haircut this bad! Lines are sloppy and not straight! Instead of admitting to the customer he made a mistake he kept trying to correct it making it worse!! He claims he has been cutting hair for 15+ years but from the looks of my haircut evidently that cannot be true! TWO THUMBS WAY DOWN! I won't condemn the other barbers there or the barber shop entirely but this dude sucks! STAY AWAY FROM MIKE!!! read more

This was probably one of the worst hair cuts I've ever gotten. A lot of spots were missed and I wasn't given even close to what I asked for. I won't be heading back there again. My experience starts with a quick story. I came to this barbershop because I had a problem. I listened to a couple of my friends and let another buddy of ours cut my hair because they said "he was good". Needless to say he freaking murdered my haircut and hey when it comes ti my hair I am picky. It was do bad I almost decided to shave it all. Somebody recommended Klean Kuts, so I desperately decided to go there, but keep in mind it was almost 8pm. When I arrive and got inside the barbershop there was Mike... He professionally told me that the barbershop was closed that he was just attending his last 2 customers. I almost died when he said that. I decided to explain my situation and show him my hair. When he saw me, he said right away " go ahead and sit down brother, I can't let you go looking like that". When my turn was up he he not only fixed my hair, but he gave me one of the best low fades I have ever gotten. So to finish this review I fully recommend this Barbershop and look Specifically for Mike. This dude is a BEAST and will fix you the right way. I almost felt like I was in Ice cube movie the Barbershop. This place jas an awesome vibe. read more
